Yunying reached for the pastry box again, lifting the lid fully this time. The sweet aroma drifted into the air, light and inviting.
She selected a small fruit tart first and turned toward Tan Mo. "You've been working all evening. Have one."
Tan Mo blinked, clearly caught off guard. "Madam, I—"
"Take it," Yunying said simply, already placing it into her hand.
"…Thank you," Tan Mo replied, bowing slightly before carefully accepting it.
Yunying then chose a strawberry éclair and handed it to Auntie Ma. "Auntie, you should have something sweet too."
Auntie Ma's face lit up immediately. "Oh, thank you, Madam. You're too kind."
Yunying closed the box and passed it to her. "Please share the rest with everyone. There's enough."
"Of course," Auntie Ma said warmly, already turning toward the kitchen to distribute the pastries.
Only then did Yunying pick one for herself, a small strawberry and cream roll. She took a neat bite, eyes softening at the taste. "Mm. You chose well."
