Chapter 59 - Chapter 59

Hiratsuka Shizuka froze, her eyes widening in shock. A strange, disorienting feeling washed over her, leaving her momentarily speechless.

Seeing her hesitation, Gojo realized she couldn't perceive what was truly happening. His talisman wasn't just a tool for isolating spiritual energy—it also rendered them invisible to other "mystical" observers.

With a subtle movement of his hand, a trace of his curse energy flowed into Hiratsuka's body, merging with her perception.

Instantly, her vision shifted drastically.

The classroom transformed.

Every desk and chair remained the same, but the air was now swarming with countless small black spheres, each moving like restless flies. They swarmed around, darting and spinning erratically—

At the center, Oga Haruto's body was encircled by even more of these tiny, ghostly, cursed spirit.

"T-this… what is this!?" Shizune stammered, panic creeping into her voice.

Gojo's calm, teasing tone cut through the tension, and reach her, "Don't worry. They're just little Kegare (Filth) . Harmless… for now. No need to panic."

Shizuka exhaled, steadying herself. Raising her head, she glanced at Gojo and whispered, "How is this different from the first time I encountered such a presence?"

Gojo's eyes sparkled with mild amusement.

"Back then, you were caught in the wilderness of calamity, hunted. Now… Haruto is possessed by a demon, but it's contained, at least for the moment."

"Demon… possessed?" Shizuka's pupils constricted.

Gojo nodded casually. "Exactly. Just a demon. Nothing I can't handle."

Hiratsuka quickly reconciled the concept.

Over the past half-year, she had witnessed youkai, filth, onmyoji, and otherworldly phenomena—demons were nothing shocking anymore.

(Note: Just for everyone, the conversation is not heard by anyone else)

.....

Meanwhile, Haruto trembled violently. His mind repeated a desperate mantra:

'Don't… don't… don't…!'

His face twisted with frustration and fear as he spat out the last words, then—without warning—he leaped through the fourth-floor window.

"Ah!"

"Don't!"

"Ohaga-kun!"

The classroom erupted into chaos.

Everyone froze, staring at the empty window frame. Below, there was nothing—just the distance to the ground.

Jumping from here was almost certainly fatal.

Mafuyu Kirisu and Hiratsuka Shizuka raced to the window, hearts in their throats, only to see… nothing.

"Escaped?" Gojo murmured, raising an eyebrow.

The demon energy he sensed in Haruto had vanished.

The inhibition power within Haruto's body had successfully suppressed the demons gradually awakening inside him.

Even in mid-leap, his body had neutralized the threat.

Bored, Gojo released his aura, dispersing all lingering little devils in the classroom.

With a casual wave, he turned and left—almost invisible to the students still preoccupied with the commotion.

.....

Walking down the empty corridor, Gojo did not return to his class.

Instead, he headed toward the principal's office, intending to ensure no further incidents occurred.

The boy's demonic tendencies were unpredictable—if left unchecked, he could create more trouble.

By one o'clock in the afternoon, Sobu High School issued a temporary early release notice — All teachers and students were dismissed, and club activities were canceled to prevent further accidents.

Inside the teacher's office,

Hiratsuka Shizuka glanced nervously at Gojo, who sipped his coffee with an air of calm detachment.

"Satoru… are you really planning to wait for that… demon to show up?" she asked.

"Yes," he replied matter-of-factly, a faint grin tugging at his lips. "If I don't, controlling him for the rest of the day will be impossible."

Shizuka's expression was a mix of exasperation and admiration. "You…"

"Don't worry," Gojo interrupted casually.

His tone suggested he was completely unbothered.

"It's… but…" Shizuka hesitated, worried, before her words were cut off by Gojo leaning closer.

He gently pressed his lips against hers.

Pale blue eyes staring at her widen black eyes, then softened as he withdrew, letting out a small, teasing smile.

After a brief pause, she ran her hands along his cheeks, her voice serious.

"I know you're strong, Saturo… but please be careful. After all, I don't want Onmyoji Gojo—just Gojo Saturo, who spends time with me every day."

"Don't worry, Shizuka," he replied lightly, his tone teasing. "It's just a little devil. Nothing I can't handle."

Shizuka's worry eased slightly, but she still kept a careful eye on him.

"If something happens, send me a message."

"Got it," Gojo replied.

After which she gently ruffled his white hair, a small smile softening her face.

"Are you treating me like a child?" he joked, eyes glinting.

"Children need care," she replied teasingly. "Milk, food… attention."

"Climb, crawl, run—I'm gone," he said with a laugh.

The office filled with laughter and lighthearted chatter, the tension easing. Gojo returned to his coffee, still keeping one eye on the world outside.

.....

Meanwhile, Umaru Gojo called, letting him know she would be returning a little later. Her tone carried a hint of concern, warning him to be careful.

Gojo rolled his eyes.

'Really? They treat me like some fragile kid.'

By five o'clock in the afternoon, Gojo was tapping a coffee spoon against his cup, bored.

"That kid… shouldn't he be looking for someone already?" he muttered to himself.

For the past four hours, he had stayed on school grounds, waiting for Haruto to resurface.

Gojo's plan was simple: track the demonic aura, contain it, and guide it back safely.

Normally, he could detect any demonic energy instantly, almost like a GPS.

Yet now, there was no trace of demonic aura anywhere—not at school, nor in the surrounding city. Haruto's energy seemed to have vanished entirely.

Shrugging, Gojo decided to give up the wait. "Forget it… might as well get some dessert." He yawned, preparing to leave.

But then, a subtle shift in the western sky caught his attention. His expression darkened.

"Already…? I just stepped out, and he's already stirring," he muttered.

A faint, malevolent aura appeared in the west, spreading like a wildfire under the night sky, impossible to ignore.

Gojo's lips curved into a small, amused grin. "Well then… looks like the fun's just beginning."
