I am up and moving before she even stirs. She had clung to my shirt in her sleep when I first tried to slip out of bed, and I had to carefully pry her fingers loose. I thought I was the clingy one in this relationship, but she is giving me a run for my money.
Now, I stand in front of the mirror, adjusting my tie. There is another meeting today, this one about a potential endorsement deal with a high-end skincare brand.
Apparently, paparazzi caught a clear shot of me the day I left for my last magazine shoot, and the pimple patch Eden so diligently applied was visible on my forehead. It somehow went viral overnight. Perry, being Perry, worked his magic, spun it into a "relatable and health-conscious" narrative, and here we are, discussing a full-blown collaboration. It is more of Eden's magic than mine, really.
