[SPOILERS FOR TBATE!]
Arthur followed himself across dead lands, even continents themselves. He learned of Ashuras, self-proclaimed gods. He couldn't deny that they were powerful, but he expected more from the Gods.
Then he learned about the horned man, the apparently named Agrona Vritra, an Ashura lord.
One of the most powerful beings I'm this world.
Countless times he repeated the story, making mistake after mistake. Correcting every single thing, just to progress. It was just about getting out of the nightmare; now it was about learning the story. He witnessed abilities similar to his own, he saw some that could destroy whole cities, one such being called "world eater". When he first saw a shiver ran down Arthur's back. How could such a power even exist? Then he learned why they were called Gods.
He realized his naivety, in believing that they were weak, just by judging them by their inaction.
But that scene will forever burn in his mind.
He now followed himself once again.
Apparently, this "Grey" that gave him flashbacks to his first nightmare, when he heard the name, was about to fight Agrona.
He watched the battle, if it can even be called one.
Grey teleported every which way, only leaving violet after images. He engaged Agrona in close combat, his superior techniques and abilities almost making it look easy.
Then he Grey stopped for, but a moment.
Then grinned. Suddenly, a slash flew through the air, going through Agrona like an illusion. Then Agrona fell down to his knees, his breath ragged, his body shaking with every breath. His eyes were the color of clotted blood.
Countless more slashes were released upon Agrona's broken form, each slash seemingly taking something away. Then Grey lay down next to Agrona.
Then he followed Grey once again, his godstep improving from necessity, barely able to follow his other self. He watched as Grey celebrated for a day. He talked about an edict, an aspect of the laws of the world itself. He talked about Fate.
Then he witnessed the battle that cemented in his mind that Grey, this person who looked almost identical to himself, was a God in human skin.
He watched as he tore down both of the Ashura lords, barely even taking a minute, to finish them off, getting rid of them for good.
Then their eyes locked, Arthur's eyes widened, fearing another loop. But it never came.
Grey approached him, and just looked at him, like a man long awaiting death.
Then his Djinn armor vanished, only normal clothes and the cloak remaining upon his form.
He spoke only one sentence.
"Fate is essential for any divine foe."
And with that, he found himself in the void filled with stars, under the control of the spell once again.
He wasn't a fool; he knew that this wasn't supposed to be his nightmare. Something interfered, and that something wanted him to grow.
His mind now buzzing with more questions than ever, headache already forming.
He awaited his appraisal.
[A/N:You might ask me, "didint you say you were burnout?" And tge answer is, I still am.
