A week had passed since then. He did come back the next day, just as he'd promised. And the day after that, and the day after that.
Each time he came with a different reason. Sometimes wanting to understand the supply chain, sometimes to meet with suppliers, sometimes to review financial projections, and sometimes to understand the fabrication process.
But today finally after a week, he wasn't here, and for the first time in days, I could breathe in my own office.

"Boss!" She said, holding two cups of coffee. She'd been doing this lately; bringing me coffee, sitting with me for a few minutes, asking about the work. "I thought you might need this."
