Chapter 116 - [116] Break In

Everyone in the room was stunned, their eyes moving between Akiko and the unconscious men.

"Wow…" Himiko muttered underneath her breath.

Meanwhile, Kyle was studying their bodies closely, his excellent sight allowing him to do so from where he stood.

'What happened to them?'

For a second they seemed to be choking, and then they began to bleed…

'Is it a body-altering quirk? How was such a powerful quirk not mentioned once in the anime?'

He turned to Akiko, only to see her collapsing. Before she could fall, he sprinted to her and held her in his arms.

She seemed exhausted, but other than that, she was just unconscious.

'Akiko had such a quirk?'

Quirks were so common that it wasn't odd to find out someone had one. But knowing someone had a quirk this powerful was different from knowing they had some bum quirk.

'What sort of quirk even was that? Is this the reason she has been acting weird all week?'

Kyle had noticed the signs a long time ago. Akiko had seemed a little down, and she was not nearly as efficient as she was.

At that time, he thought it was just stress, so he made Xian her assistant.

But now, Kyle couldn't help but wonder if it was something else.

"Is Akiko alright?" Sakura asked as she hurried to Kyle to check on her friend.

"Yeah, she's just sleeping."

Sakura nodded, her expression lightening as she watched her. From the way she watched her, Kyle was sure she too had no idea her friend had such a quirk.

"Xian, Sakura." Kyle called, and the two girls turned their attention to him. He took out his keys from his pocket and placed them in Sakura's hand.

"Follow the back exit and take her to the hospital, be quick, we'll handle things here."

Although she looked fine, going unconscious from using your quirk wasn't often a good sign.

They both nodded and Sakura took Akiko in her hands and walked out of the room.

There would be plenty of time to find out what was going on with Akiko later. As for now, they had more visitors.

Boom!

The door was suddenly blown apart, a large muscular man walking through the shattered frame with a wide smile on his face.

Accompanying him were two other men with steel bats in their hands and a dark hood over their heads.

"Ohoho, so you are the little shits that stole my brother's sienna huh?" The burly man asked.

"Wait what?"

Kyle and Himiko shared a knowing look.

'Don't tell me Gege brought a gang just because he was a sore loser.'

"Stole?" Kyle laughed. It was the same old narrative with these goons.

"Your idiot brother lost his car in a bet. Why should I care if he got so hurt that he tattled to his boyfriend?"

"By the way, do you know how much I bought that door, you bastard? Are you trying to piss me off?!"

The door alone had cost a pretty penny!

The man scowled, his jaws clenched as he stared daggers at Kyle.

"Kid, it seems you don't know the situation you are in!"

The two men took a step forward, their gazes locked on him.

"You are in the presence of Kalak of the legendary Salamander gang. And you think you can fuck with us?"

Vwhoosh!

A large wave of energy crashed into Kyle, the force of the explosion causing the wind to run wild.

But even with his outburst, no one in the room even moved an inch.

Solvane was still eating as though nothing was happening, and Himiko seemed more concerned about the sienna than anything else.

When the man saw that they gave no reaction to his threats, his expression turned cold.

"What the hell is wrong with you kids? Don't you fear dea—"

"Boss! It's the guys, something is wrong with them!" said one of his men, interrupting him.

The burly man turned to where his goon was pointing, and his expression darkened. "Gege?"

'He's just noticing him now?' Kyle thought.

There was a brief silence as the man watched his bleeding brother.

Then he stared at Kyle, his expression cold, and his voice colder. "What the fuck did you do to my brother?"

The animosity seeping out of him was so palpable that Kyle could practically smell his killing intent.

But he couldn't possibly care less.

He waved his hand dismissively like they were talking about a bag of trash.

"Well…" Kyle smiled devilishly. "We disposed of him, have a problem with that?"

The room grew colder, tension sparking in the air like wild currents.

"Hey, Kiseki, stand at the door, make sure no one escapes." He pounded his fists together.

"I hope you are ready for what is coming to you, kid. First I'll tear that pretty girlfriend of yours limb from limb before your eyes, then I'll get that kid sitting over there next."

Solvane frowned, but her mouth was too full to speak, so she only angrily mumbled a few unintelligible words.

The burly man continued. "And when I'm done, I'll tie you to the back of that sienna and pull you all the way to Kamino wa—"

"Let me help you out." Kyle cut in, interrupting him.

Whoosh!

Crimson spikes made of blood suddenly surged out of his arms, racing towards the door.

They collided with the door frame, sealing the exit tightly shut. With another wave of his arms, all walls in the café were covered with a protective layer of blood, sealing them in.

Kyle smiled. "What was it you said again? Rip her up piece by piece? Well, now you have a little privacy."

Himiko walked up to Kalak, a sly smirk on her face and her hands clasped behind her back.

Kyle laughed lightly, shaking his head as he walked over to where Solvane was, pulling out a chair to sit down.

He picked up a cupcake and stuffed it into his mouth, much to Solvane's displeasure.

"Please, don't mind us. Go ahead, rip her apart."

Kalak stared at Kyle and Himiko, his mind scrambled by what he was seeing and hearing.

"You fucker! You think I am a fucking joke?!" He screamed, his energy exploding forward and causing the tables to rattle.

"Do you think I would be scared by your little magic trick? Do you really think I won't do what I said?!"

Kalak licked his lips, a disgusting smile on his face as he pointed at Himiko. "It seems you need a little show to take me seriously. They always come around when they start screaming."

"Diddo, break her arm." He said to the second goon.

Diddo's body blurred as he activated his quirk which gave him a minor speed boost.

He swung his bat at blinding speed, the steel frame about to crash into her shoulder when—

BANG!

In a heartbeat, Himiko twisted out of the way and drove her fist right into his gut, her fist feeling the outline of his lower ribs.

The wind picked up around them, a sickening crunch reaching their ears just before he was blasted to the other side of the room, his body crashing hard into the wall.

Kalak stared at Diddo with wide eyes. "What the fuck."

Himiko smiled cutely while tilting her head to the side. "Who is next, hmm?"
