Preparing breakfast for Alpha Theodore had become my morning ritual, a small comfort that quieted the storm in my mind. Today, I needed that peace more than ever. Becky's harsh words from yesterday still echoed in my thoughts, each accusation cutting deeper than the last. Stealing food? The absurdity of it made my blood simmer. Theodore's kitchen overflowed with abundance, stocked with enough provisions to feed half the pack. Her allegations reeked of pure jealousy, nothing more.
Lost in my bitter reflections, I failed to notice when Theodore appeared beside me at the counter. His presence hit me like a physical force, stealing the air from my lungs.
