Eric grunted as he heard his bone broked. Eric staggered to towards the bus stop, he enter the bus and staggered to the back seat.
"3rd Plainfield street." The driver called out the passengers that came out including Eric. The passengers paid the bills through a transport card.
"Excuse me sir, could you please help me to bring out my card from my right pocket." Eric begged the driver as he got to the front.
The driver laughed hard and said, "Hey kid, do i look like some kinda of fancy nancy nanny. I'm a driver. By the way, you got hands for something don't you."
"You can't understand, my hands are....." Eric was interrupted by an angry passenger who said, "Take the card kid, we ain't got all day."
Another passenger chipped in, "Yeah, your hands are not broken."
Eric stared at his already straighten arm, with a face full of surprise, he placed his transport on the scanner and stepped out the box.
"Hey Eric, are you home?, i am on a late night shif. So you could order something to eat. Don't stay up." Wally said over the phone."Okay dad, see ya," Eric replied as he shut the door behind him. "Time to control this power."
Eric zoomed to his room in a twinkling of an eye. He opened his childhood safe of the flash comics and brought out the first book.
"I got my powers after by struck by lightning. But the flash got his powers when he fell in a pool of some hazardous chemicals and was electrocuted." Eric muttered softly.
"The collider Dr garrick built must have changes something in the city that night." Eric said as he stared outside his window. "But there is only one way to find out."
"Mercury labs wouldn't be too far again. I got superspeed but it is in the other side of the city." Eric said as he stood outside the house.
"Eric, you got this." Eric said to himself as he took a deep breath. He zoomed through the city towards the direction of Mercury labs.
Soon he was at the bridge that about 10 miles from his house and he hadn't spent up to 10 minutes. He zoomed pass cars and motorcycle.
He came to halt as he smelt something burning, he removed his burnt goose-padded jacket and dropped it on the ground.
"Mercury labs, here i come." Eric said as ran towards Mercury labs up-a-head.
Soon Eric arrived at the room where the collider is, "Woah, this place needs a serious make-over." Eric said as he crawlled through a hole. "Woah, this place is crazy." Eric stared that the broken collider outside the room where he was standing.
"There's gotta be something around here. Eric said as he searched the room for anything to could explain what was going on.
Then he touched a flash drive underneath the control panel. Removing it, he wondered why it was not destroy by the collider. Then he heard a sound coming from the rooftop, he quickly hid a coner. He stared a person wearing a black mask descended from the sky, "A meta-human."
The figure landed on the ground and dropped a bag full of some heavy weapon. The figure conjure some wind to raise two heavy machine that look like a battery.
"Wait, is that not the adaptor 101. This is what Dr Garrick used to boost the collider. This meta-human is trying to active the collider again." Eric muttered to himself. The figure carefully the machine together through air, then dropped it on the ground.
Eric brought out his phone and began to snap the picture of the meta-human. Just then his phone rang, "F*ck dad, why are you calling?"Eric asked himself. The meta-human looked at the direction of sound and saw Eric.
"Hey, hello Mr Meta. I'm just a teen who just want to do some research on the collider. " Eric explained standing up. "This is gonna be the last research you will ever do." The figure said flying towards Eric.
The thing that came to Eric's mind was 'Run, Eric, run'
Eric zoomed off, but the lightning crackling from his back was leaving a trail for the Meta-human. "How is this possible? I'm a speedster." Eric asked as he saw the meta-human moving closer to him. Eric zoomed through the stairs leading to the rooftop, Eric felt his hair standing turning back, he saw a ball of air coming towards him. Dodging it easily, he unknowingly released an electric pulse from his hand which slow the meta-human down.
He pushed the door open and was about to run down the building. But a force of wind pushed him backwards.
Eric grunted as he fell back on the ground, "Ah, ah."
"Kids like you don't deserve to live." The man said as he circled around Eric.
Eric grunted as he stood back up and turned his hands that crackling with lightning.
Eric released lightning balls from his hand, running around the rooftop, he kept blasting lightning balls at the meta-human.
The meta-human became angry and conjure a huge and mighty ball of air and blasted it towards Eric. Sensing the danger coming behind him, Eric ran towards a wall and climbed on it due to his speed and did backflip.
Eric hovering his right hand over the other one and created a lightning ball and blasted it towards the meta-human.
But it passed through him, "What the f*uck, how is this possible."
"Ah!!!" Eric screamed as he ran around the rooftop, jumping up the lightning crackled from his right hand and was about to land a mighty blow on the meta-human.
But he passed through the meta-human, the meta-human seeing his ignorance grabbed the collar of his shirt and whirled him around the air.
"How this possible?" Eric asked. "I have the power to control wind and i can turn into a mist-like state. No one can ever stop me, i am The Mist" The meta-human said.
The meta-human pinned him on the wall, punching his face. "If i kill you, i will then complete my masterpiece and destroy this goddamn city."
Eric anger boiled inside him, the meta-human body returned back to normal.
Eric released an electric pulse from both his hand which zapped the meta-human to death. Landing on the ground, Eric zoomed towards the meta-human and landed an electric punch on the Meta's fore head.
The Meta landed on the car on the ground. Eric zoomed down the building, leaving a trail of dust and blue lightning behind.

"So you're telling me that you're a speedste! How is that even possible?" Alan asked as Eric told him about his powers.
"Hush, people might hear you." Eric said quietly turning around to see if anyone was near, he brought Alan to this isolate place in the park to tell him about his secret.
"When the collider exploded, it released a huge wave of dark matter and it was that time i got struck by lightning. The dark matter combining with the speed of lightning, giving me superspeed." Eric explained.
"Wait, i don't understand."
"Okay, try not to freak out." Eric said.
Eric zoomed around Alan for some minutes and stopped. "Woah, this is amazing."
"One more thing, i can release a electric ball from my hands," Eric said happily. "Wanna see?"
"Of course i wanna saw." Alan answered. Eric turned to a trash can behind him.
"Boom!" The trash can exploded as the electric ball Eric released hit it.
"My mind is blown away, if you learn how to control it, you could become a superhero for this god forsaken city. Your code name would be The Flash." Alan said climbing on a bench next to him, striking a pose.
"I don't think so, The Flash has already be taken. Anyway, last night, i went to mercury labs to find out why the collider exploded, then i found this flash drive underneath the control panel." Eric said rising the flash drive. "Then a meta-human attacked me. I think is the same own CCPD are trying to catch, because when i blasted an electric ball at him, it passed through him. He could fly and he is really, really fast. Almost as fast as me. He called himself, The Mist."
