Chapter 11 - Yeah, they talk now

Luke looked up in bewilderment, heck, more in astonishment if anything. He had always known his luck was rather lacking lately, but he always managed to find time to pray to his patrons and kept his gift refined. He would never disrespect all might beings, especially knowing how much they could screw him over, so where did it go wrong?

He looked around for a moment, comically looking back up, shaking in a bit of fear, "Hey, uhh….are you sure you're the one who spoke just now? I'm not getting a telepathic communication from somewhere else, right?" The giant only looked down "No, you have not gone mad, it is indeed I who you are speaking to." Luke sighed, "Seriously, I think some god has it out for me at this point. There is no way I'm getting fucked over sideways like this."The giant looked down, pitying the ant below it. It was quite disgraceful that he had to do this, but the vile wretch left him no other choice. However, as it was preparing an attack, the ant seemed to wisp out of sight, as a vast fog seemed to manifest where the ant once was. It looked around hastily, but the area seemed to be an obscure mess; for some reason the ground shifted into an ocean of clouds as the fog grew. "You are quite clever for a lowly wre-"Suddenly, the giant felt a powerful impact from its other leg, a cracking sound booming across the plains. A short yelp could be heard as the giant spotted the tiny ant as it seemed to cradle its bleeding hand.

"God fuck, you're so much fucking harder ass hole, if you're going to make it easy for me to kill you, at least soften up a bit." The giant looked in stunned silence as it started to topple over, one of its legs completely collapsing. Luke smiled as he crouched, placing his unbroken hand on the ground "Alright, fine, you can talk, but let's be honest, your intelligence is second-rate compared to mine, so why don't you stop spouting shit and start worrying about how you're making out of this alive?" In an instant, vines shot out from the ground as they wrapped around the giant's stable leg, completely collapsing the titan's base.

Luke then swiftly propelled to the side to attack the arms; however, the giant's eyes glimmered once again, as purple rays pressed Luke to the ground. Luke grunted as he dissolved into the ground as a splash of blood, falling endlessly through the thick ground. "that little shit's ability is going to be fucking annoying, come on Kirin, where the hell are ya, if your not quick the entire operation will go to shit, I can't let him recover" Luke's mind raced through possible theories, combinations, plans, all engrained when he was a boy, but nothing helped. The giant, while prideful, wasn't a fool; it would soon leave if it saw that its prey wouldn't bite anymore. Luke could only stay under and pray that the cavalry would arrive as he had hoped. And in almost a cruel stroke of luck, it had come.Luke heard a thundering roar as the ground shook, rattling his body until he leapt out of the ground. Crashing back down and rolling back until he slammed into a tree. He spat blood, looking up as he smirked, "Oh fuck off, did you have to take so long!"In the sky above, a blue-haired elf sucking a lollipop could be seen, flying above wreckage on a pink panther with a black-haired woman. Sighing, the boy pulled back his hair and tied it into a ponytail "What a pest…"

..................................................................Noa looked in confusion, in awe, in astonishment. This whole dream was absurd, but it wasn't implausible. Noa didn't really know much about Luke; his past was more of a mystery, not that he cared about Luke's past much. Although, to think someone could use their gift even when it became accursed, it was absurd. He watched as the two boys fought, each giving it their all. He saw his younger self swatting away the elemental strikes that Luke threw at him, but the snow started ploughing up, restricting his movements. The younger Luke then smirked as he launched himself towards the childish Noa, grazing swiftly past his shoulder while dodging a swift slash to the neck. They both came to a swift halt, Luke stumbling back a bit. "Ahh, I'm sure that one got ya, huh?" the younger Luke noted, cockily turning back until he saw the boy completely unaffected, seemingly dusting off a bit of snow from his puffy yukata. Luke looked in astonishment, dropping his mouth "H-hey, hold on, I definitely touched your shoulder, how the hell are you not affected?" The boy looked at him in confusion, shrugging, still not saying a word to his adversary. Luke grimaced, "Oh, screw off, you got a forcefield now, that's cheating", he says as they circled around each other a bit. Noa sighed as he palmed his face. The whole skirmish was a bit too childish for two children trying to genuinely kill each other. "god, if I knew I was this emo as a kid, I would have just killed myself already". Suddenly, a chilling sensation could be felt in the air, as Noa's hair stood up, goosebumps spreading across his skin. He looked back up, a horrifying realization arose as he saw hid younger self grip the pristine Odachi. He could see that the boy's after a while was in a rough shape. The younger Noa had surprisingly a few cuts and bruises, something he had initially thought was impossible. Luke, unsurprisingly, was bleeding all over due to previous injuries, but he stood strong. Noa shivered, however, knowing what his younger self was about to do. Noa had only remembered using the true power of the Odachi once, and after that, he vowed never to use it again. It was a chaotic and brutal force that spared nobody, even its own wielder, so Noa would only use it if he needed to kill someone, so why is he using it now? He couldn't….he couldn't actually want to kill Luke….could he? Noa stumbled back in horror. His hands shook, bones trembling, his world spinning in circles. It couldn't ever be this far, the thought of using that shook him, the one thing he truly feared to even grasp, and Noa saw himself wield it against the person he thought of as a friend, almost a brother in fact. Why, why was he sent to kill him? Why was he here in the first place? The word why kept echoing in his mind as he weakily struggled to get up. It was then that the younger Noa took a deep breath. As he gripped the hilt of his blade, he slowly grazed his hand over it, uttering only a few words, and before the younger Luke could even process the moment, everything froze, and a violent wave of snow appeared, thrashing Noa to the ground.Noa woke up on the floor with mud, feeling a crushing sensation in his diaphragm. His eyes were wide as he looked around. He saw Luke with a bloody hand, a few cuts, and chewing a toothpick. Luke looked back, smirking, Hey, sleepy head, missed all the fun. The giants are dead, thankfully everyons is alive, although a few are in worse shape, especially Andre, think he'll be in the hospital for a few days getting scolded by Eidra. Anyways, come on, we gotta get back to iron and the others.....................................................................Andre grimaced as he sat uncomfortably in the makeshift canon. He could only dread what the abominations' insides would have. "Yo, what's taking y'all so long? It shouldn't be this hard to get a big, bumbling idiot to stay in one place." He sighed. Who was he kidding? Giants were usually forces of nature, unstoppable beings that could decimate towns in mere seconds; the fact that they were up against one was absurd. However, he was sure they had a good possibility; the boss always seemed right on the money, usually, so if they had a chance, a lot of people believed so too. Suddenly, heavy footsteps could be heard, and easily recognised Iron's voice. "Sorry, Ms Mayella, plans have gone south. The Giant veered off course. Currently, Luke and the others are slowing it down, but with how the situation is, I don't think we'll be able to launch Andre through this." Ariana sighed, "I thought so, I knew it was taking a bit longer than expected. Are the others safe?" Iron nodded, "Yes, but we need to act with haste, Andre, get your ass out of there." Andre sighed as stuffed, squeezing out of the tight spot, he pouted, falling to the ground, "So y'all had me in that hole...for nothing." Iron smirked, "No, I'm sure it was fun hearing you complain, anyway", he quickly picked up Ms Mayella and Andre, bolting them to another piece of land. After a few gigantic leaps, they ended up on a plateau, looking at the distance of the giant's torso swinging madly, trying to catch a blue-haired elf and his cohort raining lightning strikes. Iron then looked to the duke's daughter, sighing, "Ms Mayella, what is your gift exactly?" Ariana looked a bit confused "Umm, I can bless or diminish gifts if that's what you need right now." Iron smiles as he then looks back at Andre, "Hey bud, I'm sure you liked getting thrown right..."Andre looked at him with utter dread, skimering away, "Hey, hey, hold on, I trust a cannon, not you!" He yelped as he started crawling away. Iron grinned as he slowly walked up to him, then swiftly grabbed his ankle, looking to Ariana was "Your highness, if you may..." She gulped as she took Iron's hand, sighing and closing her eyes, she chanted a calming melody, as Iron felt a rush of power. A golden light enveloped Iron's body, as he smirked, he spun andre around. Using his ferocious might, he charged a titanic launch, letting go at the edge of the plateau and flinging Andre several hundred feet into the air. As Ariana looked in horror as he shouted, "he's going to die like that!" Iron looked at her, confused, "Oh, uhm....Ms Mayella, don't worry, he already has a countermeasure to that, plus, you'll find out that I have surprisingly good aim." Ariana looked in confusion, "how!? We aren't using the afegty we had in the canon?" Iron chuckled, "oh uhmm...well, he doesn't need that to be honest, you see he can actually well….fly"
