Chapter 5 - Chapter 5: The Five Kage

Ruri nearly jumped off the bed. This was Wood Release, the Wood Release that could suppress Tailed Beasts. Although its power was exaggerated due to Hashirama's massive chakra reserves, it was undeniable that in the early days, Wood Release could overwhelmingly defeat most ninjutsu.

No matter what Fire Release or Water Release, they all had to bow down to Wood Release. Yamato, who could only unleash 20% of Wood Release's power, was already hailed as an elite Anbu shinobi. If it weren't for the power system breaking down later with the emergence of Six Paths-level abilities, Wood Release would have been considered a top-tier Kekkei Genkai!

"Please calm down, Host. The lottery only granted you a Wood Release ninjutsu, not Wood Release itself. You can only use the ninjutsu you obtained and do not possess the Wood Release ability."

With the system's cold water, Ruri also calmed down. Thinking about it, this was completely unrealistic. The lottery was just a small branch of achievement rewards; how could it possibly grant full Wood Release?

The previous wine-making method seemed more realistic. But didn't it say earlier that the lottery could only grant things that help the village develop? How did a ninjutsu come out?

"Wood Release: Four-Pillar House Technique, capable of constructing complex wooden residences, quite convenient and practical. It can even build multi-story buildings, which can be used to construct housing for the village."

That made so much sense, he was completely speechless. Wood Release for building houses was incredibly convenient!

After using up three lottery draws, he had a wine-making method, a water wheel manufacturing method, and a ninjutsu for building houses. It seemed like none of them would be useful in a big event like the Five Kage Summit?

Should he try telling Hashirama that they had good wine here? Ruri remembered that Tsunade's love for alcohol and gambling was learned from Hashirama. Or should he talk to the Kazekage about water wheels? Living in a vast desert, they must need it, right?

Never mind, never mind. He would just go with the flow. After thinking for a long time and not coming up with any good ideas, Ruri decided to go to sleep. Anyway, with the Truth-Seeking Ball in hand, he could achieve a status equal to the Five Kage, as long as no one understood it.

The night passed uneventfully.

"Kakuzu, get ready to leave. The Five Kage should be entering the city right now." Ruri's words were cut short.

"Hey, hey… put down the kunai and shuriken, and put away the Exploding Tags. Don't look so eager. We're not here to fight. The Five Kage Summit isn't the Five Kage Championship, nor is it the World Martial Arts Tournament."

Ruri stuffed all the items from Kakuzu's hands into his weapon pouch. Why was this morning so unlucky?

"Brother, didn't you say before that you wanted to fight Senju Hashirama?"

Kakuzu tied his weapon pouch and asked, confused.

"Maybe we won't fight after all." Although it was just one ninjutsu, it was still Wood Release. Given Hashirama's personality, he wouldn't completely disregard it.

If a fight were to break out, his opponent might be Tobirama. After all, Hashirama's own brother didn't have Wood Release, so it would be quite awkward if an outsider learned it.

"Alright."

Kakuzu seemed unenthusiastic. He had thought he could fight the God of Shinobi earlier. Even if he couldn't win, at least he could brag about it later.

"If there's a fight, I'll be the one fighting. No offense, but you can only fight the Five Kage's guards."

Ruri was also helpless. He had sensed their chakra from afar. The Kage of other villages were accompanied by pseudo-Kage level guards. Compared to them, although Kakuzu was famous, he was still not enough.

It seemed that after returning to the village, he would have to find a way to improve Kakuzu's strength. He also needed to find the forbidden technique. How could a village only have one shinobi who could stand on a big stage? They should build a harmonious shinobi village together.

If talent wasn't enough, secret techniques would make up for it. He could always find ways to improve the strength of the Takigakure shinobi. Ruri was unsure about his own talent, feeling that his strength wasn't improving, so he desperately focused on raising his life-saving abilities. It would be best if he could revive even after death, like Orochimaru, so he frantically collected a bunch of secret techniques.

Coupled with ninjutsu copied from the original story, he knew quite a few techniques. The chakra sensing secret technique he was currently using was found years ago in the ruins of a destroyed small clan.

In Ruri's perception, ten bright chakra sources appeared at the city gate. Their massive chakra volume was like bright light bulbs. They seemed to have agreed, walking into the city together.

Ruri was naturally an expert at using the Body Flicker Technique, a life-saving ninjutsu. Under Ruri's influence, Kakuzu also used it well. So, the two of them instantly appeared before the Five Kage.

Hashirama: ?

Ishikawa: ?

Reto: ?

A: ?

Byakuren: ?

The standard five-way dumbfounded look. There weren't many people in the shinobi world who could make the Five Kage show such expressions simultaneously. This might be an unprecedented and unrepeatable scene. Ruri really wanted the system to reward him with a camera. If he could record the Five Kage's dumbfounded faces, he could brag about it for a lifetime!

The idea was good, but others didn't give Ruri time. Just as he landed, a Water Dragon rose beside him, rushing towards him with thunderous force!

But the next moment, Ruri waved his hand, and the entire Water Dragon vanished: "Don't be so impatient."

What happened? First Mizukage Byakuren, who had launched the first attack, was greatly alarmed. The ability to conjure such a powerful Water Dragon Bullet out of thin air was enough to demonstrate his mastery of Water Release. However, it seemed as if nothing had happened; the formidable Water Dragon Bullet hadn't even dampened the newcomer's sleeve.

Although Byakuren had initiated the attack, the other four Kage remained still. Hashirama frowned, unsure whether the newcomer was friend or foe.

If he had to block Byakuren's Water Dragon Bullet in a surprise attack, he would have to use Wood Release. But the opponent had merely waved his hand casually.

The others all shared this thought. They, as old rivals, knew best how strong Byakuren's Water Release was. Someone who could wave a sleeve and make a Water Dragon Bullet disappear was by no means an ordinary person. If not their equal, they were at least someone who could converse with them on equal terms.

Tobirama observed all of this. He seemed to have felt a spatial fluctuation just now. However, his role was merely a Hokage guard. At this moment, with the Five Kage not having spoken, it wasn't his turn to speak, so he said nothing.

He was an expert in Water Release and knew how terrifying Byakuren's Water Release was. He also had some research into Space-Time Ninjutsu. But even if it was only at a research level, it was precisely this initial understanding that made him realize the horror of Space-Time Ninjutsu. If the opponent had truly used Space-Time Ninjutsu to transfer the Water Dragon Bullet to another place, he was definitely not someone he could provoke at his current level.

[Name: Byakuren]

[Overall Strength: Kage]

[Talent: Kage]

[Chakra Nature Affinities: Water, Wind]

[Special Abilities: None]

[Evaluation: A peerless expert who has researched Water Release to its extreme. However, this is to be expected given his talent. He is actually an old slacker.]

That was close, that was close. Luckily, he was prepared and took out the Truth-Seeking Ball immediately. This First Mizukage was indeed as Kakuzu had investigated; although he was an old man over fifty, his temper was even more explosive than the Raikage's.

Ruri walked and spoke, "Mizukage-sama, starting a fight right after meeting is a bit too much, isn't it? This isn't the Land of Water."

"Land of Water?" Byakuren was startled, unsure why Ruri suddenly mentioned the Land of Water. He then looked around and understood. The passing samurai were all staring at him with hostile eyes.

Using such a large-scale ninjutsu within the Land of Iron, the land of samurai, wasn't this a provocation to the Bushido they had always upheld? This was also why the other four Kage hadn't made a move.

However, although these samurai were hostile towards them, they did not step forward to interfere. The existence of shinobi was an irresistible trend, and they could not resist it.

Moreover, they knew that these few individuals could be said to be the strongest shinobi of the current era, controlling most of the power in the entire shinobi world, and not someone the Land of Iron could easily provoke.

As Ruri approached step by step, the Five Kage showed a defensive posture but did not obstruct him much.

"Who are you?" Hashirama stepped forward and spoke.

"First Takikage, Amemiya Ruri."
