Footsteps echoed softly through the dim hallway of Ivan's estate. Igor moved quickly, his sharp eyes darting behind him to make sure no one was following him. When he reached Yuki's door, he knocked three times, then waited.
CLACK!
After a while, Yuki nervously opened the door. Her eyes were puffy from lack of sleep since Igor promised her freedom. Igor's gaze fell on Yuki's neck, which was covered with love bites left by Ivan every time he visited Yuki at night.
"Igor?"
When Yuki looked up at him, Igor immediately looked away and tried to refocus. Without answering, Igor stepped inside and closed the door behind him. From the small bag slung over his shoulder, he pulled out a black jacket and a brand-new phone, the plastic seal still clinging to its edges.
"It's time," he said while handing them to her. "In one hour, Mr. Ivanovich will leave for the harbor. Most of the guards will go with him… including me. You'll have to leave on your own. That's all the time you have."
