In this world there is magic it's common knowledge and anyone can use it. However as expected there are those who abuse it. To counter these people the Magic Council was formed as a force to protect the weaker people. Although everyone had Magic not everyone could control or utilize them. These people usually resort to learning weapon skills which take less mana or control to use. Though there was a man who would change the fate of the world. It all started when he was just a young orphan who was found by a man. This man was a mercenary maned Alden Aura he took in the young orphan and gave him a name. Lance that's what he called him the boy soon trained under Alden and by 10 became a mercenary. Alden would only take on simple missions to get Lance accustomed to mercenary life.
Then came Lances 13th Alden gave Lance a custom made sword however as Lance grew older he no longer needed a weapon. He had an abundance of mana and absolute control of his Ice magic. Lance would soon become the youngest mercenary to terrorize any battlefield by 15 he was nicknamed Frozen Death. Alden and Lance became well known throughout the Continent of Flores as the most influential mercenaries. Everyone knew their names and their small group of mercenaries however all good things come to an end eventually.
Their fame grew so large some became jealous and other saw them as a threat. Especially the magic Council they had sent out a group known as A.M.A.S or Anti Magic assault squad. A elite unit that serves the council and carries out all the tough and dangerous tasks. They confronted Alden when Lance was away and an intense battle erupted within the town of Gorted. Alden managed to kill three of the 6 men but eventually was killed. Lance having heard news about the movements of A.M.A.S rushed over. However it was too late Alden was dead along with a few of the other mercenary with him. Lance and the rest of the mercenary were in shock Alden the man who took them all in under his wing. Was laying on the ground covered in his own blood Lance dropped to his knees.
He cried and cried and the other places their arms on his shoulder. Then he stopped and looked up he stood up and faced the men and he declared "As of today I hereby take command of the Aura Mercenary group and my sir name will be Aura". Lance who had not had a family name took his foster father's family name declaring himself as Lance Aura. That day he swore vengeance on the Magic council and anyone who supported the corrupted government. The continent declared them as a villain organization and all their fame and respect was gone.
