This chapter doesn't need to be read!!!
To better organize the ideas, I made this chapter that explains, in a clearer and more direct way, the concepts of the series, such as worldbuilding, power system, social organization, etc.
If you've never read a cultivation novel and just stumbled into this, it's also a good way to get acquainted.
A good part of the ideas are already common, but they still have their own unique touch, so it's worth taking a look.
The World
The world of the series is completely flat — yes, we have a flat-earth webnovel. Imagine a flat core, and then imagine a circle surrounding it. Between this ring and the core, there is a barrier resembling a very strong, tangible wind.
The world of the series is composed of a core, surrounded by five circles. Between each circle lies the same type of barrier, preventing the zones from mixing.
This makes it difficult for the more dangerous flora and fauna from an inner circle to mix with those of an outer, weaker circle.
The core and the innermost circle have higher energy density, stronger gravity, and therefore a slower flow of time. Precious materials are more likely to appear in an inner ring than in an outer one.
Cultivation Realms:
The realms are divided into three main groups: Mortal Realms, Immortal Realms, and Divine Realms.
Each realm has three stages: Early, Middle, Peak.
Between ranks there is a bottleneck that is difficult to cross, but as a reward for breakthrough, your strength increases considerably.
Although there are no limits to the peak of power within a ring (review the world structure if you don't understand), after certain ranks it becomes practically impossible to progress without advancing to an inner ring.
Similarly, it is difficult for a higher power to invade an outer ring — but in both cases, it is never impossible.
Therefore, the maximum possible strength of an individual is tied to their location. If they wish to advance further, they must travel toward the world's center.
Example: A resident of the 5th ring can progress smoothly up to the peak of the second realm and may even breakthrough into the third realm, though with more difficulty. From this point, they must move into the 4th ring to continue cultivating.
Organizations:
On a large scale, the novel's world is divided between kingdoms and empires. On a smaller scale, it is divided between clans, sects and guilds.
A kingdom or empire supervises and sets the laws to be followed, while the true enforcement of those laws on a micro level is handled by them.
Divinities
The novel features a large number of deities, and much about their existence will be explained as the story unfolds. The most prominent goddess is Solaris, the Goddess of Contracts.
The Spiritual World:
This is the realm from which familiars and other spiritual beings come. They are generally hostile toward humans. These creatures are ranked according to their maturity: the first rank is Hatchling, followed by Adolescent, and so on.
However, most of them don't live long enough…
The spiritual world is divided according to the color of its sky, such as purple sky, black sky, and white sky… And that's all you need to know for now.
Familiars
The Mages, discovered some time ago that making a lifelong contract with a spirit brings many benefits, such as increased mana regeneration, expanded reserves, and improvements in the learning process.
According to them, having a familiar with great affinity can even make one instantly advance in rank without any effort.
Therefore, having a Familiar is essential and can basically determine your future.
