Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: The Journey Begins with a Bold First Step

The spring breeze felt like a soft, damp kiss.

Raindrops dotted the ground. Steam lazily rose from wet stones.

The pink glow of the sun bathed the walls of Chaldea Academy.

The white bricks, still slick from the rain, shimmered like an angel's smile.

Yinggu stood in front of the crowded auditorium. He was surrounded by Heroic Spirits wearing school uniforms—just like him.

His gaze fell to a puddle at his feet.

Reflected there was the vibrant spring campus. Cherry blossoms drifted in the air. Students rushed to class.

A fleeting glimpse of a skirt fluttered in the wind… and his own very ordinary high school face, round as a full moon.

He had traveled through time.

Not only that—he had arrived in the 21st century at a school full of Heroic Spirits.

It all supposedly started when he clicked on a shady Fate fan game.

Thinking it was a dream, he pinched his cheek hard.

"Hey, idiot! Why are you pinching me? Wanna fight?" Jeanne d'Arc Alter barked.

Wrong cheek. The warmth of Jeanne's face made it immediately clear: this was no dream.

She huffed and stormed off.

He was left to untangle his scrambled memories.

Jeanne also attended school with him, adding sarcasm and chaos to his days.

His parents were overseas. They had forced him to transfer to Chaldea Academy.

Despite the time travel, nothing felt strange.

It was almost like returning to a normal school day.

No Holy Grail Wars. No brutal Lostbelt battles.

Heroic Spirits simply went to class, chatted, and lived their school lives.

Then he noticed the keychain doll dangling from his bag.

Glowing letters appeared on it:

"This is a rift in time. A utopia of Heroic Spirits that should not exist. A world destined to be cut off."

He rubbed his eyes.

The words remained, visible only to him.

"Jeanne, do you see this?" he asked, pointing.

She gave him a sidelong glare.

"The only thing I see is your stupid face."

"…Right. Only I can see it," he muttered.

He slipped into the restroom to read the message in private.

"This is a rift in time… You are a player in this world filled with Heroic Spirits."

"Wait—what?! I'm still a player here?"

More warnings followed:

"Do not share this information with anyone. Do not wander at night unprepared. Complete your studies and socialize actively. Your grades and influence are the keys."

"Fail one subject, and you'll be expelled. GAME OVER."

It was a lot, but at least one thing was clear.

This world ran on game logic… and a school rom-com.

Another line appeared:

"Would you like to predict the future? Yes / No"

Curiosity won. He chose Yes.

"Choose two deduction skills."

Three Free Fails – Flunk three times without being expelled.

Clairvoyance C – Sharper memory and ability to peek at other students' answers.

Martial Training B – Better performance in gym class.

Intuition C – Instincts sharpen; dodge flying chalk, guess correctly more often.

High-Speed Divine Words A – Finish exams and homework in one sitting.

Yinggu hesitated.

He chose Intuition C and High-Speed Divine Words A.

Life Deduction Cube – Memories

Age 1 – Born into a middle-class family.

Age 4 – Entered Chaldea's Heroic Spirit Kindergarten.

Age 5 – Coaxed little Artoria into swinging a filthy mop like Excalibur to scare off spirits.

Skill gained: A Knight Does Not Die Empty-Handed C.

Age 9 – Nearly ended the Age of Gods with a single punch in grade school.

He taught senior Gilgamesh a lesson.

Skill gained: God Slayer B.

Age 11 – Almost defeated Beast III solo.

Age 12 – Encounter with Kiara Sesshōin:

She appeared as a mischievous older sister.

She invited him to her house in a suspiciously intimate tone:

"Come, I want to show you the Tower of Babylon… and teach you to climb the Dualong."

Yinggu's Intuition C screamed ALERT!

He decisively rejected her.

He called the police.

He asked the school to arrest this mischievous sister.

Kiara, still smiling, seemed to challenge his determination:

"I won't let 'Little Yinggu' lose his chance to fight!"

The police arrived.

They arrested her comically.

Her fame increased immediately:

"Report successful! Your reputation has significantly increased."

As Yinggu walked through the hallways of Chaldea Academy, he quickly realized what school life and comedy really meant here.

Classes were chaos. Floating soup in the cafeteria. Magic mishaps in classrooms. Heroic Spirits causing absurd accidents left and right.

His skills, Intuition C and High-Speed Divine Words A, were constantly put to the test.

He could dodge flying chalk, avoid magical explosions, and finish homework before anyone else.

His thoughts often turned meta:

"Divine Gold… how does a male protagonist wake special abilities after all these trials? Less than a chapter in, and I've already had enough ridiculous moments and clichés for a whole book."

At age 18, he entered Chaldea's Hero Academy with above-average grades.

Yinggu – Archer Class

Strength: B+ | Endurance: B | Agility: B+ | Luck: A | Mana: E

Skills: God Slayer B, Human Body Understanding A, Magecraft Release A, Empty-Handed Knight C, High-Speed Divine Words A, Intuition C

Noble Phantasm: None

"I guess that's just how it is," he sighed.

"I can't exactly fly to the Throne of Heroes for credits. Do they even have helicopters for that?"

The panel lit up again:

"To confirm your identity, begin formal deduction… Loading script…"
