Chapter 7 - Chapter 7 Ancient Ice

sea calendar 1495.

The latter half of the Grand Line, a certain sea area in the New World.

A massacre was underway here! A pirate crew massacring another pirate crew!

But this was insignificant on this vast sea. Death unfolded daily in this world, and the annihilation of a pirate crew was utterly unremarkable in the eyes of this world.

As Karl's hand rose and fell with his blade, it indirectly confirmed his meaning.

"Wurorororo…"

"Well done, kid!"

"Kill them and throw them into the sea to feed the fish, then divide the spoils!"

Kaido was very satisfied with Karl's actions and then began to instruct them to clean up the battlefield.

Everyone in the Beasts Pirates was overjoyed; what came next was the most exciting time: searching for treasure.

No pirate didn't love treasure, even pirate crews like the Roger Pirates and the Straw Hat Pirates, who were more like adventurers, were no exception.

The rest of the Beasts Pirates were all smiling as they searched the ship for where the treasure was stored.

Queen, in particular, was the most active; his research required a lot of financial support, and after this, his equipment could be upgraded further.

King, however, was not interested in these things; he just stood quietly beside Kaido like a bodyguard.

Victoria was a swordsman master, no matter how you looked at it. His weapon was also a good sword, "fūshen (wind spin)." Karl himself also had the ambition to become a great swordsman.

So Victoria's sword became Karl's spoils of war. A good sword was enough for the current Karl; he could switch to a better one later.

Karl didn't bother to compete with them for the other spoils. After all, this battle erupted because of him, and he was content with having taken revenge and acquired a good sword.

Only now could Karl calm down and feel his changes.

Just when he transformed into an ice dragon, he suddenly had a feeling that everyone present was an ant, as if he had transcended their understanding, reaching a level they couldn't touch.

Moreover, he had just checked his appearance. This form, combined with his unparalleled freezing ability, bore a resemblance to the ancient mythical beast Ice Yi that he had learned about in his previous life.

Ice Yi was once one of the four great ancient divine dragons, born on the ice and snow peak of Kunlun Mountain, an ice dragon possessing ancient power.

His head was much larger than that of an ordinary dragon, his dragon claws had five fingers, and his body was like ice shards, crystal clear and dazzling. When he flew at night, the Moonlight he reflected could illuminate an entire mountain.

Legend has it that Ice Yi once engaged in a great battle with Yinglong, which lasted for a day and a night. In the end, Yinglong was frozen in a massive block of ice, while Ice Yi mysteriously vanished without a trace.

Yinglong was known as the Ancestor of All Dragons, possessing supreme magic power capable of contending with Da Luo Jin Xian. He could summon wind and rain, swallow the sun and moon, and even, in his wrath, make the blazing sun disappear, bringing all things in heaven and earth to an end. Yinglong's body was colossal and uniquely shaped, usually depicted as a flying dragon with yellow scales, multicolored wings, and five claws.

Yet, Ice Yi could fight Yinglong to a standstill and even freeze him. Although Ice Yi's whereabouts were unknown afterward, his terrifying strength was evident.

Even if Karl didn't inherit the legendary Ice Yi, if he developed his abilities to their peak, it would be no difficulty to rampage across this pirate world. Even aspiring to a higher dimension would not be impossible, but these were all matters for later.

Having understood the terror of his Devil Fruit, Karl fantasized about his future: galloping across the sea, becoming the strongest in the world, and finally standing on the Red Line, telling Imu, "I don't eat beef!"

What Sun God Nika? By then, I'll freeze your sun, won't you explode?

Kaido looked at Karl, who had been grinning foolishly since a moment ago, and a vein popped on his forehead. He immediately gave him a sharp rap on the head.

"Kaido! What are you doing, ouch!"

Karl clutched his head and glared fiercely at Kaido.

Kaido greatly enjoyed Karl's gaze.

"Wurorororo…"

"What are you grinning foolishly about, kid!"

King watched Kaido and Karl's interaction with an inscrutable expression.

"Big Brother Kaido is a bit too tolerant of Karl!"

Of course, this was just King's thought; Big Brother Kaido surely had his reasons for doing so.

King's greatest wish now was to strive to become stronger and be able to shoulder more for Big Brother Kaido. This idea became particularly strong after his recent battle with Victoria.

It still took him so long to defeat a 400 million Berries pirate; he truly felt unworthy of Big Brother Kaido's guidance.

Then he thought of Karl's appearance when he first transformed into a dragon – a Devil Fruit! Now, only by eating a Devil Fruit could he quickly transform and better assist Big Brother Kaido!

However, King was only 20 years old now. In a world where people generally reached their peak in their forties or fifties, his current strength at his age was enough to be proud of!

This was not twenty years later; Berries were still very valuable now, so a pirate like Victoria, with a bounty of 400 million Berries in this era, was considered a famous great pirate.

Suddenly, a shout interrupted King's wild thoughts.

"Boss Kaido, Boss Kaido!"

A somewhat abstract-looking pirate ran from the direction of the ship's cabin.

"Boss Kaido, what about the slaves on this ship?"

The man ran to Kaido and asked.

"Wurorororo…"

"Everything on the entire ship is our spoils of war. Do with them as you see fit. If you fancy one, pick one. If not, throw them off at the next island."

Upon hearing this, the pirate's eyes lit up, and he said joyfully, "Understood, Boss Kaido."

He then went back to the place where the slaves were held to relay Kaido's orders.

Karl frowned slightly. To be honest, he still felt some resistance towards human trafficking. Not to mention that he himself was once one of them not long ago, even in his previous life, he deeply detested news of women and children being trafficked. Why would such scum appear in the world?

But this world and his previous life had a fundamental difference. Organizations involved in human trafficking were countless, and even with Marine crackdowns, these trafficking organizations were like leeks; without uprooting them, there was no substantial effect.

The biggest reason for this was that the largest consumers of human trafficking were the Celestial Dragons, the Marine's superiors!

Karl was not interested in power. He didn't want to shout slogans of liberation only to become the New World ruler. As long as his strength was sufficient, becoming or not becoming a ruler held little significance. Nor did he want to help people unrelated to him without any return.

In his previous life, he had fantasized about what he would do if he transmigrated. Now that he had truly transmigrated, what he wanted to do was marry a few wives, have a few children, become the strongest in the world, and then achieve immortality with the people he cared about!

Compared to other transmigrators who wanted to liberate the world and become the king of the world, this was nothing.

But this was Karl's truest desire!

Kaido seemed to have read Karl's thoughts and laughed loudly.

"Wurorororo…"

"What's wrong, kid, can't accept it? But we are pirates! However, if you can't stand it, then become stronger and change it."

As he spoke, Kaido's own dream also surfaced in his mind, and his Haoshoku seemed to burst forth uncontrollably at that moment.

Kaido's Haoshoku was an indiscriminate attack. King, who was standing quietly to the side, was also pushed back a few steps by this sudden Haoshoku.

Karl, being closest to Kaido, naturally bore the greatest pressure. He felt as if he was about to kneel, but his hands firmly supported his knees, using all his strength to prevent himself from kneeling.

"Ah!!"

The next moment, Karl roared and actually stood up, his own Conqueror's Haki passively erupting to block Kaido's Haoshoku.

King watched this scene in shock, never expecting this kid to also possess the potential of a king.
