Chapter 5 - Chapter Four - Bringing it Home

"Sorry, I'll let go!" Xie Sen said, his head dazed.

The next moment, his face pressed against the other's back. The moment their contact, he felt the immense strength of the other's body, a sense of security. Oh

my god! Xie Sen stared, fatigue washing over him like a tide. He half-closed his eyes, bewildered. What was going on? He suddenly lost control of his movements!

If the other person was a woman, it would be like a sex maniac!

Oh, no, there were no women in this world. He didn't know if this person was male or female, but judging by his height of around 1.9 meters, he was probably a male.

Maine's narrow, phoenix-like eyes narrowed slightly, his mouth curled up, but his brows etched with disgust. He grabbed Xie Sen's hand that was wrapped around his waist, turned half-sideways, and twisted it back.

"Ah..." Xie Sen cried out in pain, but the cry of pain soon ceased, and Xie Sen fell unconscious, his body limp.

Before he fell unconscious, he saw a remarkably beautiful face.

Maine's brow furrowed, and a flicker of surprise flashed in his eyes when he took in Xie Sen's appearance. He reached out to steady him before Xie Sen hit the ground.

"You're not even a man, how dare you use such harsh methods on a female!" A passing worker, leaving his shift, couldn't help but criticize.

"Yes, this female clearly loves you. She ignored your refusal and continued to get close to you. How could you have the heart to do that?" a fellow worker chimed in.

"You've knocked someone unconscious! That's outrageous!" another accused, turning to ask his companion, "Should we call the police?"

Maine's handsome face darkened as he looked at the three of them, offering a faint smile. "It's my fault. He wasn't feeling well, yet he came looking for me. I'm just worried about him. I'll take him home and take good care of him." "

I see. You're truly blessed to have found a female who loves you so much."

A fortunate Maine lifted Xie Sen horizontally, carrying a person without any impact on him. He quickly walked to the parking lot and arrived at a black shuttle. He placed Xie Sen in the back seat, got into the driver's seat, and set the route.

He turned to look at Xie Sen, still in a coma. Female? If she were, her suicide wouldn't be making the school headlines.

Recalling the mocking remarks he'd once heard about someone being neither male nor female, his eyes lit up with disgust. What idiots!

When Xie Sen woke up, he was stunned by the blue ceiling, then he scrambled to his feet. Where was this?

The room was a predominantly blue, small and warmly decorated. It definitely wasn't a hospital.

Thinking back to what happened before he fell unconscious, he extended his left hand, then his right, clapped his hands, then clenched his fists, making sure he could control his movements. He breathed a sigh of relief, though a sense of unease remained.

"Click..." The door creaked open, and he whipped his head around.

The door opened, revealing a man over 1.9 meters tall. He had distinct features and a handsome face, his short blond hair slightly disheveled, as if he had suddenly risen from bed.

He had sword-like eyebrows, beneath which lay a pair of narrow, dark phoenix eyes, beautiful yet sharp. His nose was high and his lips were of just the right thickness, making him look like a prince straight out of a comic book.

Xie Sen was stunned, then quickly remembered: wasn't that the person he'd hugged before passing out?

Thinking of his previous uncontrollable behavior, Xie Sen felt a little embarrassed. He raised his hand and shook it: "Hello, handsome guy, is this your house?"

Maine looked at him expressionlessly: "Were you clapping just now?"

Xie Sen shook his head: "No, I just clapped my hands."

Maine walked into the house, reached out and lifted his left wrist, letting him see the time displayed on the bracelet: "It's one o'clock in the morning, clapping for no reason?"

Maine finished speaking, reaching down to grasp Xie Sen's left palm, and with his other hand, grasping Xie Sen's right palm. He chuckled: "You like clapping, don't you? Keep going."

His voice was pleasant, but the chuckle sent a chill down Xie Sen's spine.

Maine's hand had distinct joints, and his slender fingers were particularly beautiful. Xie Sen had no time to admire them. The moment his hand was grasped, he sensed the vast difference in strength between him and Maine. Seeing their palms being pulled apart by Maine, ready to violently clash, he quickly called out.

"Handsome, don't be like that! I just woke up and am still groggy. The room was so bright, how could I have known it was night? If I had known, I wouldn't have made any noise."

He laughed, "You can't blame me. You forgot to turn off the lights!"

Maine paused, loosened his hand, and his gaze fell on the corner of his raised mouth, then shifted to his left shoulder. "You can smile? Did your contracted beast awaken?"

The moment he asked, he frowned. He wasn't one for gossip, but the smirk in front of him had inexplicably prompted him to ask.

He wasn't familiar with Xie Sen, but Xie Sen had a strong negative reputation. He knew him, and in his memory, Xie Sen always walked with his head down, a gloomy demeanor and a pale complexion. He had never seen him smile.

Xie Sen blinked. "You know me? No wonder you were so kind to let me stay."

"Everyone at Star City University knows you. The news of your suicide a few days ago made headlines at school," Maine raised an eyebrow. "You look very different from before."

Xie Sen froze. Was he still a celebrity? It was just that kind of fame, something he really didn't want!

He forced a smile. "At this critical juncture of life and death, I've figured it out. Live my own life and let the gossip go to hell!" He straightened his back. "Rumors can't hurt me anymore. I'm invincible!"

Maine's mouth twitched, and he extended his index finger to poke Xie Sen's waist. Xie Sen immediately covered his waist and burst into laughter. "Hahaha, what are you doing?"

A smile flashed in Maine's eyes. "Invincible, huh?"

Xie Sen emphasized: "In words!"

"Gurgle..." A sound made the room instantly quiet. Xie Sen looked at his stomach and coughed dryly. "I'm a little embarrassed, but can I ask if there's anything to eat?"

He hadn't eaten anything since noon, so it was normal for his stomach to protest.

Maine nodded toward the door. "Come with me. There's some meat in the fridge, but it's raw."

"No problem, I can cook!" Xie Sen said quickly.

Following Maine out of the room, Xie Sen discovered a single-story house with two bedrooms, a living room, a kitchen, and a bathroom. Less than a hundred square meters, it felt very much like a home.

He was a little surprised to see all the lights on. If it weren't for the darkness outside, he would have thought it was daytime.

Maine pulled a piece of meat from the fridge and handed it to him. He then took a sip of water and led him into the kitchen, leaning against the doorframe to watch him.

"You must restore the kitchen to its original state after you finish eating," Maine said.

Xie Sen surveyed the kitchen, nodded, and then pointed back at the stove. "How do you turn on the stove?"

Maine gave him a surprised look and stepped forward to turn on the stove. "What model do you have at home? As far as I know, it's the most common model."

Xie Sen, not knowing what model it was, chuckled dryly and began to cut the meat.

As he cut, he turned back to look at Maine. When his gaze passed the '10' above his head, his eyes gleamed slightly, which meant that the maximum amount of gratitude the other party could give him in return was 10.

This was also why he had called him back earlier.

He thought quickly, and while cutting the meat, he asked casually, "What do you like to do?"

Maine chuckled, "You hugged me before, and now you ask me this question again. Do you want to pursue me?"

"Hiss..." The knife swerved, cutting a wound on his finger. Fortunately, Xie Sen reacted quickly and the wound was not deep.

He put his hand under the faucet to rinse it with a speechless look on his face, tilted his head and rolled his eyes at Maine, "Handsome boy, you think too much."
