Seraphine's POV
I smacked his chest hard with my palm. "Alpha Theodore, we're finished having babies. If you want more pups, adopt them, but I'm not having any more children."
His expression darkened. "No, Seraphine, you need to—"
I pressed my hand firmly over his mouth. "Be quiet and go to sleep."
That night, wrapped in Theodore's strong arms, I fell into the deepest sleep I'd had in weeks. A powerful dream consumed me completely. I found myself standing alone beneath a brilliant full moon in an empty clearing. The intoxicating scent of roses and jasmine surrounded me, so thick I could almost taste the sweetness on my tongue. Raw magic pulsed through the air, sliding across my skin like silk before vanishing without warning. I spun around frantically, overwhelmed by the strangest sense that I'd been here before. Why did this place feel so familiar? Why did I sense someone watching me from the darkness?
