Loredana suddenly shot up from her seat, eyes flickering rapidly. "My child…"
Her face grew paler than it already was, eyes darting around, searching for her cell phone. She wasn't sure what it was, but she could feel it, almost as if her son was gone.
That he was… dead.
She snatched her phone from beside her on the sofa and quickly dialed Nikolas's number.
There was no response.
She tried over and over again, still nothing. By now, anxiety was beginning to eat at her. She had subconsciously begun to pace back and forth, teeth dug into her bottom lip. No matter how many times she called, Nikolas wouldn't pick up.
So, she tried Lucian, and to her horror, it was the very same case with him. None of them was answering her calls.
"W-what is going on? My so—"
The door bell was ringing rapidly, grabbing her attention. "Massimo," she called.
