The mocking scoff echoed atop the roof as Lord Ravernor turned away from the edge, returning to his seat.
He passed the phone to the kneeling Van, ordering,
"Call up the rest of the High Lords and tell them to ignore the kids."
"They need a reality check on where they stand in this world, and that should teach them quickly enough."
