{Heavy panting} she runs into the woods as heavy footsteps follow her, she creeps under a fence as the footsteps passes by she holds her mouth trying not to breathe heavily when she hears a thud she turns back as she is dragged away forcefully.
CHAPTER 1: THE ENCOUNTER
"I can't believe how late we are" she said as she tripped (Rose the protagonist and main female lead, 26 year old student) "Woah are you okay rose, you don't have to be in a hurry you know" Ashley said "Hey Rosie you sweeping the floor help me pick this also" Fredrick laughs loudly as he throws a can at her "Jerk" Ashley yelled as he walked away unbothered "It's okay he has always been a jerk" she responded as she smiled at Ashley "You know you can't keep on working overtime, you have about eight jobs a day, you should study and rest you look exhausted" Ashley said fixing her hair. Ashley walks away as rose picks up her bag a car passes with full speed splashing water all over her "My day just keeps on getting worse" she said and walks away tiredly. "Should we check up on her sir?" The driver asked "She looks fine, keep on driving"Kael said (Kael the main Antagonist of the story)
(IN THE GIRLS BATHROOM)
"Such a rude person didn't even stop the car to check on me" Rose said sighing "You know you complaining doesn't make you look better" Fredrick said smiling at her "What are you doing here, this is the girls bathroom" Rose yelled at him as he walked away "That pervert gross" she washed her hand and walked out
AT THE AUDITORIUM
"Welcome back students, it's been a year and you all look bright and healthy can't wait to suck that up" The chairman said making the students and teachers laugh "Anyways this is your second year, our brilliant young minds welcome back to Ravenswood University " The chairman said as they all clapped "You will all see your new teachers who will educate you to a brighter future and mind, now off to class you all go", he said as they all walked away. Rose was about to stand up when she noticed a shadow passed her a shadow that she recognized but believed would be dead by now, a shadow impersonation that seemed to good to be true "Mrs rose black off to class" the chairman said, she ran off as he walked into his office with the man. Rose walks into the class followed by the new teacher she takes her sit quietly "Why do you seem so lost open up your book" Ashley said while giving rose a light tap "Oh sorry about that" rose replied immediately she opened her book
"We'll be talking about history today, history from the Nelson Mandela's time any one with a little enlightenment to this topic" The teacher speaks as his voice slowly fades out of roses mind, a loud fall sounded as she collapsed to the floor rushed by her friends to the nurses office
The following day she wakes up all sored and tired wondering what happened so she called Ashley
"Hey Ashley what happened, I can't remember how I got home" Rose said as she walks downstairs
"You're okay right, you fainted we tried all we could do to wake you up yesterday but you wouldn't even blink am so glad you're awake, was planning to come check on you" Ashley said as she chewed her gum, rose heard plates sound clapping "Um Ashley, is there anyone who was to stay with me here at home" Rose asked walking gently downstairs
"No why? We basically locked the doors yesterday, is everything okay" Ashley said worried "I think someone's in my house and...." Rose couldn't finish her sentence as she slipped through the stairs rolling down landing heavily on the floor "What are you doing" Jane held a pan looking at her "Jane, you're here" Rose said rising to her feet hugging her immediately "Of course am here what the hell were you doing rolling from the stairs" Jane said looking at her as she smiled "It's a long story just thought someone broke in" Rose said stealing the food from Jane's fork "You know you're supposed to be at school right, you guys just resumed and you're already taking a class of" Jane said with a false tone "Well am pretty late obviously but according to Ashley I fainted yesterday but I do not remember anything" Rose said as she stood up from the dinning heading back upstairs "Be quick I'll drop you off" Jane said tidying the kitchen. After taking her shower, wearing her clothes it's time to head to class
★THEY ARRIVED AT THE UNIVERSITY ★
"Study hard I love ya" Jane waved driving off "I love you too" Rose said on the top of her voice waving as Jane drives off "Your mom still drops you at school huh" Fredrick said teasing her "You should stick to minding your business Fredrick, seriously you're annoying" Rose spoke back at him "I'm annoying now, you didn't know that when you had a crush on me right" He attacks her back with his words as she folds "I was blind then, now I know you're just selfish" Rose said with her hands shaking as her keys fell to the ground she bends to pick it up "Guys watch this and get it on video" Fredrick said as he walks towards rose quickly pushing her to the ground with her phone screen breaking immediately "hahaha, that's funny..." He said but he ran scared as the others followed him "I guess I finally scare you now" She said as she looked at her screen "oh my screens broken, phones are expensive now" rose said pouting her lips as she noticed a big figure behind her, she tends to turn slowly "Do you mind moving" Kael said with a deep, soft and low voice "Oh sorry about that" she moves quickly dusting her knee "you may pass" she said giving him enough space to pass by "I never said I wanted to pass child" he said looking down on her "Child? Excuse me, am pretty much a grown woman, plus If you don't wanna pass why tell me to leave the way for you" she said standing her ground . Kael looked at her wondering if she didn't know who he was for her to stand her ground so boldly as Ashley walks in on them "Oh my god, am so sorry sir what ever she did or said am sure she didn't mean it" Ashley said pleading desperately "What are you doing right now, I didn't do anything he called me a child" Rose said putting down Ashley's hand but Ashley kept on begging for her "You're embarrassing me you know" Rose said looking at Ashley plead, she looks at Kael angrily and walks off as he gave a fading smile. Rose walks angrily down the hall you could hear her foot steps "I don't know what that was all about" she said angrily as Ashley came running towards her "woah are you insane, you should have just apologized" Ashley said hitting her shoulder "Ouch that hurts and why should I apologize when I did nothing wrong" Rose said holding Ashley's hand from landing another beating "That's Mr Kael Rylan one of the investors in our school" she said showing her his pics "you really shouldn't get on his bad side" she said as rose stopped walking
"Ashley you know me, I'm quite annoying but still quiet and I won't get on his bad side if he minds his own business " Rose said nagging "Rumors has it he does drugs selling, trafficking of human beings, he rapes girls for fun and kills people" Ashley said as rose stared at her speechless "you got goosebumps right" Ashley said looking at her "No I didn't am just surprised you believe all those rubbish, very soon you'll hear he owns this school or he slayed dragons in the mystic word or his a mafia" Rose said with a smile "Haha, it's not funny" Ashley responded as the bell rang "Well am off now " rose said putting her phone on her pocket as she took a step but was held back "Where you heading to, don't tell me going to work during school hours, you need rest bae" Ashley said caressing her skin "I need to work to earn money, I need roof over my head and I wanna graduate from this university so I have to work Ashley" Rose said giving Ashley a hug as she runs off heading for the gate "Miss Rose, you're in a hurry again, you know you should study like other girls your age, get a boyfriend and have big dreams" Mr Daniel said "Boyfriend? I don't have time for that, if he ain't rich I don't want him plus I need to work hard to earn a living" She said as she runs off the school gate. She arrives at her work as she cleans and make delivery, pet walk, dish clean, clean laundry then she went for her last job out to make a mail delivery she notices someone
following her, she passes through many alley's and roads but the person kept on following her, she became nervous and frightened as she turned swiftly saying "don't come any closer" she closed her eyes swing her knife as his hand held the knife pulling her close "You shouldn't play with sharp toys child" Kael said taking it from her hand as her mind thought #child# I've heard that calling somewhere before she opens her eyes slowly "Oh, It's you. why do you keep on following me" she said curiously "It's one of my hobbies, I love stalking girls like you" Kael said as he pockets the knife "Don't follow me am sure you have better things to do" Rose said as she walks through another alley but he follows her "would you quit it, you're scaring me" she said as he smiled "I guess you heard the rumors huh" he said as he walked passed her "That's just weird" she said when she walked the opposite direction, delivered the mail and ran for her life.
The following morning she heard sounds again coming from downstairs "I guess Jane's here again" she said and headed downstairs "you know you gotta let me know when ever you're coming right" she said arriving downstairs "Sorry am quite busy hun, the few times I have I just drop by here" Jane said washing the dishes "Why you doing the dishes , what did you prepare this time" Rose asked looking for the food "I can't see anything that you prepared" she said confused "Going for a picnic so I bought some groceries at the near by market and am done preparing the food, I left some in the fridge make sure you heat it up before you eat okay" she said, pecked rose as she left the house "bye again" rose said with a bored voice. It Saturday anyways she doesn't work on saturdays so she has nothing to do then she remembered her phone broken screen. "It's thirty dollars mam" the shopkeeper said "what thirty dollars for a screen" She said surprised "fine just fix it up quickly I have somewhere to be" she said handing the money to him "sorry but you'll have to go a day without a cellphone, we're closing up early today" the man said as he puts her phone in a drawer "okay then hand me back my phone I'll go some where else " she said but the man smiled not handing it back, she left his shop as she found him creepy "what's wrong with people nowadays" she said walking down the street as she noticed a road that she hasn't see before filled with bushes, she makes a step forward "And may I ask where you're going to little girl" Kael said pulling her back by her hoodie "don't pull me that way, it's none of your business stop following me or I'll call the police" she said pointing at him "Told you it's a hobby, when I see what I like i can't help but want to see it until it's mine" He said looking her "You're creepy, get out of my way this passage looks new" she said taking another step but he still pulls her back "Are you sure you wanna go there?" He asked as she looked at him angrily "of course I want to so stop pulling me back, besides it's not like it's your Lions den where you store human beings" She said hitting his hands "You don't know what I actually do in my Lions den and you don't wanna" He said with a soothing calm voice "stay away from this path of the city, I warned you, I don't let go of what comes into my den" he said smiling at her as he drives off "what a creep, I gotta get the police protection" rose said walking away but with curious mind. He came to her place every night watching her sleep from the window, stalks her and watches her every move for the pass eight weeks, you can call it obsession but not when it's Kael. Just like every feared person Kael also has a traumatic past, a past he wishes to escape and forget but it always seemed to haunt him. Morning came and rose decided to go for a morning tour but had lost of ideas where to go, she knew the city like the back of her hands since she visited everywhere but then she remembered, she visited everywhere but the restricted forest, so she heads out for a new discovery she took her camera and her water as she ran out of the house, she started a video blog with the current time 5:59am almost 6:00am her normal blogging time, she walks into the forest with branches snapping as it gave her a creepy vibe after some minutes she decided to turn back not going in any further but then she saw a man passed by a man who looked familiar, familiar as Kael she looks ahead and saw a mansion deep into the woods "I guess that's why he told me to stay away, he didn't want anyone discovering his hideout" she said as she turned off her blog "hey what you doing here?" She asked but the person kept on going deeper into the woods "am talking to you creep, you stalk me and now you choose to ignore" she said moving closer to him but he kept on walking away ignoring her even though he heard her "Would you quit it am talking to you" she snaps at him as he stopped walking he turns around with a creepy smile "hello darling, you shouldn't follow strangers into the woods" he said walking towards her "you're not him" she said realizing why he told her to stay away from the woods she tries to run as they capture her putting a bag over her head as she got knocked out. Few hours passed by, a mysterious man walks in removing their bags and splashing water on them to wake them up, another man seated comfortable with a smirk as he smoke his cigarette "Look what the cat dragged in" he said touching the girls faces, Rose still tired and dizzy from being knocked out didn't even notice the man standing in front of her
"All girls seem scared but you aren't, I like that" the mysterious man said smiling at Rose "human trafficking ain't easy you know, my boss is gonna like all of you, use you at his club and then when you're useless he'll kill you and feed you to his dog" he said giving them a devilish and wicked laughter
"Get them moving we wanna be there by midnight" he ordered as all the girls were dragged away. Rose worried with a pity face regretted not listening to Kael when he warned her, he seemed weird but he looked out for her "stop" a man yelled halting them as he moves forward with the others looking out for any trespassers, Rose decided to play wise "I need to pee please" she said but they ignored her "excuse me I need to pee" she said as one of the men walked towards her "and why should we care if you need to pee young lady" he said angrily "you should care" she said foolishly as he gave her a punch causing her nose to bleed as the other girls gasped "Did you just punch her" Another man walks towards them scolding the guy who punched her "she seemed to be troublesome" he replied "i only asked to pee, you don't wanna take me to your boss, with one of his girls smelling badly after I wet myself out here do ya? am sure he'll reject me and I'll go freely, so yeah don't worry when he frees me i can clean myself and pee at home" rose said trying to fool them "You know boss likes his presents clean, take her with you, you only got a minute" the other man said loosing her tied legs "umm how do you expect me to pee with my hands tide" Rose said looking at the man furiously "I'll help you with your zip don't worry" the other guy said with a crazy gaze as he scans her body, he takes her with him pulling her to the other side of the forest. "You only got a minute, let me help you unzip" he said biting his lips "no I'll do it myself" she slaps his hand and walked behind the bushes, she pours the water from her bottle leaving it on a high brick as it kept on pouring gently then she claims her escape, "You're taking long aren't you done" The man asked but there was no response "answer me lady" he said but there was still no response "what kinda pee are you taking... Oh no" he opens the bushes only to find it empty with only a water bottle, he shoots his bullet to the sky as a signal to an escaped slave "wow I think he noticed" she said running quickly, the other guys ran over "sorry boss she escaped" the man said "how foolish are you, find her we promised boss eight slaves and we'll give him his eight slaves go!" He ordered as they all ran out spreading to the forest, she ran quick and fast as fast as she could thinking it would last until she trampled on a branch that pierced through her feet she screams loudly but holds her mouth as she drags her self behind the trees, the men rushed over after they heard her scream but she holds her mouth tightly trying not to even release a gasp "I can't die here, no i can't not today" she said within herself as she heard a step coming closely behind her she ran out of ideas until one of the slaves ran passed by, they chased after her, she ran for her live but not all the men left for the other slaves, the rest chased after her but she ran for her life bravely, bleeding almost to death, dizzy and nearly unconscious "maybe i shouldn't fight it, maybe my faith has already been written I was destined to die like this, here, today but why the forest" she said as she dropped to her knees with a loud scream as the branch pierced deeply again through her legs, her tears dropped uncontrollably she heard hundreds of feet running through the bushes with a girl screaming and dragging "I guess they've caught her it's my turn to submit, but I won't let them take me alive" she said dragging a near by sharp wood wanting to pierce directly into her heart but she was to weak to lift her hand, she saw a man stand in front of her, with a shiny black leather boot, clothed in black, tall but she couldn't raise her head to tell who he was "I warned you not to come in here didn't I" Kael said dragging the wood from her forcefully "you caused all this.... I wouldn't have..." She was too weak to speak she fell to his feet and the men came running dragging the other slaves "you let one escape" Kael said to them carrying rose on his arm "we're so sorry boss, she tricked us" the man said "you've worked under me for years and you're still getting tricked by girls, that's a pity" he said angrily "sorry boss, I promise it won't happen again please spare my life" the man said pleading "I have never ever spared the life of anyone who loses my slaves and I won't today" he said as the man was dragged away "I'll take this one with me, send the rest to Robert he'll know what to do with them" he said as they walked away with roses eyes twitching as she fainted completely after hearing the sound of a sharp knife pierce and a loud scream.
He takes her to his mansion and gets her treated immediately, but still as merciless as he is he said "she tricked those fools she won't trick me handcuff her legs together" he said as he walked out of the room. "She lost a lot of blood and her injury might leave a scar both on her legs and on her nose" the doctor said packing his bags "her nose, she got injured on her nose, I told them to bring my slaves without any scars" Kael said angrily as he smashes his glass to the wall "You should take your medicine I'll come check on her next week, if she's still alive then" the doctor said as he walked away. He stands bold staring outside his window "Check on the girl, she better be breathing" he said with a deepen voice as his secretary walks into the room they kept rose, he walks in as he feels her nose as soon as he backed away he noticed her breathing pace increased but stoped suddenly without her breathing in or out, he places his hands on her nostrils but couldn't feel any air, he touches her pulse but it was weak, he takes his face directly to hers to check on her heart as she stabs him on the neck with a needle he stumble "You bitch" he said and fell to his knee making a vase shatter, the sound echoed to the ground floor where Kael heard it, Rose bounces on her feet still in pain but still has to escape if she wants to live, not knowing where she was or if it was an imagination that she saw Kael in the woods she needs to snap out of it, she bounces in pain heading to the door as the secretary pulls her cuffs making her slam on the cupboard with more glass shattering, he rushes towards her with a new needle but she refuses to be injected she fights with him pushing him away, he notices his boss didn't come running "my boss isn't here which means he doesn't care about you or he probably left so you better behave like a nice and pretty girl and don't annoy me" he said as she kicks the needle of his hand he trembles on her leg with full force as she screams loudly, Kael turns to face the door "I told him to check on her not fight with her" he said as he walks towards the stairs unbothered of how many minutes it would take if he walks slowly like a gentle men "I've had enough of you, quit fighting or I'll break your other leg" he said as he took out a new needle from his pocket, she tries dragging herself away but couldn't due to both two legs being in pain "i should have just followed the other guys or killed myself in the forest" she said pulling her body and her leg gently in pain "I guess you won't stop fighting so I'll make it easier for you" he said raising the needle bringing it to her neck at full speed but she interrupts it with her hands as it pierced through "Fuck" she screamed hitting him with a brick as he went unconscious, she wails in pain and groans pulling the needle out "If i can survive this I'll be scared of nothing else in this world" She said as blood gushes through her hand to her face she cries silently as she heard a step at the door "someone's coming, how many damn guards do they have" she said pulling herself under the bed as the door opens softly with a creeping sound kael walks in, she recognizes the shoe "then are the rumors about him true" she thought to herself "she knocked you out huh, you must be quite strong for a lady seeing how you knocked my secretary out and broke a lot of vases" he said as he sat on the bed "i could have allowed them take you if i knew you were this feisty and grumpy rose" he said gently standing up from the bed "he knows my name" she wondered because she never told him her name "yeah I know your name, I know the name of every girl I stalk, you can call it an owners instinct" he said picking up the broken glasses from the ground "You know if you come out now i might spare you" he said to her with a smile "I'm not a fool why would I come out" she said to herself knowing how all would end if he gets his hand on her "or maybe she already escaped, i should have gotten here sooner" he said as he took gentle step surrounding the bed like he was announcing a ritual but then he stopped "I told you i never let go of things that walks into my den" He said as he bends gently "there you are" he said as she turns around, her eyes meeting his, she tries to crawl out but he pulls her from the cuffs, as her leg bled "let go of me" she fought back holding to the woods of the bed strongly "You and i are not gonna have a happy ending if you keep on fighting back" He said pulling her fingers from the bed one by one "I rather die here than dream of having a happy ending with you" she snaps at him wanting to bite him " Be careful what you do or wish for, your life is in my hands darling, i can take it if I want to" he said as he carries her on his shoulder taking her to the basement. "Let me guess you're gonna torture me till I die huh, what did I even do to you, you grumpy fool" she said dragging herself but he holds her tightly on his shoulders "Kill you? No, Torture you? Also no, I don't do that to ladies" he said placing her on a chair "save that story when you get to hell asshole, you sell and traffic women and you don't call that torture, do you hold any grudge against them, did they ever offend you, did I?" She yelled at him but he keeps his cool "Curiosity did this to them, to you and to others to come, I warned you not to come into the forest but you did anyways, you didn't listen and I hate it when people defy me and don't follow orders" He said tying her to the chair "Obey you? Do I look like a toy or servant to you, I won't do such never so you better release me right now" she said angrily dragging her hands but it was tied tightly "You got injured alot for fighting back, if you had obeyed am sure you would have arrived safely and injured free at your destination by now" he said putting on a glove "what are you doing, what's the glove for, don't try anything foolish with me" she said with a painful voice as he brought out two needles "You see each time i get a new slave every month i make sure to give them a nice tattoo that will haunt them forever" he said as he tied her hair upwards "but it happens only two weeks after delivery but today i just feel like giving it to you now to see how much pain you can handle, this needle here is to make you fall asleep while you get a painless tattoo but it wouldn't be fun watching would it" he threw the needle to the ground crushing it leaving only a grain of powder and little glass "You're worst than the devil, fine do your worst and when you get tired you can kill me for all i care" Rose said as her voice fades gently "I like that plan and am sure it would be lovely to portray it won't it be" he smiled at her turning on the machine as he tattooed on her neck the saying MY SLAVE. With a name like that of course it is meant to haunt you forever even if you survive the torment given to you, for a while you believe fantasy movies aren't real, getting kidnapped might make you think you'll get a happy ending with enjoyable and sweet torture gosh, but it was all a fantasy anyways.
