Yuki woke up with her body feeling unbearably heavy.
It felt as though she had been crushed beneath a massive stone. Her lower body, especially, ached so badly that even the slightest movement made her brow knit in pain.
"Ugh…"
After a moment, Yuki decided that staying still was the wiser choice. She abandoned the thought of getting up and instead lay there, motionless. Remaining still allowed her to observe her surroundings more clearly.
The ceiling above her was unfamiliar. This wasn't even the room where she had been imprisoned before. Yet no matter how foreign the room felt, the familiar scent that always clung to Ivan told her exactly where she was.
Ivan's room.
A place that, as far as Yuki knew, no one was allowed to enter freely.
Her eyes wandered slowly. For what should have been Ivan's most private space, the room felt strangely empty, so empty that it resembled a guest room more than a master bedroom.
CLACK!
