After mentally berating System 006 for being the world's most useless digital stalker, Everly finally turned her attention to Jeremy, who was now standing up and stretching.
"So? What does your system have to say about Aria? Why did we get hit with that crazy error screen tsunami when we touched her?"
Jeremy's expression darkened immediately, all traces of his earlier amusement vanishing.
"System 009 says it can't pinpoint the exact problem, but it's still investigating what the hell happened. There are some theories floating around, but the main message is that we need to be extremely careful because this is definitely system-related."
He walked over to the bed where Everly was still sitting cross-legged, his voice dropping lower.
