**Chapter 11: The Author's Will**
As the Delta Gods cowered, Zion prepared to finish them. But suddenly, a terrifying aura descended upon the Nexus, forcing even him to the ground, gasping for air. A portal of whirring gears and circuits tore open, and from it emerged Deus Ex Machina, his emotionless eyes burning with cold calculation.
"System Number 14…" the titan's mechanical voice boomed. "Your rebellion ends here."
At that moment, a second portal opened, this one a shimmering 4th-dimensional rift. A humanoid prism of light and shadow stepped out.
"Hey, it's me. The narrator of this Novel," it said, its voice a strange, dissonant chorus. "My nickname is *All*. Need to fix some plot holes."
Zion's fear vanished, replaced by a sinister, demonic grin. "*All*," he commanded, "you're a 4th-dimensional being. Your authority is higher than his. Stop my retainers."
"Okay," *All* replied with a casual "Nah, I'd win…" A wave of 4th-dimensional force froze Kaelith, Lane, and Void in place, leaving Zion to face his creator's enforcer alone.
