How could anyone other than him activate the Chakra elevator?
He had put so much effort into designing such a complex entry and exit system. He had even played the role of a mole underground, just like the old Uchiha Madara, all to conceal himself. How could anyone else possibly find this place?
This was absolutely certain; the other party was definitely targeting him.
However, whether their intentions were good or bad was still uncertain.
Kyle quickly formed a dozen hand seals, mobilizing the Chakra within his body. After ensuring he could instantly cast Ninjutsu if needed, Kyle used his left hand to form a single seal and his right hand to grab a pistol from under the table, aiming it at the door.
Who said ninjas couldn't use modern weapons? "Times have changed, old man!"
The iron door of the hidden base slowly opened, and two figures appeared at the entrance.
They were greeted by a bullet that landed at their feet.
"State your intentions!" Kyle shouted, aiming the pistol at the intruders' heads.
Dumbledore gazed at Kyle's mismatched eyes, a familiar sight, and his own eyes moistened slightly.
When his gaze met Kyle's wary expression, Dumbledore's face became complicated for a moment, as if he wanted to speak but hesitated.
A child who had lived alone for five years must have suffered greatly.
However, when Dumbledore saw the living room's decor behind Kyle, the guilt in his heart eased a little. It seemed Kyle's living environment wasn't too bad.
Dumbledore's tone was gentle, trying to show his goodwill. "Child, don't be afraid, we mean no harm."
Kyle looked at the strange old man with the half-moon glasses in front of him, and the other old man behind him who had been facing away, and lowered his gun-wielding right hand slightly. "You're not here to arrest me?"
"No, child, we're here to take you with us." Dumbledore tried to step forward, but when he made a move, Kyle immediately took a half-step back, becoming alert.
Are you serious taking a half-step back? Such a small movement, yet the damage is so great...
Before figuring out what was going on, Kyle wouldn't give the other person a chance to get close.
What if this frail-looking old man was some kind of taijutsu master who could unleash the Eight Gates? Besides, anyone who could get in and out of this place using his method definitely wasn't ordinary.
"Take me where?" Kyle asked, confused.
Dumbledore nodded. "You, child, are a wizard."
A wizard...
What? A wizard!?
Kyle was stunned. His confusion deepened.
He was a ninja! When did he become associated with the profession of wizard? It didn't make any sense!
This old man couldn't even come up with a decent excuse to try and trick him.
Wait a minute…
A white-bearded old man!?
A wizard!?
It's you! Gandalf the Grey!
Kyle sized up the old man in front of him, but he didn't see a staff in one hand and a sword in the other.
Kyle asked hesitantly, "What's your name?"
"My name is Albus Dumbledore, and I am the headmaster of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry in Britain."
Dumbledore pointed to the old man beside him, who had been avoiding eye contact since they arrived, "This is Newt Scamander, a renowned magizoologist in the wizarding world."
Dumbledore…
The room fell silent.
Kyle: Damn it!
Aren't these the characters from the movie Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone that he watched in his previous life?
When he transmigrated, the remastered version of the movie had only just been released.
While surfing the internet, he saw Harry Potter fans everywhere enthusiastically discussing it. Bored, he downloaded it and watched it.
He'd forgotten most of the movie's plot, but he still remembered the names of the three main characters: Harry Potter, Albus Dumbledore, and the villain Voldemort.
As for Newt Scamander…
Who was that? Never heard of him.
But since he could say the name Albus Dumbledore, it meant the other person wasn't trying to fool him.
It was 1991. Kyle wasn't sure when the first book in the Harry Potter series was published, but it definitely wasn't out yet.
Except for J.K. Rowling herself, no one in this world could pronounce Dumbledore's name.
Kyle, having slightly lowered his guard, tossed his pistol aside but still kept his Chakra flowing, ensuring he could instantly use Ninjutsu.
Then, he politely invited the two into the living room.
Although somewhat surprised by Kyle's change in attitude, Dumbledore didn't dwell on it. He slowly began, "I presume you're aware that you possess abilities beyond the ordinary. Hogwarts is a school dedicated to educating young wizards and witches like yourself, those with magical talent."
Wait a minute, a problem arose.
Why would a British magic school come to America to recruit students?
This was New York, America!
Magic school… Didn't America have one?
It couldn't be that only Britain had a magic school, right?
Other countries should have them too.
So, if that's the case, shouldn't the school recruiting him be the Konoha Ninja Academy from Japan?
Another question: Kyle had always thought the energy flowing through his body was Chakra. Now, it seemed like he'd been mistaken, right?
But why could he still perform the Ninjutsu from his memories by forming hand seals?
Puzzled, Kyle temporarily set aside his confusion about Chakra and magic. He asked, "Why is Hogwarts in Britain recruiting me? Isn't there a magic school here in America?"
Newt ignored his question and took out an old-fashioned pocket watch from his pocket, glancing at it.
The hands pointed to three in the morning.
"I think you should leave now. The Aurors from the American Ministry of Magic will be here soon," Newt said.
"Now? Wait a minute, what about all my stuff? And what are Aurors? I'm not going anywhere until you explain things!"
Seeing Kyle's wary expression, Dumbledore sighed helplessly and began to explain:
"Aurors, in your Muggle world, are essentially what you call the police. Oh, and by the way, Muggles are those who can't use magic."
"The American Ministry of Magic wants to catch you," Dumbledore explained simply to Kyle.
Then, he took out his wand and tapped the teapot on the table in front of them, saying, "Mentos."
The teapot trembled for a moment, emitting a strange blue light before gradually settling down and turning black again.
"What do Aurors want? To catch me? I'm a law-abiding citizen!" Kyle said, somewhat surprised.
Dumbledore looked at the open safe not far away with a half-smile. "Law-abiding citizen? Where did all that money come from?"
"This, this, this... Who put so much money in my safe? This is on purpose..."
Dumbledore cut off Kyle's clumsy performance. "They want to catch you because of your father."
"Alright, if we delay any longer, the Aurors will arrive. Put your hand on the teapot; we'll use the Portkey to go to Britain. I'll explain everything once we get there."
"Then, I wish you both a safe journey." Newt stood in place, waving at them. He clearly had no intention of going to Hogwarts with them.
"Farewell, Newt." In the next second, Dumbledore activated the Portkey.
Kyle felt as if a hook was behind his navel, suddenly jerking him forward with irresistible force. His feet left the ground, and he flew forward like a gust of wind, unable to see anything clearly.
Fortunately, this unpleasant feeling quickly disappeared.
The moment his feet touched the ground, the blurry view in Kyle's eyes instantly transformed into a clear, majestic castle.
The momentum of the Portkey almost made him fall flat on his face.
Fortunately, after five years of training in body techniques, his movements were agile. He rolled to absorb the impact and quickly stood up, beginning to survey the scene before him.
The sprawling mountains encircled a massive castle, which stood beside a vast lake shimmering under the morning sun. Occasionally, a shadowy, enormous tentacle would emerge from the water.
"Is this where I'll be going to school?!" Kyle exclaimed in awe.
Dumbledore smiled and nodded. "Welcome to Hogwarts."
