Loredana was finally able to reach Lucian.

There was absolute silence on the other side of the phone. And that was all the answer he needed to know. She didn't break down immediately, instead she said to him, "Come to the family doctor's place."
[Huh? Why?]
"Your wife. She's in a bad condition."
