NOAH'S POV
The weather was sunny. Dad drove the car and mom sat beside him on the passenger seat. I was at the back of the vehicle
care freely making a drawing of a horse. It wasn't very impressive but I figured that it was good for a ten year old.
The car stopped just outside a huge bar gate, and at the top read the words 'KING-STONE AMUSEMENT PARK' in bold letters. I
instantly got excited. Did mom and Dad bring me here to spend time with me?
I found myself deserting my painting and focusing on the huge gates. I have never been here before and I couldn't help my excited
smile.
"We are here" Dad announced.
Mom glanced at me over her shoulder with a warm smile, "son are you ready to have some fun?"
I nodded rapidly. They seem to have finally figured out what I have always wanted. Being locked up in my house all day because
of my illness is not fun at all. This is a refreshing change.
After Dad had parked the car, we got down and strolled in through the huge gates along the green carpet grass. My parent walked
on either side of me holding on to my both hands. It was everything I've ever wanted. At least now we look like a family. It has
always been my wish, for my illness to be forgotten, even just for one day.
Dad and Mom talked and laughed and for once it felt like I truly had parents. I could not help but appreciate the effort they put in
this time.
We bought some ice cream and sat on one of the park benches mulching on it. I looked from my Dad to my Mom with a smile. I
was enjoying their presence and attention. They almost never have time for me. This is a rare moment for me. It is extremely
special.
Soon I had licked up all my ice-cream and mom asked me gently, "do you want some more Noah?"
"Yes mom" I replied in a smallish voice that could almost pass for a cute cartoon character.
"I'll go get it. Wait right here" she gave my Dad a look, "make sure you watch over him David"
"Roger that!" my Dad promised throwing his arm around me for added effect.
Not long before mom left, Dad also received a phone call and he gave me an apologetic look. "wait right here son, let me take
this. It's urgent". He stood up and walked a short distance away.
i sat there fidgeting nervously. I hated being alone in the open like this. My parent kept me locked up most of the time and now
I'm not used to it.
A tall huge man suddenly came to stand in front of me. His dark face was scary and his grin creepy even though he tried to make
it look friendly. "Hey kid. You're Noah Edwards right?" I frowned at him wondering how he knew my name. "your Mom asked
me to bring you to her. She's waiting for you by the ice-cream cart"
I was confused, "My mom?"
"Yes. She asked me to bring you to her" he repeated.
I did not know who his man was, but he knew my name. Could it be that mom really sent him?
I glance over at my Dad who was still making a call some distance away. "C_can I tell my Dad first?"
"Don't worry, he already knows. You just come with me" he stretched out his hand to me and I took it with some hesitation. I
followed the man away still looking at my Dad and hoping he would notice us, but he seem really occupied by his phone call.
The man lead me to the parking lot towards a black Benz and only then did I realize what was going on. "Let me go!" I cried out
as I struggled o break off from his strong hold.
He pulled me towards him roughly and c lapse his palm over my mouth. Just then we heard a tiny voice speak, "he said let him go.
What are you doing to him?" We all turned in the direction of the voice to find a cute little girl with wavy brown hair and big
green eyes. She stood fearlessly glaring at the men. "Let him go or I will call my dad and he'll beat you all up!"
There was another man standing car door and the two of them exchanged glances as if communicating with their eyes. The other
man by the car rushed at the little girl, seized her and forced us both into the car, then they drove away in full speed.
The bad men took us both to a cabin and locked us in a small dirty and empty room. At first we sat there for some moment
without talking or doing anything. I was afraid but I felt a little better because I wasn't alone.
All of a sudden the little girl stood up and began to look for something. My eyes followed her with a frown. "What are you
doing?" I asked when I saw her trying to reach for the handle of the class window.
"Looking for a way to escape." she answered like an adult "I don't want to keep my Dad worried." she glance sideways at me
"and you also need to find a way to go back to your parent" she turned around and continued to look for a way to unlock the
window.
She struggled until the lock came undone and she pulled it up by the screen. I had thought she would climb through and desert me
but she held it open and stared at me "come go first"
I was surprised that she was willing to help me. Of course I stood up and hurried towards her, but before she could help me climb
out, the door flung open and the two men walked in.
"You little brat!" One snapped and in a flash rushed to us. He pulled me down from the window and used his other hand to hold
the little girl. "Now who's brilliant idea was it to try and escape?" He asked as we both struggled to get out of his hold. Neither of
us was ready to answer him so he said "the boy is special to us. I guess we will have to teach the girl a lesson." He signaled to the
other guy who brought out a dagger causing us both to froze in fear.
I screamed for them to stop but they still forced the little girl's wrist down a table and stabbed her right through the wrist so that the blade appeared behind her wrist. She screamed along with me and with a dramatic pant, I fainted. My sick heart was too heavy to bear the horror and so i lost consciousness.
