Lan Mengqin examined the teleportation anchor, turning it over with her hands with growing curiosity. This thing didn't look anything like a teleportation device to her.
"How do you use this?"
Lan Mengqin turned to Gu Xun with a puzzled look. Seeing this, Gu Xun offered an explanation.
"You need authorization to use it."
"Oh, I see. I was really curious about it. If it requires permission, then I probably can't use it, right?"
"Pretty much."
Gu Xun nodded in agreement. Currently, Lan Mengqin was just a human. Taking her to Spirit Star wasn't ideal, so Gu Xun temporarily abandoned the idea of bringing her there.
"So, are you heading home now?"
Lan Mengqin looked at Gu Xun and asked. He nodded, and she felt a pang of disappointment.
"If you lived on campus, I could come find you for late-night snacks. Too bad..."
Lan Mengqin recalled that the food Gu Xun made enhanced cultivation efficiency. She desperately wanted to eat one at night to boost her training effectiveness by 20% for three hours straight.
But eating during the day meant rushing to class afterward, wasting precious time. Just then, Lan Mengqin had a brilliant idea.
"Gu Xun, stay in my dorm!"
She grabbed his hand, eager to have him share her room. Both Gu Xun and Dong Qianqiu froze, their minds momentarily blank.
Noticing their puzzled expressions, Lan Mengqin realized her mistake and quickly shook her head.
"I didn't mean it like that! I meant... would you like to spend the night in my dorm?"
Gu Xun and Dong Qianqiu looked at her with even more bewildered expressions. Feeling their stares, Lan Mengqin's cheeks instantly flushed crimson.
"I really didn't mean it that way! I just wanted to grab a late-night snack! Stop looking at me like that! Aaah!"
Her face flushed bright red as she covered her face and fled in embarrassment. Gu Xun and Dong Qianqiu watched her retreating figure, then exchanged a glance.
"Gu Xun, Sister Mengqin probably just doesn't know how to express herself, so..."
"I know. Just a late-night snack. We'll talk about it next time. I'm heading home."
"Okay, see you later."
After bidding each other farewell, Dong Qianqiu and Gu Xun returned to their respective homes. When Gu Xun arrived home, Yuanen Huihui and Di Qiu'er were also settling in for the night.
Yuanen Huihui was swinging on the swing, while Di Qiu'er lay sprawled on the sofa, her skirt riding up slightly.
"Oh dear, could you be a little more ladylike?"
Gu Xun sighed helplessly, reaching out to smooth Di Qiu'er's skirt down to prevent any accidental exposure.
"Brother, why did you come back so late tonight? Did you find another little kitty out there?"
Seeing Gu Xun return, Di Qiu'er abruptly sat up and turned to question him.
"No, I just had a longer practical class."
"Really? Brother, you truly didn't sneak off to find other little kitties behind Qiu'er's back?"
Di Qiu'er eyed Gu Xun suspiciously. His expression darkened instantly, and he tapped her forehead lightly.
She yelped in pain, clutching her head as her eyes began to glaze over.
"Brother, you hit me!"
"Who taught you to talk like that? Keep it up, and I'll tap you again."
"I learned it from Aunt Zi Ji, hehe!"
Di Qiu'er immediately began acting cute and spoiled, trying to charm her way out of trouble. Gu Xun gave her a cold stare.
"One more word, and you lose all your snacks for this month!"
"Waaah! Brother, I'm sorry! Don't do this!"
Upon hearing Gu Xun threaten to withhold all her monthly snacks, Di Qiu'er wailed pitifully. Gu Xun ignored her cries and went straight to his room to rest.
After bathing, Gu Xun dried himself with soul power before settling onto his bed.
This afternoon's combat training had left him exhausted, and he wanted to rest early.
Just then, the sound of a door latch turning reached his ears. But Gu Xun had locked the door; whoever it was couldn't get in.
Sure enough, after several failed attempts, the person turning the latch gave up.
Seeing this, Gu Xun closed his eyes, ready to sleep. The next moment, the window suddenly opened. He lifted his head slightly and saw a slender, silver-clad figure.
"Na'er, what are you doing?"
Gu Xun asked, glancing at Gu Yue Na, who looked rather sneaky. She froze for a moment before immediately switching to an expectant smile as she looked at him.
"Father, would you like Na'er to sleep with you?"
Gu Xun's eye twitched at her request. Seriously? Why are you so persistent?
"No, I can sleep on my own."
"Father, are you sure you don't need Nana to sleep with you?"
At this, Gu Yuena immediately moved closer, fixing him with a pitiful expression in a bid to tug at his heartstrings.
"No, I don't. I'm this old and you want me to sleep with you? How embarrassing is that?"
Gu Xun sensed something deeply off about Gu Yue Na. The way she looked at him day after day felt utterly wrong.
"Fine... Goodnight, Father."
Gu Yue Na could only slump her shoulders and climb out the window. Gu Xun stared at the wide-open window, speechless.
The Next Day
When Gu Xun returned to class, Lan Mengqin seemed to have forgotten yesterday's awkwardness, sitting down directly beside him.
"Gu Xun, we have self-study this afternoon. Want to join me in the virtual world to earn Douluo Coins?"
Lan Mengqin looked at Gu Xun inquiringly. Dong Qianqiu also sat down nearby. Gu Xun tilted his head slightly at her words.
"Douluo Coins?"
