Chapter 1 - Falling

That fuckface god. He had called himself a god. They all did. Almost every time someone is isekai'd a "god" is the one that did it. According to him he was bored so he took my peaceful relaxed soul and threw me here. Hey! Little human, I'm bored so I'm gonna give you some powers and drop you into a new world.

Turn out the powers he gave me weren't something he had to tell me. He also literally dropped me into a new world with a new body and everything. So now I was falling from the sky with nothing but jeans and a

T-shirt on. The bastard hadn't even given me the dignity to die with socks on. And to think I'd been relaxing in some kind of heaven just a few minutes ago.

I was falling through the sky towards some city I didn't recognize. That wasn't saying much as I'd died in war with my own country which had devastated many cities. The enemy was our own government as they used their billions of exploited dollars to hire mercenaries to subdue us. The military had largely stayed at the side defending us till order was re-established.

Many things had been lost in the war but we'd found other things. One thing was a project by a single man that had developed extremely powerful batteries. Those batteries had allowed use to make our own power armor and take the fight to the government. I had died while we were assaulting a bunker holding many of the governments higher ups.

What I wouldn't do for an rocket armor right now. The city was getting closer as I fell and I could make out between my nearly covered eyes was strange. There seemed to be large floating turbine engines up here with me. Opening my arms and nearly blinding myself from the air pressure I maneuvered towards the closest one.

As I closed in I could make out some kind of handles and hooks on the floating turbine. Nearly on top of it I saw what the hooks were, tethers for people to use while working on them. I fell past barely managing to hook a finger through a tether and keep hold. I jolted as my body seemed to flip as I kept hold of the tether and threw my hand up or the rope that was extending from it.

I clung to the tether for dear life as it slowed my fall. A few seconds later I almost lost my grip as the tether suddenly stopped and I slammed to a stop with it. I pulled myself up then put the hook on a loop of my jeans. I was now hanging on a tether hundreds of feet up attached to a large floating turbine engine.

Then I noticed, the ground was getting closer. My weight was slowly pulling the turbine to the earth. It took a few hours of dangling but I finally touched the ground. I had landed near a building on the outskirts of the weird modern Japanese like city. I removed the tether and the turbine began ascending back to its original height.

Behind me were mountains and ahead an unknown city in an unknown world. I wandered the areas known as Castrocho and Mizzion till dark. I stopped in an alley to rest my still unshoed feet when I heard some kind of betting on a fight. I made my way deeper in and found a massive man sitting in a circle of watchers as he competed with another person via small remote controlled robots. I watched as the opponents bot was diced to pieces by the buzzsaw of the samurai esc bot of the big man.

I saw large sums passed around from betting and immediately set off to start making my own bot. A week later I found myself in another alley sitting across from my opponent and his bot. I had realized what this world was, Big Hero 6. With my knowledge of engineering and robotics from working with power armor I had easily used the advanced tech of this world to make my own bot.

I had designed it to be simple and durable. He was a small tank designed to look like a medieval knight. He had a small shield and a pneumatic hammer with a spike designed to pierce armor. I had easily beaten many bots with him already but now I was up against Hiro.

Yama has risen to being the one who ran the fights and I had become the street champion. I had made a lot of money and had been trying to get an identity in this world. Now I was up against Hiro, the child genius with the goofy looking bot that would probably crush mine. After a few minutes of betting being done we fought. My bit put up a much better fight then Little Yama had but it had been crushed at the waist by the squeezing pressure of the little magnet bot thing Hiro had made.

Yama decided he didn't like the fight and went after Hiro but was stopped by the cops as Hiro and his brother were escaping. Having been there I was also caught and thrown in with the others. Luckily I and Hiro's brother Tadashi, had been put in the same cell as Hiro and not scrunched into the one with the others.

The cops were scrambling to find out who I was until one had pulled out a missing persons information. They looked a lot like me and had gone missing in a large building fire that had killed most of his family. They had questioned me about it and I simply answered with amnesia. They kind of had to buy it as there was nothing pointing towards otherwise and they wanted me out of the way.

Now I was a 15 year old orphan sitting in a cell for illegal bot fighting and illegal betting. With that being the case they had no idea what to do with me, so when Hiro and Tadashi's aunt Cass came to get them the cops asked her to look after me via some kind of orphan care system. I was annoying but now I'd have a place to stay and maybe a chance to get ahold of better resources.

Both Aunt Cass and I had to do a lot of paperwork but she freely accepted me. She was definitely to nice for this harsh world. I was now 15 so when we got to their house/donut shop they turned part of Tadashi's room into a place for me to stay. I let the brothers run off to do their own thing and focused my attention on my own work. I wanted to get into the San Fransokyo Institute of Technology.

That place would give me the resources and knowledge I'd need to make my own world's advanced technology. However I'd need to show off something that could get me in there when the tech showcase happens. First I'd need to make the batteries. Second I'd need to make micro hydraulics. Third I'd make the electric servos. Finally I'd have to make the ecoskeletal armor plating and Kevlar weave jacket.

The batteries themselves were pretty easy to make when you have the right stuff so I was done in an hour with a six battery array now charging. The micro hydraulics were the hardest and I spent some time in there garage welding things together for the hydraulic systems. Well past midnight I had finally put together the hydraulics. The electric servos were complicated but with the tech the to brothers had I eventually got the servos working alongside the supporting technology.

Next was the armor, I already had a stash of titanium superalloys that I could easily shape with the advanced tech of this world.

It took a few days but I finally finished the putting together the suit. It looked like a really rough knights plate armor but once I got the supporting additions in it and the Kevlar weave jacket over the ugliness I would look a lot better.

The original power armor was heavy and clunky but over the civil war we had made advancements. Mine suit was based on the best we had at the time which was ment for long term wearability and agility. We figured that mobility in power armor was much better than toughness and made it way lighter and faster.

It looked like a really dirty unfinished mjolnir suit with a firefighter style helmet. A few days later I had gotten ahold of enough Kevlar and nomex to make the jacket and covers of the suit. After a full week of sewing and messing with the materials I finally completed the jacket and covers of the suit. After putting them on the suit I realized I had forgotten something, the mobility boosters.

The mobility boosters were a system added to the power armor to aid in combat mobility, allowing one to scale buildings and shear cliffs with grappling spikes and small jet engines to allow massive jumps, slow landings, and even blast enemies. I first made the eight engines for the jump systems. They weren't very complicated and didn't require much. I simply made more batteries to power them. I would have liked to make a full jump pack but the tech showcase was getting closer.

After the jump systems came the grappling spikes. A series of small high tension wires connected to spike hooks that could be fired via blank 12-gauge rounds. The grappling hooks were all stored in tubes on the forearm with small motors to catch and real the cable wire. It was hard to get ahold of guns and ammo in this city but all I needed was 12-gauge. I made 6 shot, three for each arm.

With the suit finished all I had to do was paperwork and wait for the tech showcase.
