Prologue: Grownups drink

(Feel free to skip this. This will not matter until the late stages of story.)

The moon shined brightly above a small village in some unknown country. As seasons gently changed, cold wind slowly flowed from northern peninsula bringing an end to another year. In the village, everyone was enjoying the year end festival with lots of wine and music.

People laughed, danced and lived under the graceful gaze of gods. It was a feast where old people drank wine till their head hurt from nausea and dizziness, young adolescent boys puffed up their chests and bravely asked for a dance with their respective beloved persons.

At first girls giggled as they blushed in response, scared of the adults opinion. Until a brave couple so mad in love stepped up, the girl proudly took the boy's hand. "Are you sure, my love?"

The boy smirked in response. "Yes. Even the vast mountains of gold and riches cannot keep me away from you."

The girl slowly nodded in response and let herself be pulled by the boy.

Under the eyes of many people the couple started their wild dance. There was no elegance. No rhythm. No coordination. Two love birds moved according to their own regard. Just like wild fire the couple moved without the care for the world. The musicians feeling the pace, began to follow as well.

"Hey. Who is that kid?" "Who is that dancing with Patricia?" The men and women who were minding their own business till now started asking questions.

Just then, another brave couple joined the dance. In the blink of an eye, almost every young man from the village was dancing with his significant others. Seeing the youngsters, some old couple also joined.

The elder raised his wooden wine glasses and raised a toast. The music suddenly stopped, the dancing stopped and the whispering voices died. "May the goddess of harvest bring us another fruitful year. May the king and queen live forever. May the emperor look after us all!" Almost everyone responded to the elder's toast.

With village elder's permission, the music began louder and people danced freely. "Isoa, is this alright? They are behaving vulgarly. This isn't what our ancestors taught us." A healthy-looking bearded man asked the old elder.

"Heh. Your grandfather and their grandfathers were warriors. They protected our village and strongly condemned the consumption of alcohol. Yet, you drink wine and went to study medicine in the city."

The bearded man frowned and took a sip from his cup. "Hah. This is different. Times are changing. Warriors are not needed anymore. Our kingdom is prospering and has yet to see a war in last 900 years. But that!" The bearded man pointed at the young couple dancing very close to eachother. "Is vulgar!"

The elder chuckled once more. "As you said, times are changing. These young folks are our future now. We should show them how to love themselves, how to develop themselves. Besides we are not those greedy nobles to care about traditions, are we?"

The bearded man was clearly not satisfied by the elder's answer.

"Now Herald, don't make such face. Our village has invested so much for your education. You are our future too."

Herald took another sip of the wine and mumbled. "Whatever you say old man."

Suddenly the entire table started shaking. Wine glasses tripped and spilled the expensive wine. "What in the emperor's grace?"

"What is this?"

Many people quickly stood up and grabbed their own plates. Herald quickly glanced under the table and saw a group of small kids running around. "You rascals!"

He quickly grabbed a brown-haired boy who was being chased by other kids. "How many times have I told you not to cause trouble for others?"

The brown haired boy looked up at Herald and flashed his tongue mockingly. "You-"

Before the Herald could do anything, the elder spoke. "Herald. He is just a kid."

Hearing the elder's tone, Herald put the kid down. "Even if he is your brother, you are too harsh on him. Look even my grandson was among them."

Slowly 6 other children crawled out and stood in a line. Among them, a fair skinned black haired boy quickly began speaking. "G-Grandfather."

The small boy felt the angry gazes of old drunkards and froze up in fear. Tears began forming in the child's eyes. Before anyone could further scold the boy, the elder smiled. "Felix. Do you understand your mistake?"

Hearing the elder's soft voice, Felix looked up at his grandfather. "Y-Yes, grandfather. We-We shouldn't play here."

The elder slowly walked closer to his grandson and kneeled in front of him. "It's not about playing. You kids shouldn't hang out where you all you could get hurt. There are sharp utensils on the table which could hurt you."

The small boy shivered in guilt. "I-I understand, grandfather."

"Felix. If something happens the responsibility will naturally fall on you. The oldest of the group. As the future Chief and elder of this village you should be prepared to bear this responsibility."

Hearld visibly blinked at the elder's words. He let go of his little brother.

Felix quickly rubbed his watery eyes and looked at the elder. "Y-Yes!"

In response, the elder chuckled and patted his grandson's head. "Good! Now run along and play somewhere else. Remember to stay off the streets!"

Felix nodded and jogged off; the other kids naturally followed him.

Now that the commotion was over, the feast continued as everyone sat down on their seats. "The next chief? Aren't you expecting too much from a 9 year old kid?" Hearld asked in sarcastic tone.

"Hmm?" The elder looked at Hearld's overly smiling face and spoke in a very low tone. "I am."

"What?"

"I am expecting too much from Felix. Because he is smart. Because he is my grandson. Because I-"

Herald noticed the break in the elder's voice.

"Because I don't have much time left." The elder looked down at his fully filled plate and continued. "I can't even chew my meat properly. Let alone lead the village. My bones ache every time I move. Yet, I can't rest because there is no one to pass the mantle of chief. The hopes of youngsters, the dreams of every household and the very future of this village lie on my shoulders."

Herald silently chewed his food as he listened to the elder's words.

"That is why I am expecting too much from Felix. My only grandson."

Finally, Herald puts the knife down and sighs loudly. "Don't worry, old fart. Felix is smart, just like his father. I am sure he will manage it somehow."

The elder's eyes lit as he listened to Herald's next words.

"Besides I am here too. You and this village did so much for my education. At the very least, I will take care of that brat."

The elder calmly nodded in response.

"Haah! Only if Chris was just as smart as Felix."

"Don't be disheartened. I am sure Chris is talented in some other field."

Felix led the kids to the village's only church. It was located on a small hilltop bit away from the festival. From here, one could see the entire village brimming in lights. The kids silently sat down and watched the festival from afar.

"Chris! I told you that it is a bad idea to hide under the table. Now everyone is mad at us." Felix pointed at Chris who was lying on the grass.

The younger sibling of Herald slowly got up and looked at Felix. "Why are you making such fuss about it? Adults always get angry no matter what we do?"

Felix frowned at Chris's words.

"B-But the elder scolded us. T-That is n-not good."

Chris quickly turned at the frail girl who spoke her thoughts out loud.

The girl immediately looked away. "I-I think."

"Shut up! You orphan!"

Felix quickly raised his voice in favor of the girl. "Chris! Sera is our friend. You cannot say bad things about her!"

As soon as Felix voiced his opinion the others quickly began supporting him. "Felix is right."

"Yeah. Chris said too much."

Frustrated, that others are speaking against him made Chris snap. "So what? It doesn't matter if the elder is mad. Afterall, I got this!" He puts his hand inside his large tailored shirt which was bought by Herald and revealed a small glass bottle.

Felix's eyes opened wide as he observed the glass bottle. Even the other kids around started to mumble in shock. "You stole a wine bottle from the table?"

"N-No. That is not a w-wine bottle. It is an a-ale. S-Specifically made alcohol. I-I saw some in the c-church. The big s-sister told me that it is a grownup d-drink." Everyone was looking at Sera as she finished speaking, this made her hold Felix's arm tightly as she tried to hide herself.

"Aha! So, this is a grownup drink? Made for adults?" Chris said in excitement. "C-Chris. I think we shou-"

Before Sera could even finish talking Chris opened the glass bottle and began drinking it. The taste was obviously bitter but the naïve attention seeking kid pretended to be tough and drank a mouthful. "Haa! Now I am an adult! See Felix? I am better than you! Now I can be the next chief."

Nobody said anything as they watched Chris throw a tantrum.

"W-What's wrong? Why is everyone silent?" His face was slowly starting to burn and turn red.

"Hey, you! Drink this!" Chris passed the bottle to a frail looking boy. The poor boy took the bottle but didn't knew what to do.

Seeing him hesitate, Chris simply grabbed the poor boy's hand and shoved it in his mouth. "Just drink a few sips and you will be fine."

After few seconds, Chris passed the bottle to another kid and slowly almost everyone was drinking alcohol.

Felix glanced at Sera who had a terrified expression. 'I need to do something!' With these thoughts, he spoke again. "Listen everyone! My grandpa said alcohol is actually bad and-"

"Why should we listen to you?" Chris quickly interrupted Felix. "You are not an adult. You are just the chief's crybaby. Using his name whenever you are in problem."

Felix clenched his fist and stared into Chris's eyes. The other kids slowly backed away from Chris's side. "I am warning you, Chris." He whispers in a low voice.

"Or what are you going to do? Cry and run to your old fart?" Chris says in a mocking tone.

Insulting him was acceptable, since Chris has lived a very spoiled life till now and his brother is a really good of acquaintance of grandpa. Felix has actively ignored Chris's rude behavior but not anymore. He swung his fist and hit Chris's face. The small boy got caught off guard only to lose his balance. "Y-You actually hit me!"

Felix glared at Chris who was lying on the ground. "This is for badmouthing my grandfather."

Agitated, Chris quickly got up on his feet. Ready to fight.

"STOP!" Both Felix and Chris startled from the noise turned to look at Sera who screamed all of a sudden. With tears and whimpers, Sera looked at Felix. "C-Can you please n-not f-fight? W-We all are f-friends h-here."

A realization hit Felix as he looked around, he saw every kid was scared or had a face full of tears. 'What have I done? I should. I should have handled it better.'

"What are you crying for!" Chris shouted at Sera. "Stop crying!" He walked towards Sera to 'make' her stop crying but he was stopped by Felix standing in his way.

"Don't do it. Brother Herald won't like this."

At the mention of his older brother, Chris froze up for a second. He knew his big brother very much, he knew his big brother's beating were not pleasant. Still with his immature ego refusing to back down, Chris looked around and noticed that no one was standing behind him, he was all alone.

"First hand me that bottle of wine and we can talk, okay?" Felix tried his best keep his tone as calm as possible.

"I hate you."

"What?"

"I said that I hate you! Just because you are grandson of the elder everyone pretends to like you!"

Felix was taken back by seeing tears in Chris's eyes. A sense guilt overtook his mind and he tried to console the crying child. "Chris. It's alright. You don't have to cry. We can just forget what happ-"

"No. We settle this tonight." The foul mouthed boy glared at Felix as he continued speaking.

Sera who was watching from the sidelines felt a cold shudder in her heart.

"We will go into the Dragon tooth castle and whomever finds the emperor's crown will be next chief."

Felix immediately rejected Chris's idea. "Don't be stupid, Chris! The castle is in ruins now and it is strictly forbidden to go anywhere near the castle. You are not going in to find some fairy crown which only exists stories and poetry."

"It exists! The crown exists my brother told me. Besides if you are that afraid to challenge me then just accept defeat."

Felix narrowed his gaze as his grandfather's words echoed in his ears once more. 'If something happens the responsibility will fall on you.' The boy who has barely reached puberty bit his lips and smiled. "Fine. Let's go."

Now that both parties have come to an agreement, they began their march to the Dragon tooth castle which is in middle of the forest not too far away from the village. Just as Felix took his first step to follow Chris, something held his sleeve. "Huh?"

He turned back only to see Sera whimpering. "P-Please. D-don't g-go. F-Father told me t-that a d-demon lives in that c-castle."

Before Felix could say anything, Chris chimes in the conversation. "Ha! What a joke. Just like that beggar Father of the church. He always tells lies. Lying to the village folks that a miracle from the gods will heal their injuries. Heh. My big brother told me about him."

Sera shivers at Chris's words and looks at him. "*HIC* T-The Fathwer d-doe-s *HIC* not l-lie."

Felix glares at Chris and pushes him aside. He looks down at Sera and pats her head. "There is no thing as a demon in our kingdom. If there is one, the legions will come and defeat them for us."

Sera still not convinced only lightly nods her head. Felix smiles at her and kneels down.

"How about this? You can go home now and tomorrow we will go to the Miss Bernet's bakery together." The little girl's mood instantly changes as she things about the soft bread. Felix waves his hand at Sera as she goes back to the church.

"You know what future chief? I think you have a bright future as a nanny." Chris insults were followed by everyone's laughter.

In the village everyone was enjoying to their fullest. Hypnotized by music and wine. The Chief was smiling as he quietly chewed on the meat, just simply watching everyone. Meanwhile Herald already left to study in his house. 'I wonder where are the kids?' This thought crossed his mind as he got up from his chair.

He waved at other people as he passed by them. After walking for few minutes, he arrived in the main square of the village which was filled with people. Naturally everyone made way for the Chief. In the center of the square multiple couples were dancing passionately. Many of them weren't even following the music, they were lost in their own world.

Among them, there was one couple who stole everyone's attention. Like they were destined together, as if it was match made in heaven. A soft looking blonde boy with a fierce black haired beauty straight out of those romance novels.

The elder's gaze softened at the couple. The boy elegantly turned and twisted the girl's body in a beautiful curve. The girl followed the boy's lead as if they were two sirens dancing in deep ocean.

Suddenly the girl broke the rhythm and walked away. Distressed, the boy quickly follows behind the girl. "Patricia? What has occurred? Did I do something?"

Ignoring the boy, the girl, Patricia walked towards her grandfather and slightly bowed. "You called Chief?"

The elder Chief chuckled in response. "You are keen as ever, Tricia. But I did not call you."

Patricia's expression was ice cold. "But you were going to summon me, right?"

"Yes, I was about to. Oh, what do we have here?"

Patricia stops bowing and turns back only to see her lover.

"Williams! I hope you are enjoying my little village!"

The boy, Williams quickly make a flustered face. "Aha! Elder it is you. No wonder Patricia went away. Ahaha."

Seeing William laugh awkwardly, Patricia sighed softly. "Then, grandpa what are you doing here?" She asked as she crossed her arms together.

"Oh no. She got angry. Don't worry, I was just here to look at my granddaughter who is about to go away. I hope I am not bothering you two."

William quickly opens his mouth. "Of course not! Besides it is you which made tonight possible."

In return, he met only Patricia's hostile gaze. "And you seen enough?"

"Patricia, he is your grandfather."

"Ho ho ho. Don't worry about it, savior of Dragoon village. My granddaughter is just sharp tongued like her mother. Besides I was here for Felix. He is here, right?"

The only response the elder got was the confused faces of Willliams and Patricia.

The word Dragon tooth comes from the castle's eerie structure. It is said that this fortress was made by the emperor's soldiers against the campaign of giants. In that brutal war, the emperor's soliders were about to perish. They held this very building as their last resort.

That's when the holy emperor himself descended on the battlefield, riding the azure dragon, his majesty's actions struck fear in the giants and the mighty dragon's breath blasted the enemies of the empire away but sadly the castle was in his majesty's way and the remaining soldiers were burned alive within these very walls. The dragon's breath was so strong and permanently changed the castle structure. The walls melted, the final screams of the soldiers echoed and mighty giants ran away in fear. This was the dragon's tooth castle and now 7 kids were about to enter this castle's only standing tower.

"Ohhh! I see it. This broken tower looks like a giant dragon's tooth." A kid exclaimed in the back as the group entered the tower.

Inside of the tower was pretty much empty with lots of dust and plantation covering the walls. Under the bright moonlight, only a small section of the hall was visible. "C-Chris. We made it here. Can we go back now? I don't like it here." A frail looking kid whispered slowly as he shivered in fear.

"Woah! Look at this!" Chris completely ignores the plea and runs into the dark corner.

Felix rolls his eyes and puts his hand around the frightened kid. "Paul, don't be scared. We all are here with you." Paul looks at Felix and smiles softly.

CLANG! CLANG! A loud metallic sound comes from dark corriorder which scares the kids. Felix quickly pushes Paul aside and stands at front. "Chris! This isn't funny! It's already getting late. We should go now!"

Silence.

Felix stared at the darkness for solid second before turning back. Just as he turned his back, a small creature with a shiny object leaped at him. This startled Felix and he lost his balance.

"RUNN!!" Paul screamed and everyone started running.

Suddenly the small creature started shaking with giggles. "Hahaha! Look at your face!" Chris pointed at the Felix who was lying on floor.

Felix stood up and moved his hands in an exaggerated manner. "Humorous! Where did you find that helmet?"

The metallic helmet on Chris's head shined brightly. "Hehe. This helmet? I found it in that huge hole over there." He pointed in the darkness. "There was a sword too. But I couldn't lift it."

Felix was looking at the knight's helmet with much curiosity.

"But seriously, everyone peed their pants when I jumped." Chris took off the helmet as he was giggling in amusement.

Unconsciously, Felix walked up to him and snatched the helmet. 'Hmm. No corrosion. Doesn't look that old.'

Chris's voice snaps Felix out of his thoughts. "Hey! Where is everyone?"

"What do you mean? They were just…. here." Felix turns back and sees no one.

In the village, the music has been put on halt. Everyone is searching for the kids. In the center plaza, the Chief is sitting while holding his head.

"Chief! The farms are empty." A man reports.

"They are not in the houses. I checked thoroughly." An old woman reveals.

That's when Patricia enters the crowd while riding a horse. She gets off with a worried expression. "They are not on the hill. Williams is still searching in the forest. Father, I am worried they migh-"

The Chief lifts his hand, silencing his daughter.

"Everyone. Search the farms once more. In the haystack or under table, they must be somewhere! THEY MUST BE SOMEWHERE! Cough! Cough! Cough!"

Seeing her grandfather in this state made Patricia's heart ache, she quickly held his old and wrinkled hands. "Oh grandfather. Don't you worry. William has vowed to find them."

The elder looked in his own granddaughter's eyes and saw absolute trust in her lover. He smiled one last time.

"CHIEF!" Just then a deep voice called out the Chief. Everyone quickly stepped aside and saw at the large bearded man. It was Herald. "Chief. Some knights wearing the royal insignia has entered the town."

Patricia looked at Herald.

"Have you found them?" Felix asks as he looks around.

"No. I checked every corner. Your side?" Chris answers as he checks insides of the tower.

"Well, there is no one at the entrance. Do you think they went home?"

"No chance." Chris sees Felix walking towards him.

"They can't go up as the stairs are broken. The ground floor is clear." Felix is glancing at the dark corriorder infront of him. "I think we should go back and tell the adults about this."

"I think they are trying to scare us."

Felix fixes his gaze at Chris. "What?"

"I mean, where could so many kids randomly go? Maybe they were eaten by demon?" Chris spoke last words in a sarcastic tone.

Felix raises his eyebrow in annoyance. "Do you think this some kind of joke? They could be ambushed by a wild beast too."

Chris chuckles. "Beast yeah. This close to the village. No wonder the Chief makes you study for hours."

Felix glares at Chris.

"Because he knows that his coward grandson cannot do anything."

"I am not scared!" Felix almost yells.

Chris smiles at his words. "Is that so? Then come. We go deeper to find our friends." He slowly walks into the dark corriorder and disappears.

Felix follows his footsteps and stands in front of the dark corriorder.

Suddenly Chris calls out to him. "What's wrong? Need a hand?" He extends his hand out. Felix looks at his hand and with much hesitation, he takes it.

Unlike Chris, Felix cannot see much in the darkness. He tightly holds Chris's hand and walks behind him. After few steps, Chris stops. "At the count of 3, we jump in the hole."

"Wait? The hole?" "1! 2! 3!"

Chris jumps into the hole, dragging Felix with him.

THUD!

They land on solid ground. Unconsciously, Felix releases his hand to balance himself. Seeing this, Chris giggles loudly. "Haha! Are you frightened from this much?"

Annoyed, Felix tries catch Chris. "Hey! Come here!"

"Hehehe! Try to catch me." Chris quickly dashes forward only to leave Felix alone in the darkness.

"Chris?"

"Chris! Come here, I can't see."

Silence.

"Chris!" Felix yells on top of his lungs yet no one responds. He tightly closes his hands and begins to walk forward. 'Chris that bastard. When I get out, I will complain to big brother Herald.'

Somehow, he managed to cling to a wall and moved forward in the cold cave. Few dozen steps later, when he felt like he was almost lost, Felix saw it. A ray of hope. He quickly dashed towards the moonlight which could be his only way out. 'M-Magnificent!'

Felix witnessed the true beauty of natural as moonlight escaped through small gaps of trees and reached the rainwater below in the cave. The small pond filled with rainwater slightly glowed as blue moonlight refracted. That's when his eyes fell on Chris who was watching the scene not too far from him. "Chris!"

"Why did you leave me in the cave? I am going to complain about this to big brother…"

Meanwhile, Chris's eyes were fixed on the pond.

"Hey! I am talking to you-"

Chris finally decides to speak. "That. That is Paul, right?"

"What? Where?" Felix tries to follow Chris's gaze but couldn't see anything.

"There. Beyond the pond."

"Is he there? I can't see."

"He is there. But he is on his knees…" Chris whispers.

"Knees? Jake must be hurt then! Come on!" Felix jumps into the pond to cross it.

"Wait! I don't like… water."

The pond itself was shallow, Felix easily crossed it.

On the other side, he saw Paul's silhouette in the darkness. "Paul!" The silhouette shivered but did not turn.

"Paul?" Felix slowly approached it.

He touched Paul's shoulder. 'Cold!'

Paul fell on the ground like a sack of potatoes, making Felix scream. "AHHHH!"

Both of Jake's eyes were gouged out, his clothes covered in blood and some kind of dark goo is dripping from his nostrils.

"FELIX!" Chris yells on top of his lungs.

A pair of eyes appears out of thin air.

"RUN!!!"

Felix somehow stands up and starts panic running towards the lake. On the other side, Chris jumps into the pond to help Felix.

"Grrr! GRAHH!" With a thundering roar, a large feline ambushes Felix. The claws of the oversized feline dig deep in Felix's legs.

"Ahhha! Ha! Ah!" The poor boy felt immense pain before frantically trying break free. The large predator easily pulls its prey. Felix screams loudly before closing his eyes in fear.

TING!

"GRAHHH!" Felix opens his eyes to see the large feline roaring and dashing away in darkness. Before he could even proper register the situation, he was forced to stand up."What are you doing? Come on! Run!" Felix looks to his side and sees Chris's face.

A painful sensation hits his right leg as he tries to move it. "How? How can I run?"

Chris glances at Felix's missing leg and grits his teeth. "It's a black manned Jagger known to stalk It's prey and ambush them. They are believed to be nocturne meaning it can't follow us in the light." He grabs Felix hand and wraps it around his shoulder. "If we can just make it to the pond.... just hang tight."

Without waiting for response, Chris begins jogging forward while somehow dragging Felix's body with him. "GRRR!" A small but piercing growl electrified every hair on Chris's body.

"Don't look back!" He barked loudly. "Just a bit more!"

RUSTLE! RUSTLE! The ground shook as the feline launched itself. The pond was within a hand's distance, but Chris knew that they couldn't make it in time.

"Huh?" Felix blinked and the next second he was in the air.

THUD! THUD!

Felix's blood painted the azure pond. He jolted up and saw the feline digging it's teeth through Chris's ribcage. "Why? Why did you..."

Tears ran down his cheeks as he watched Chris being eaten alive. Wind slowly shook the leaves and the large tree blocking the moonlight stepped aside. Felix finally saw the enormous predator, covered in black mane and dark yellow fur.

In that split second, he saw Chris's face. It had a wide smile as he mumbled. 'Go future chief. The village needs you.'

"GRR." Felix silently watched as the feral cat devoured Chris's corpse.

The poor kid bites his own lips till it started to bleed, trails of tears falling down his eyes and the azure water below his feet was now crimson red because of his own wounded leg. Yet, Felix does not make a single sound. With the guilt of his friend's death, he gently sways his foot in the water, careful to not cause any ripples. 'I-I need to tell grandpa! Yes, Herald big brother might do something!'

Felix carefully steps out of the water and tries to make his way out. He had to climb a small ridge before leaving this cave. On the final step, his injured leg slipped and rolled over a dozen rocks and dirt. 'Shit.'

Felix cursed in his mind before looking at the beast and the beast was looking directly at him, ears shot up. It turned his neck in an inhumane way, like a curious toddler the predator stared in Felix's direction.

"Why is it not attacking?" He mumbled then quickly looked up. A giant cloud was about to block the moonlight and cover the entire cave into darkness.

Connecting the dots, Felix quickly pulled himself up and wildly ran ahead. 'I got time. Aha! The emperor must be looking after me. If I just make it out of here, before the cloud covers-' He ran in pitch black cave, he turned according to his memory. The pain in his leg is becoming more and more unbearable. '-If I hold on for a moment. A moment.'

THUD!

"Ugh!" Felix runs into a wall. "This wall… It shouldn't be here." He runs back the way he came or so he thought.

"Another wall? If I remember-"

Just then a loud roar echoes around him. Scared, Felix starts to bang his head onto the wall as he loses his sanity. 'Why? Why? What have I done wrong? I was a good child and listened to my grandpa, even the adults praised me! Then why did it end up like this?'

A soft growling sound slowly drew closer. Felix bangs his head so hard that it exposes his skull. He turns to the black monster and kneels to it. Tears flowing down his wide smile. "I too, wanted to drink the grownup drink."

The creature slowly opens his jaws like a serpent with drool dropping on the ground, it opened wider and wider like a blooming flower, with a sickening crack the monster's mouth opened like an inside out umbrella, it showed its grotesque black flesh and razor sharp teeth and it growled.

Felix's body forgot to breath a long time ago, his mind was blank and skin cold. He was just waiting to be devoured.

Suddenly a loud explosion occurred and the floor below them crack open. The wailing scream of the beast echoed as the earth ate them whole.
