Serena's POV
I spent hours watching my world—watching events unfold, watching people live their lives as if it were all real.
It felt like I was observing an entire living world, breathing and moving on its own. People laughed, argued, grew older, chased dreams… just like in any real place.
But it wasn't real.
I knew that. Of course I did.
And yet, I couldn't stop myself from watching as time moved forward without me, wishing—no matter how foolish it was—that I still had a place there.
Ciel's POV
"We are gathered here today," the head Seraphim continued, "to place Archangel Ael on trial—and to discuss the looming threat posed by the fallen Archangel Asriel and the fallen angel Lucien."
The hall erupted instantly.
Murmurs spread like wildfire—shock, disbelief, fear.
"Asriel? But he was executed—" "What is this about Asriel?" "That's impossible—"
Voices overlapped, confusion thick in the air.
