(Faruq's Testimony)
—04 DAYS left till Faruq's Birthday—
Date: 14th June, 2027
Location: Amir's house
Time: 01:23 PM
—Amir's Room—
Next day, Faruq's sleeping. Amir comes home with a bag of food. He looks at Faruq,
tears are dropping from Faruq's sleepy eyes. Amir wipes out the tears then wakes
him up and says,
"It's lunch time."
Faruq looks at Amir with sleepy eyes and asks him,
"Hey man, u always go outside lately, what happened?"
Amir speaks with a low voice while unpacking the food from the bag,
"To get food~"
Faruq gets little surprised and asks,
"But you used to order everything online!"
Amir looks at him while smirking, then looks back at the bag and says with a soft
voice,
"Cause we don't have any money to order,
that's why I go outside to earn some bread for us."
Faruq says with a stumbled voice,
"What do you mean,
I thought your mom used to give you money?"
Amir smirks while unpacking and says,
"Ya used to. But not anymore."
Faruq is confused, so he asks,
"Why?
Has she got angry with you?"
Amir leaves a sigh and looks at the ceiling and with a low voice he says,
"Ya kinda–"
Then he looks back at Faruq, smiles and says,
"Don't worry, just eat-"
Faruq is silent, he puts his right hand on Amir's left shoulder and says,
"I'll go with you from tomorrow to find a job."
Amir smirks, moves the hand from his shoulder and says,
"Focus on recovering first. Have you got in contact with JANNAT"
Faruq with an angry voice says,
"I'm fully recovered.
And about Jannat I think she got into some situation.
But she will call me back when she can. Don't worry!"
Amir smirks and says,
"You sure?"
Faruq asks,
"About what? My health or Jannat?"
Amir says with a low voice,
"Both-"
Faruq says,
"Yes, for my health. And - No - for Jannat-"
Amir gives the food to Faruq and he starts eating. Amir looks at Faruq's biting
and suddenly recalls a memory. A memory that he is scared of-

In a dark room,
The sound of munching is haunting in the air,
Amir is biting on something black rubbery thing,
With every bite-
blood is drooling from his mouth, and
he is smiling.

Amir takes an empty gulp without knowing. So he snaps back, shakes his head, then
opens the drawer and takes two pills.
Faruq is staring at him and asks,
"Won't you eat?"
Amir says,
"Nah, I have already eaten-"
Faruq takes a sip on the juice and says,
"I thought you just take one pill, but-
nowadays you are taking 2 or 3 at once many times in a day.
Isn't it dangerous?"
Amir smirks and says,
"Better to live less with a sane mind,
Than living forever as a monster~"
Faruq stops eating as he is shocked, and says with a sad voice,
"Are you going to die?"
Amir puts his hand over Faruq's head and says,
"Every living being will taste death,
today or tomorrow.
It's the promise of THE ALMIGHTY ONE.
No need to be sad for facts."
Faruq is silent.
Amir smirks and says,
"Now finish the food!"
(Scene 37)
-AROUND THE SAME TIME IN A DIFFERENT PLACE-
Date: 14th June, 2027
Location: A secret room
Time: 03:33 PM
-THE SECRET ROOM-
Alpha smirks and says with a sarcastic voice,
"The sheep and the monster will look for job now-
as they don't have any money!"
While sitting on the chair and sniffing a skeleton Jamal whispers with a cold voice,
"Ya let them suffer more.
More they suffer, More tastier they will be.
Make sure that not a single penny or food comes out of anyone for them.
If someone does, then turn them into my dog's food!!!"
Alpha is smirking.
(Scene 38)
-01 hours 09 minutes left till Faruq's Birthday-
Date: 17th June, 2027
Location: Interrogation Room
Time: 10:51 PM
(Interrogation Part XI)
TAP, TAP, TAP- The Leech is tapping his finger on the desk.
Then he asks Faruq with a doubtful voice,
"How did he get the food if he doesn't have any money?
Did he rob or steal from someone?"
Faruq takes a sigh and says with a low voice,
"He said,
he roams around the area,
does some odd jobs for the poor people
like cleaning toilet, cutting grass and
in return he gets some left-over food~"
The Leech smiles with distrust in his voice and says in a sarcastic way,
"We got technologies for those chores.
Are you bullshitting me?"
Faruq leans forward, locks eyes with The Leech and says with a serious voice,
"Well the poor ones can't afford those technologies~"
The Leech tilts his head in a way like he is agreeing with Faruq and says,
"Well you got a point. Ok continue-"
(Scene 39)
-AT THE SAME TIME IN ANOTHER ROOM-
Date: 17th June, 2027
Location: Torture Room
Time: 10:51 PM
(Torture Part IX)
Amir smirks and says in a sarcastic way,
"Why don't you bring those rusty knifes-
and run them through my veins?"
The Ticks stares at Amir, then slowly walks up to the tool's table, puts his hand on a
rusty knife, looks back at Amir and says with a disappointing voice,
"I guess you leave me with no choice.
You can't blame me now-
if I disobey the order by killing you.
You asked for it."
With big eyes, and wide creepy smile Amir is staring at The Tick.

(Faruq's Testimony)
—03 DAYS left till Faruq's Birthday—
Date: 15th June, 2027
Location: A city
Time: 06:06 AM
The next day, both Faruq and Amir go outside to find jobs. Most of the shops are
closed as lockdown is going on, because the murder rate keeps rising and the serial
killers are not yet captured. Only a few shops are open.
But every shop or place they go to, they get rejected as soon as the owner sees their
face and gets a call from someone. As if they got orders from someone for not giving
Amir and Faruq any job or food.
Not just one or two shops, but every single shop that is open in the city is behaving
weirdly in the same way. Amir just stares at them when they get rejected while Faruq
keeps arguing without realizing the catch. After searching the whole day, night comes
with darkness to embrace their pain . Being Tired, hungry and thirsty, they both sit
on the side of a road, where dogs are eating food from a bin, Faruq stares at them
with a hungry stomach.
Amir lights up a cigarette. Faruq sees that and says with a frustrating voice,
"Where did you get the cigarette-
when we don't have money for food?"
Amir smirks and says,
"I got backup cigarettes~"
Faruq says with a sarcastic voice,
"No backup for food but backup for cigarettes!!!
You filthy drug addict!!!"
Amir is smirking while looking the other way avoiding eye contact with Faruq like a
guilty kid who just got caught red handed for his mischievous act.
Faruq also smirks for a second, but in the next moment his smiles fade away from his
face. Then he says with a sad voice,
"I have been trying to ask you for a long time?"
Amir replies with a smirk while looking at the dogs,
"What?"
Faruq takes a deep breath and says,
"Are you still angry with me for what I did 13 months ago?"
Amir stares at Faruq, his facial expression changes, smirk fades away from his face.
He replies with a cold voice,
"What you did was the right thing,
and I already forgave you for that a long time ago?"
Faruq smiles with happiness, leans and asks,
"What about Rakib? Have you forgiven him too?"
Amir with a serious face looks at the sky and says with a cold deep voice,
"Who Knows?
I forgave him for what he did,
But,
I haven't forgiven him for why he did that?"
Faruq is silent, Amir taps his head and says,
"Enough talk about the past. Focus on now!"
Faruq with a sad voice says,
"Ya—"
Amir looks around and says in a low voice,
"You see, how the world is fucked up?
Even though we want to work, we can't!!!"
Faruq speaks angrily with a desperate voice,
"No one gives us a job,
cause we didn't finish our graduation,
Fuck graduation!!!
also we don't have any recommendation from anyone,
Fuck nepotism!!!
And most jobs are done by robots with Artificial Intelligence,
Fuck robots!!! "
Faruq points middle finger to a nearby CCTV camera.
Amir smirks at Faruq's reaction, takes some puffs and says with a cold voice,
"It's funny how loads of buildings are empty-
but the homeless can't stay there.
As if no one wants to give them a chance to lead a better life.
And the moment you are born into this world,
You have to participate in the rat race without realizing-
to chase the toxic cheese by sacrificing morality in the name of surviving"
Faruq with a confused voice asks,
"Toxic cheese?"
Amir takes a sigh and looks at the sky. Then says with a cold voice,
"Ya, Money.
If you got enough of that-
then others will cry with you if your new dress gets stained.
And if you don't have the cheese,
then they will put hands on their nose-
while crossing by your rotten hungry corpse beside the road."
Faruq starts scratching the top of his head with both of hands and says with a
frustrated voice,
"There's only one solution!"
Amir passes him the cigarette and with a smirk he asks,
"And what's that?"
Faruq takes the cigarette, put that on his mouth, takes a puff, then stands up and
points his finger at the sky and says with a serious voice,
"When the world starves us for playing fair,
we need to play by its unfair rules-"
Amir burst out laughing.
Faruq looks at Amir and says with a serious tone,
"Na man, I'm serious,
we need to steal or rob someone.
We won't kill anyone,
just will scare them, get the food and run away~"
Amir laughs and puts his hand on Faruq's head,
"Crime doesn't start with action but with just a thought.
The devil is whispering to you now.
There's no need for you to put dirt on your hand!!"
Faruq says with an angry voice,
"What do you mean? We are hungry!!!"
Amir says,
"Ya rush your decisions with devil's whisper,
do something stupid,
gets caught by the cameras and go to jail by their rules"
Faruq replies with a serious voice,
"Better to live in prison than starve to death!"
Amir whispers in Faruq's ear,
"Then, what's the difference between you and a pet?"
Faruq is silent. He thinks of something and says,
"What should we do then?"
Amir smiles and says,
"My mom used to say,
'Always seek help from The Almighty One-
even if you need just a lace for your shoe'."
Faruq looks at the sky.
Amir sees some boys walking in front of them, he glares for a second at them,
then says to Faruq with a cold voice,
"Just wait here, I'll come back here with some food from a friend~"
Faruq replies with a soft voice,
"Can I come?"
Amir stands up, looks at Faruq with kind eyes and says with a low voice,
"Nah, just trust me and wait here."
Amir follows those men, as they go to a shop and buy loads of food. But they behave
very roughly and aggressively with the shopkeeper. Amir is watching them from the
other side of the road. They are tossing food here and there in the shop, while using
abusive verbal language. When they have left, Amir goes inside the shop. The shop
owner gets angry after seeing Amir and says,
"Told you, there's no job or food for you."
Amir doesn't say anything, he just leans and helps the shopkeeper to put things back.
Then without saying anything, he starts walking on the way where those men went.
He walks for a bit and finds them under a big tree. There are nine of them.
Amir walks up to them. Those nine of them notice Amir and stare at him. Amir
brings out a watch from his pocket, holds that in front of them and says with a low
voice,
"Anyone knows what it's worth?"
One of the men walks forward, takes the watch, analyzes it and says with excitement,
"It's one time custom made legit watch of 'The Bulls',
No matter how much money you got, you can't have one of them,
It's priceless!!!"
All the men's eyes changes, greediness covers the sight, they smirks and the man who
was holding the watch- slowly puts that in his pocket with a smirk.
Amir smiles and says,
"You don't need to rob that-
I was here to trade that for a few pieces of breads and drinks~"
All the men start laughing and says,
"We got a crazy son of a bitch here,
Alright we will trade!"
Amir says with a smirk on his face,
"Like I said, I was here for a trade.
But after seeing your morals with the shopkeeper,
I changed my mind.
Now I'm here for a deal~"
One of the men, Salman walks up to Amir while saying with a sarcastic voice,
"Morals? What era you are from old man.
And a deal?
You think we will play fair with you in this unfair world?
You better leave–
before we carve the unfairness of this world into your bones!"
Amir smiles and says,
"Don't worry I will make it fair for you~"
Salman whispers to Amir,
"Fair for us? Let's hear the deal then–"
Amir lights up a cigarette, takes a puff and says with a cold voice,
"An all out BRAWL between you 9 against me.
If you win , you can keep the watch,
and I will leave~"
All the men start laughing. Salman stops laughing and says with a serious voice,
"I like your craziness-
It's really fair, haha-
But what will happen if we kill you by silly mistakes,
You know humans always make mistakes."
Other men smirk with evil intentions on their hearts. Amir is smoking, he glares at
others and says with an evil smile,
" If that happens, The Vultures will have a feast then.
So, you accept the deal?"
Salman smirks and says,
"Why not?"
Without saying anything else Salman swings his hand towards Amir.
At the next moment, Salman slowly opens his eyes and sees all his friends are on the
ground including him, unconscious.
Amir is searching for something in their food bags. Amir takes out two pieces of
breads, and two pieces of drinking water bottles, then staring at Salman,
Amir says with a low voice,
"I just took some pieces of bread and water bottles.
Don't worry,
I have left enough food for you all,
cause you guys also need to eat to live too.
And sorry for hurting you guys~
But always act gently with everyone no matter who they are.
Everyone has dignity like you all do.
Now I need to go,
someone is dying for some food~"
Salman can't talk, his whole body is paralyzed. Amir gets up and starts walking. But
he stops, looks back and says,
"Ow, silly me, almost forgot about the watch."
Then Amir walks to the one who put the watch in his pocket before. Amir leans, and
takes the watch from his pocket. Then starts walking as Salman's eyes are getting
blurry and mixing with the darkness of the night.
Amir comes back and sees Faruq. He falls asleep beside the road. Amir doesn't
wake him up. He takes off his shirt, makes a pillow with it and puts that under
Faruq's head. And then he sits beside him and sees two dogs.
Amir gives half of one piece of bread to one dog, then another dog comes and he
gives the other half to him. Then pours them some water from one bottle on a tray
beside the road.
Then he lights up a cigarette and walks to a corner to pee. When he comes back,
he sees Faruq is trying to eat something from the bin. So, Amir runs to him and
grabs his hand to stop him. Then he gives Faruq the second piece of bread and one
water bottle.
Faruq starts eating like a hungry wolf.
Amir gets sad remembering how he told Faruq not to worry about food. But he failed.
Faruq finishes the bread and the water, but his stomach roars as it's still hungry.
Amir calls someone with his old phone, and talks for a bit.
Then he rubs his hand on Faruq's back of the head and says with a sad smirk,
"Let's go home~"
