Chapter 75 - [75] Meeting up with the others

Kyle placed his phone back into his pocket after speaking to Nejire, then sat down, legs crossed.

'Such terrible timing…'

After taking down some of UA's strongest fighters, UA was the weakest it could have ever been, and now the villains had arrived like vultures to sink their teeth into the corpse.

He gritted his teeth and puffed angrily. "These little shits."

Originally, there was no attack on the sports festival, so Kyle had not expected them to act, which was his mistake.

The new villain group seemed far more ambitious than he had expected them to be, and their plan had to be solid if they were able to sneak bombs into the stadium.

'Is most likely the black one's quirk.'

When Kyle encountered them, there was a particularly troublesome member with dual quirks.

He wore a pure black bodysuit and had both super speed and spatial transportation. With such a quirk, doing something like this would be a walk in the park…

As Kyle was thinking things over, one of the part-timers arrived at his table with a boba drink and placed it on the table.

Kyle took a sip of the drink, then paused and stared at the cup.

"Who made this?" he asked, not even looking at the part-timer.

"It was me, sir," came her light voice.

He took another sip, his expression softening. "Hmm… it's good."

Kyle then turned to the girl, recognizing her immediately.

Her hazel-brown hair was wavy and fell down in silky smooth waves, framing her face, and her blue eyes contrasted sharply with it, shining like two shards of freezing cold ice.

She was the girl who had ridden with them in the same car, unlike the other part-timers.

'If I remember well, Akiko said they used to work together in the past.'

Kyle placed the cup on the table. "Are you interested in working for us?"

"Uhmm… W-what? Yes! I would love to." Her face lit up in surprise, and she hugged the tray to her chest.

"Do you have a quirk?" Kyle asked casually, his expression shifting from her to the stadium.

The girl's expression fell immediately after he asked, and she breathed out a tired sigh.

Kyle perked a brow. 'What is with that reaction?'

She dropped her tray on the table and took a step back before taking in a deep breath—her hair suddenly began to shift from hazel-brown to white-silver.

Kyle felt the shift immediately after it happened; it was as though he had been plunged right into the arctic.

'So an ice ability like Todoroki… but this is undoubtedly stronger.'

Without even showing much of her quirk, Kyle could tell that she had the potential to become a hero or at least gain admission into a hero academy.

And yet she was serving coffee as a part-timer's job. Plus, that reaction she gave earlier…

'It looks like there is more to this one apart from her delicious drinks…'

"You start work tomorrow. Be at work before me, or you won't have the job for long." Kyle stood up and picked up the cup, finishing the drink in one gulp.

Meanwhile, the girl was staring at him, unsure of what to say.

Kikimaru Café was slowly becoming one of the hottest cafés in the district, especially after this deal.

So far, she had been moving from one part-timer's job to the other because no one would hire her due to her unsavory background.

Her quirk was meant to be a dead giveaway about who she was, and yet—

'He hired me without even asking…' she mused.

Kyle glanced at her as he took out his phone. "That is all. You can get back to work."

She nodded, thanking him one more time before scurrying away, a small smile on her face.

After ensuring that she was far enough, Kyle took out his phone and called Sakura, instructing her and Akiko to relocate to the first food truck.

He couldn't afford to risk the lives of his workers in their childish battle.

Shortly after, the Big Three arrived, and Kyle handed the map to them, acting like a typical panicked citizen.

But when they left, he stuffed his hand into his pocket and slowly began walking towards the stadium.

'This rebel group is trying to capitalize on the festival to cause chaos… but their mistake was not making preparations for me.'

His gaze darkened, a pulse of red light igniting in his eyes.

All he had to do was wait, allow both the heroes and the villains to wear themselves down, then he would crash the party.

And rid himself of the anomaly.

Lemillion was racing across the hall, Nejire and Suneater not too far from him.

They burst through one of the doors, heaving a breath as they entered, the map clutched tightly in their hands.

"I've brought it!" he said as his haze moved through the room.

Immediately after he arrived, all eyes turned to stare at them, the concern clearly visible on each of their faces.

In the room were pro heroes, UA staff that they had interacted with at some point in the academy.

R-Rated Hero: Midnight, Snipe, and Voice Hero: Present Mic.

Another notable person was Smile Hero: Ms. Joke, who had come to see how Aizawa's students would perform.

But as Lemillion stared at them, his expression fell. It was hard to think that their teachers had all been defeated so easily.

It was so bad that they even had to request help from Ms. Joke, who wasn't a staff member of the school.

Before they began planning, Midnight retold everything that she had already told them.

"Are you trying to tell me that a single person took out some of our best heroes? How is that possible?" Snipe asked in disbelief.

Present Mic frowned. "He even took down Eraser Head? Damn it, why did these villains all choose today to attack UA? What are they after?"

Midnight shook her head. "We don't know what they are after, but it is obvious they want to separate us to take us down individually."

She placed her hand on her waist before continuing.

"We can't expect help from All Might. We have to clean up this mess ourselves, or it will be troubling."

Not only that, the villains had threatened to detonate the bombs if they requested any sort of external help…

She placed the map on the table, her expression serious as she studied it.

"This is the plan…"

If the map was correct, then the five bombs were each placed far from each other in such a way that it would take some time to move from one location to the next.

There was a bomb placed at the northern, southern, western, and eastern parts of the arena, the final one being in the center, underground.

"We will split up into five groups."

It was what the villains wanted, but they had no choice but to play along with their game.

For now—
