Arrogant, proud, and supremely intelligent, the Ōtsutsuki Isshiki had been brought to the brink of death by the seemingly unremarkable Ōtsutsuki Kaguya. For a thousand years, he had clung to life, parasitizing the body of a monk named Jigen, barely surviving.
To recover his power and tend to his grievous wounds, Isshiki spent most of his time in a deep slumber.
But Jigen and Isshiki existed in a deep, symbiotic union. Jigen could even utilize a fraction of Isshiki's abilities to a certain degree. As a result, his own senses were still quite sharp.
So, when the power of Yomotsu Hirasaka focused on him, he suddenly felt as if a long, thin steel needle had been violently thrust into his brain.
"Hiss…"
Jigen swayed, momentarily dazed. The sharp pain made him instinctively clamp a hand to his head. At the same moment, he whirled around, instantly dropping into a combat stance, trying to locate the enemy who had ambushed him.
But of course, there was no one behind him. The white-robed man he'd just passed was still walking forward at his own pace, already far away, nearly out of sight.
Jigen scanned the area. Where was the enemy?
The stabbing sensation had come and gone so quickly that Jigen began to wonder if it had just been a hallucination… Perhaps he shouldn't be looking for an enemy, but for a doctor?
He knew he wasn't like other people. Ever since that damned "parasitization," his body occasionally acted up.
Think about it. Sustained by Isshiki's parasitic existence, this Jigen had also lived from a thousand years ago to the present day. All his parts were ancient, long past their expiration date. It wouldn't be strange if any organ, including his brain, suddenly gave out.
Jigen felt a sliver of suspicion toward Yūshin, but it wasn't deep. His main point of suspicion was just Yūshin's "weird clothes," which wasn't enough to raise real alarm… So what if the guy dressed fashionably? It didn't hurt anyone.
After staring at the spot where Yūshin had disappeared for a moment longer, Jigen shook his head and left.
On the other side, Yūshin continued sightseeing around the temple as if nothing had happened… No need to observe the monks anymore. His target was already found.
"Ōtsutsuki Isshiki really has it rough, huh? Even that didn't wake him? That's on you… You let me case your joint so easily. Don't blame anyone if you get robbed later."
Isshiki truly was in a pitiful state. The brilliant tactician had been cut in half by Kaguya a millennium ago. To be precise, what resided in Jigen wasn't Isshiki, but Isshiki 0.5.
Fuck around and find out.
Well, you could only say…
Ōtsutsuki Momoshiki seemed defiant. He wanted to give it a try.
As everyone knew, one of the Ōtsutsuki's key functions was to serve as fertilizer—Gold Krila—for the Divine Tree.
the Ten-Tails' body? Setting aside the question of whose suction power was greater, swapping your own chakra for the Ten-Tails' chakra inside its stomach… wasn't that just asking to be digested faster?insideAbsorbing the Ten-Tails' chakra like crazy
Yūshin offered a friendly reminder.
"You're not thinking of utilizing the chakra here, are you? I strongly advise against it."
By now, a sealed containment space had formed inside the Ten-Tails. It wasn't that the Super Gravity Dimension wasn't working; the Ten-Tails was silently bearing the brunt of it.
"Although I don't know how you transferred me to this sealed space, if you think this is a hunting ground for me, you've miscalculated."
With no other choice, Momoshiki took flight again.
Yūshin's smile widened. Did he think the Myōjinmon was specifically designed to suppress tailed beasts for no reason?
What the hell kind of place was this? Why was everything sucking?
also absorbed his chakra.itMomoshiki certainly didn't want to guess. He mimicked Yūshin, standing on one of the Myōjinmon torii gates, only to find
Yūshin responded with a smile. "Guess?"
As he spoke, Momoshiki was busy. He poured some kind of crimson pill into his mouth while trying to summon his servant, Kinshiki… Yet, due to certain rules, summoning Kinshiki here was impossible.
"Who are you? What is this place? Why attack me?"
Then, he used his Byakugan to scan the surroundings, only to find the space saturated with dense chakra. His Byakugan couldn't penetrate it.
After tearing himself free from the wall, Momoshiki, not daring to touch the ground, temporarily levitated in mid-air.
(Of course, summoning techniques didn't count.)
Ōtsutsuki Momoshiki's combat prowess was decent, the most impressive in actual combat among the trio. But he had one sole weakness… the guy didn't know space-time ninjutsu.
Because he felt his chakra rapidly draining away from every point of contact with that "wall."
Ōtsutsuki Momoshiki spat blood, embedded in the "wall." But he had no time to tend to his injuries. He struggled desperately to free himself from the wall behind him.
But it didn't matter. Not only could both individuals here absorb others' chakra, even this battlefield itself absorbed chakra.
Yūshin offered a compliment, because part of his chakra had been absorbed by the other party, not fully converted into striking force.
"You're pretty quick."
But Yūshin frowned, shaking his hand. Although Momoshiki looked miserable, Yūshin felt only half of his attack had landed.
With a violent tremor, Momoshiki's body was practically embedded into the fleshy wall of the Ten-Tails' interior.
Poor Ōtsutsuki Momoshiki. The moment he landed, he was launched.
In the blink of an eye, a figure clad in white robes, a semi-transparent white veil atop his head, appeared before Yūshin. And Yūshin immediately slapped out with his palm.
He began the summoning.
, and then…GachiYūshin repeated his old trick. His right hand gathered power for
The target was easy to identify. After the lights of Urashiki and Kinshiki had gone out, the only remaining "starlight" belonging to a celestial visitor was Momoshiki's.
With the stage set, Yūshin opened his Mangekyō Sharingan and began observing the "starlight" on the timeline.
Once inside, Yūshin used the Myōjinmon to prop open sufficient space, then removed the supports at the "entrance." Thus, the Ten-Tails' interior became a sealed space once more.
. What did Yūshin have to fear? Even if the Ten-Tails really started digesting him, he could use Yomotsu Hirasaka to instantly escape its innards.HehYūshin, skilled and bold, simply strode along the Ten-Tails' digestive tract, walking right into its body…
Then, these torii gates extended forward, forcing open a path leading into the Ten-Tails' "stomach."
The mottled red torii gates of the Myōjinmon pried open the juvenile Ten-Tails' jaws.
THUD!
As everyone knew, planting a Divine Tree was simple. But for the tree to bloom and bear fruit required time.
"Whatever. Time's limited. I'll just summon a soft target."
"Isshiki? Isshiki seems a bit difficult."
"Hiss, a bit tricky. A seed needs fertilizer to sprout… needs Gold Krila…"
Yūshin landed back on the ground and walked straight up to the Ten-Tails' mouth.
That should do it. Fittingly, the juvenile Ten-Tails was nearly trussed up like a zongzi.
Sage Art: Myōjinmon
After the explosion, dark red chakra chains bound the juvenile Ten-Tails tightly. At the same time, Yūshin, fearing it wasn't secure enough, performed another summoning:
The juvenile Ten-Tails' chakra volume was only at the level of a normal tailed beast. That level of combat power couldn't possibly defeat Yūshin.
Another deafening crash. The Ten-Tails took its own Tailed Beast Bomb point-blank.
BOOM!
The Tailed Beast Bomb vanished into it, then shot out from another exit—an exit positioned right in front of the juvenile Ten-Tails.
Unhurried, Yūshin waved a hand before him. A spatial rift appeared.
The next moment, the Tailed Beast Bomb broke free from the gravity's hold, shooting toward Yūshin like a cannonball.
The Ten-Tails from a thousand years ago didn't attack Yūshin on sight. But this Ten-Tails brat was pushing its luck.
."itYūshin shook his head sadly. "Ah, you're ultimately not
Then, it opened its maw and began gathering a Tailed Beast Bomb.
The Ten-Tails lay prone, but the Rinne-Sharingan atop its head instantly fixed on Yūshin, floating mid-air.
This Ten-Tails was just a juvenile, a "seed" of the Divine Tree. With its chakra volume, its mobility here was roughly equivalent to a caterpillar's.
The gravity in this Super Gravity Dimension wasn't constant. More accurately, the more chakra a target possessed, the heavier they became here.
Although reactivated, the Ten-Tails could only writhe on the ground, utterly incapable of displaying its majestic, destructive power.
"Shut up, shut up, what's all the yelling for? Isshiki was never going to plant you into a Divine Tree. Only I can do that. So switching to my side is a promotion with a raise. What's there to complain about?"
After changing locations, the Ten-Tails indeed broke free from its previous frozen state. It immediately began to roar.
With a thunderous crash, the Ten-Tails slammed heavily onto the ground of the Super Gravity Dimension.
BOOM!
Finished here, Yūshin left without a shred of nostalgia, following the loot into the Super Gravity Dimension.
The motion was identical to a dog thief snatching a village mutt.
After scooping up all the high-value items, he finally expanded the spatial tunnel entrance to its limit and shoved the Ten-Tails inside.
Even if there were ninja tools or artifacts Yūshin didn't know how to use, he wasn't after their function. It was enough that they contained "energy"… Yūshin just wanted to use this stuff as fertilizer. As Gold Krila.
Then, he began the big move. Anything in this space that gave off a chakra reaction, he shoveled wholesale into the spatial tunnel.
He opened another Yomotsu Hirasaka portal, setting the other end in Kaguya's Super Gravity Dimension.
the little gold watch.andYūshin thought for a moment and decided to take the Ten-Tails last… Following the principle of "since I'm already here," Yūshin would take the big gold chain
No need to think. The thing would immediately start splashing around uselessly.
"The Ten-Tails can't move in this space. But what if I take it out?"
The dimension was vast. But something as huge as a Ten-Tails couldn't be hidden. After looking around, Yūshin found the massive creature, frozen like a giant fish.
Yet, empowered by Yomotsu Hirasaka, Yūshin gained privileges here nearly equivalent to the space's owner… Once you're inside the house, if no one's home, of course you can enjoy the owner's privileges. As long as you're not afraid of getting caught.
Isshiki's dimension was somewhat special. It seemed to be a space of absolute stillness, where time did not flow.
So, using a personal dimension as a storage ring was ill-advised. If for no other reason, because it carried the risk of theft.
Then, Yūshin stepped into the spatial tunnel. The exit on the other side opened directly into Ōtsutsuki Isshiki's dimension.
Before commencing his "collection" operation, Yūshin offered a truly heartfelt apology to Ōtsutsuki Urashiki. By gifting him Yomotsu Hirasaka, Urashiki was truly a great guy.
"Ah, I really misjudged you, Ōtsutsuki Urashiki. Saying you were less interesting than Particle Style was 100% my mistake… How could you be useless? You're practically my bosom buddy."
The Rinnegan manifested. A dark spatial rift opened silently, hidden by the night.
That night, Yūshin sat cross-legged in a meditation room, resting with his eyes closed. Only late into the night, after all the temple's lights had been extinguished, did he slowly open his eyes.
. If I want to rob your house, I just need your address. When I rob it and how? That's none of your business.AhemWhen Yūshin located that dimension, he naturally needed Yomotsu Hirasaka to establish a direct line of sight to the target. But after planting the coordinate marker, that direct sight was no longer necessary…
But a Kekkei Mōra was the pinnacle of chakra manipulation—an overwhelmingly domineering force. Yomotsu Hirasaka was called the ultimate space-time ninjutsu. The term "ultimate" had to manifest in some way.
A dimension sprouted and created by unique ocular power was originally a world belonging solely to its owner. The only key to enter was that specific ocular power itself. So, as long as the owner's eyes hadn't been plucked out, that dimension was theoretically his absolute, secure vault.
At the very least, wait until nightfall.
After leaving the spatial marker, Yūshin wasn't in a hurry to act. "Breaking and entering" was a serious crime. Who would do it in broad daylight?
To sum it up, the stuff Yūshin wanted to pick up was just… a bit large. That Ten-Tails was ownerless. Finders keepers.
Yūshin had no immediate plans to deal with Isshiki. If the guy was recuperating, Yūshin wouldn't disturb him… He'd sought out Jigen, sought out Isshiki, just to pick up a few things.
Seeing it with his own eyes proved Yūshin's recent efforts hadn't been in vain. You reap what you sow. Yūshin had been working hard, conducting a thorough sweep of the Shinobi World. Now, it was harvest time.
The Ōtsutsuki wandered the universe to plant trees. As the leader of the duo, what was the problem with Isshiki carrying an extra "sapling"?
In Yūshin's recollection, the crippled Isshiki seemed to keep another Ten-Tails in his dimension. And when Yūshin glimpsed that space earlier, he'd confirmed it.
Yomotsu Hirasaka lived up to its name as a Kekkei Mōra. Using its power, Yūshin had pierced through to Ōtsutsuki Isshiki's unique dimension and left a marker there… an effect similar to a Flying Thunder God marker.
