Chapter 82 - The Round will begin!

So everybody asked us in disbelief, and working in that company surely helped me for the first time in my life, so I mostly dominated the entire conversation with King in the most polite yet effective way. So after sharing the details, we started to come out, and I thought that I didn't even get to travel in this kingdom, like traveling, eating outside, or seeing the common way of life. So I gestured towards Otaku and others that I will be moving out for some time and returning after some time. Seeing it, Ashoka and Otaku insisted on coming with me. Still, I stopped them and told them I was just moving out to stroll around, so after telling them, I quickly sneaked out of this big tree and saw that the whole area was quite clean and people were also quite cheerful with each other unless I started to get in the depth of the town, the strange small areas that look like alleys, and the same old people like drunkards, criminals, and other people. So seeing them, I felt that at least something was the same, but then I saw two elves who were in this alley and were covered in bruises and were going somewhere. Seeing the scene, I felt the urge to get a closer look at them, so the first boy went to a small tree, and looking closely, it was more likely a home of his, as there were elderly people in the house, so surely it might be his family. So I thought of looking closely at this family, as I had only met people of the royal family or nobles, but I had never met a commoner, so I went near the window-like area and started to hear what they were talking about, so when I started to hear, it felt really strange, like, "The mother: Kid, did you still not manage to get work? Are you still ruining your life and ours? Why don't you just join the military and leave us already? Do you even know how much it costs to raise you, or how worthless you are that you can't even find a job to help your family? You keep blabbering about Don't you like the job? Just get to it already. You can't just find what you want when you are this trash. So just take what is being given to you, and see the nearby kids—all are working at such great places while you are just slacking off every day. Instead of just getting a job, you keep blabbering about doing something that you will like. Why don't you understand that you are nothing special, and in this world, if you are nothing, then you don't get to decide what you want to do; you just have to move with the flow. So stop ruining your family's name and just join the work already! And then his father came out from inside and also started to curse him: "You brat, I can't feed you my entire life like this, you worthless scum. If you can't even do a job, then what are you even good for? Tell me, you were not good at education, you were not good at archery, and you were not good at anything. Did you ever give us a moment to even feel like we have a son? If I had known, kid, you would turn out to be this worthless, then I promise, I would have either sold you or killed you myself. All you do is say, "I am trying and trying," but your tries never even show results. What are you even good for? Hearing their words, her son kept staring as she didn't even notice his bruises or scars. He was looking more lifeless here than in the alley, and without saying anything, he came out of the house and closed the door and moved to a dark spot, and started to sob like a kid, touching his bruises and remembering words of his mother and his father and cursing his fate. Well, seeing it, I became sure that many things are still the same even in this world; the child without a job or money is still worthless to his parents, and they would just treat him like a burden. Well, it can't be said that when children grow, then only they behave like this; the moment when they realize that their parents are not providing what they want, then they do the same thing. Like when a kid refuses to study or accept their words, they do the very same thing; some use the method of beating, and some use the method of taunts. So it was nothing new for me to see this behavior because my entire life, I saw the same behavior, and then I saw that other person moving in the tree. To see his life, I went around his tree and also saw that this person had a wife and a kid. So at one moment I thought that he might have a different life, but he was also the same; his wife kept on screaming at him while his children treated him like shit, just because he didn't have a job. Well, the scene was more like "the wife: Hey, you still didn't manage to find a job. Just how worthless can a man become? Like, first you can't even find a job, and then you even have the nerve to come back at this late hour. If you can't earn money by going outside, then tell me; I will use you as help in my household! And then his son, that twerp, also had his say: "Father, why can't you be like other fathers, like only returning at night with money?" Hearing his words, that man also came out and sat in nearby alleys and sat quietly on the ground, drinking his life away. But when I thought I saw everything, I saw a charming person with quite fancy clothes entering a tree with a smile, his wife greeting him with a smile, and his parents and kids treating him pretty nicely and lovingly. Seeing it, a strange kind of pain rose in my heart, and I just kept staring at the scene, like how blessed people surely spend their lives, like having a loving family, loving parents, loving kids, and a beautiful life with no traumas, while people like us spend our lives struggling and having constant disappointments and just having an urge to end it all while our people all desire our death, like our parents, children, and partners. So seeing this scene, I felt that surely life isn't fair in any way; just because you are fortunate and had a better life, you get the right to ruin the lives of the people who didn't have that kind of circumstance, like some who became mature with trauma, some with childhood trauma, some with their career trauma, and others who escape this cycle spend their remaining life while healing from these traumas.
