"Transfer to Shrek Academy?"
Zhou Sidong looked at Yu Xiaogang's malicious smile and instantly felt the urge to punch him.
This guy once blocked him outside the academy gate, shamelessly preaching how great and advanced Shrek was—only to have Zhou Sidong tear apart every one of his claims.
From that moment, Yu Xiaogang completely held a grudge against Zhou Sidong.
Not only did the kid embarrass him in front of his disciple, he even exposed his lies face-to-face. He lost face, lost credibility.
Now that Zhou Sidong had become strong, Yu Xiaogang couldn't help but try to rope him in.
Zhou Sidong had seen shameless people, but someone as shameless as Yu Xiaogang? First time.
Bibi Dong followed not far behind Zhou Sidong, listening closely to their conversation.
Because when she saw Yu Xiaogang tailing her son, Bibi Dong was genuinely afraid something would happen to Zhou Sidong. The child had already died once—now that he was alive again, she worried constantly about his safety, so she followed to see what was going on.
"Master—no, Yu Xiaogang—there are some things I need to make clear to you face-to-face."
Zhou Sidong's tone was hard, giving Yu Xiaogang zero face.
"You—"
Yu Xiaogang froze slightly. He hadn't expected Zhou Sidong to be so disrespectful.
Fine then—if the kid wouldn't give face, then he wouldn't either.
"Zhou Sidong, mind your attitude. I am your elder after all. Didn't your parents teach you to respect your elders?" Yu Xiaogang stood with his hands behind his back, scolding tone fully loaded.
"Oh? You're not Yu Xiaogang? Or have you gotten so used to being called 'Master' that you forgot your own surname and name?"
Zhou Sidong's sentence made Yu Xiaogang's expression twist instantly.
"Zhou Sidong, what do you mean by that? You picking a fight on purpose?" Yu Xiaogang questioned angrily.
"Picking a fight?" Zhou Sidong sneered. "Weren't you the one who came picking first? A weasel wishing a chicken 'Happy New Year' — no good intentions.
Let me ask you: when I was six and you wanted me to take you as my teacher, what was your real goal?"
"Hmph!"
Yu Xiaogang snorted coldly, extremely dissatisfied with Zhou Sidong's attitude. "Of course it was because of your talent. If you weren't born with level eight innate soul power, how would you have caught my attention?"
His tone was arrogant to the extreme.
"Bullshit."
"You—you dare curse me?!" Yu Xiaogang shouted angrily, brows flaring.
Zhou Sidong continued, "Ask your heart: do you feel no guilt? Back then, you only wanted to use me as a whetstone—something for your disciple to sharpen himself on. Use me to pave the way for him. And you wanted to use those useless 'research notes' you've spent over a decade on to turn me into an experimental subject. Tell me, am I wrong?"
Yu Xiaogang's palms began sweating. He had thought those things back then—but how could Zhou Sidong know so clearly? Did he read minds?
"Even if that's true—so what?"
"Xiao San's talent is better than yours. His future achievements will only surpass yours, never be inferior. You're born with level eight soul power, so what? How can you compare to someone with innate full soul power?
Using you as an experiment subject is an honor for you. When Xiao San becomes a Titled Douluo in the future, you'll benefit too!"
Yu Xiaogang finally snapped and spilled the truth. With only him and Zhou Sidong present, he wasn't worried anyone else would know.
Standing not far behind, Bibi Dong's brows tightened, chest rising sharply. She realized she'd truly been blind back then—deceived by this hypocrite. She'd been utterly lovestruck.
"Pa! Pa!"
Two crisp slaps pulled Bibi Dong back from her thoughts.
Two fiery red palm prints appeared on Yu Xiaogang's face.
Zhou Sidong turned and left without even looking back. Before stepping out, he coldly said:
"One slap is for the me back then. The second is for the me now.Remember this, Yu Xiaogang — you are not worthy to be anyone's teacher, least of all Tang San's."
Yu Xiaogang stood frozen for half a minute. When he finally reacted, Zhou Sidong was already far away.
"Sssss…"
He sucked in a few cold breaths, teeth clenched from the pain. Watching Zhou Sidong's distant figure, a trace of resentment and killing intent surged in his eyes.
"Today's humiliation—I, Yu Xiaogang, will repay in the future! Just wait for Xiao San to take revenge for me!"
Fuming, Yu Xiaogang stormed off.
As he walked, someone appeared in front of him.
Without a single word—slap!
A powerful palm smashed across his face.
Yu Xiaogang spun like a kite whose string had snapped, turning twice mid-air before falling face-first onto the ground.
Bibi Dong, wearing a veil, wiped her hand with disgust. Today was only interest—the deception of the past, and the injustice toward her son—she would reclaim it all.
She left, leaving behind a stunned, dazed Yu Xiaogang sitting on the ground.
"What did I ever do to deserve this…? Can someone tell me?"
His head buzzed. Being slapped by Zhou Sidong was one thing—but now random people could walk up and hit him? Wasn't he supposed to be the 'Master'?
He looked up—whoever hit him was long gone.
Appearing without a trace, disappearing without a sound—mysterious beyond reason.
"Damn it! Don't let me find you, or else I'll make you pay!"
Yu Xiaogang clenched his fists. Three bright, obvious handprints burned on his face. Returning like this would only embarrass him.
He lowered his head and walked quickly away.
Night fell. Starlight glittered.
After finishing the team battle, Zhou Sidong returned early to his residence.
Right as he reached the door, his steps halted.
Someone had opened his room door.
Since arriving in Soto City, he developed a habit of placing a tiny slip of paper in the door gap. Now, it was gone.
Someone had been inside—or someone was inside right now.
"Xiaoxue, check if anyone is in my room. Is it my mother?"
Zhou Sidong asked silently in his heart.
Xiaoxue's voice echoed in his mind:
"It is indeed your mother. Go in quickly. She's alone—and she's cleaning your room."
Knowing who it was, Zhou Sidong couldn't stop his smile from rising. His heartbeat sped up. His right hand trembled on the doorknob.
Although he had seen his mother six years ago, that was the parallel world mother—who only had Qian Renxue as a daughter, no son named Zhou Sidong.
But here—behind this door—was his real, biological mother.
Inside the room—
Bibi Dong was tidying Zhou Sidong's room. Before going to the Great Spirit Arena, Zhou Sidong had turned the place upside down. He planned to clean later—but clearly, Bibi Dong came early.
"You little brat, grown so big yet still making your mother worry. Look at this messy room."
She teased gently while sorting his clothes, finally lifting them to her face, inhaling her son's scent—something she hadn't experienced for twelve years.
She thought she'd never have the chance again. But fate had mercy.
Her son was alive.
Just then—
Click—
The door opened.
Bibi Dong turned. Her son stood there, cheeks slightly red, eyes moist.
She suddenly remembered—they hadn't truly met for twelve years. Earlier they'd only seen each other from afar through a window.
But this time—she stepped into his room.
Though he recognized Xiaoxue and knew he had a mother, he had never actually seen her until now.
She imagined a warm, gentle reunion.
But instead—
"Mom—"
The long-lost word hit her like lightning.
Bibi Dong trembled. The clothes in her hands slipped to the floor.
Did… did her son just call her "Mom"?
"You… what did you just call me?"
Her eyes reddened, hoping he'd repeat it.
"Mom—"
This time he said it loudly. Thankfully, the Huangdou Battle Team wasn't back yet—no one else heard.
"Sidong!"
Bibi Dong completely lost control. For the first time in her life, she cried.
She hugged him tightly, holding him in her arms. Her hands brushed over the "Dong" character she had carved herself onto him back then, and the amethyst hair tie tied behind his head—the very items she had buried with him.
Her son wasn't dead. He was alive—well and whole.
This moment was the happiest she'd been in decades.
Twelve years of despair—now twelve years later, joy.
Right now, she wasn't the Pope. She was simply a mother who had regained her child.
Time passed quietly. Zhou Sidong remained in her arms for half a quarter-hour.
"Mom… could you loosen a bit? I'm almost suffocating."
"Oh!"
She finally snapped out of it—she had hugged too tightly.
"Son, did Mommy hurt you?"
"No. Your son is thick-skinned."
He smiled. The embrace reminded him of his meeting with his parallel-world mother six years ago.
Was she… missing him now?
"You little rascal."
She rubbed his head affectionately and sat with him on the bed.
"Son, how did you recognize Mom at first sight? I was worried we'd have an awkward misunderstanding."
She smiled. In her memory, her son had been unconscious since birth—heartbeat but never waking.
When she injected Qian Xunji's origin of life into him, even that heartbeat stopped—that was the truth behind why she buried him.
That powerful origin energy had forced Zhou Sidong's soul into deep sleep, and Xiaoxue absorbed part of the source. That created the illusion of death.
"Big Sis showed me your portrait before. That's how I recognized you."
Mentioning Qian Renxue stirred mixed emotions in Bibi Dong.
"To meet you, Mom cleared half a year of work in advance. So for these six months, you must keep me company—and make up for the lost years."
She hugged him possessively again.
Warmth filled the room. Zhou Sidong buried his head into her embrace.
Meanwhile—
Shrek Academy Hotel
Yu Xiaogang returned with his head down. Both cheeks swollen, three clearly distinct handprints—two shallow from Zhou Sidong, one deep from Bibi Dong.
"Xiaogang, thank heavens you're back! Xiao Wu can walk a little now—Xiaogang?"
Flender hurried to share the good news.
In his mind, Yu Xiaogang knelt before Xiao Wu earlier out of guilt.
But Yu Xiaogang didn't care. Today he'd been mentally crushed.
Exposed by Zhou Sidong. Slapped by some unknown person. Criticized publicly by San Yue Zhi Dong days ago.
His fragile ego had shattered.
He sat silently, contemplating life.
"Xiaogang—your face?"
Flender finally noticed the handprints.
"Xiaogang! Who hit you? They dare hit someone from Shrek? They're courting death!"
Shrek had been hit with misfortune for days. Seeing his best brother beaten, Flender burned with rage.
Under repeated questioning, Yu Xiaogang snapped:
"Zhou Sidong!"
"Him?!"
Flender knew the name—Yu Xiaogang had ranted drunkenly about Zhou Sidong the first night he arrived.
"He insulted Shrek. Described it as worthless. Didn't respect me at all!"
Flender stood up. "Where is he? I'll go teach him a lesson right now!"
"Don't bother. He's long gone."
Yu Xiaogang wanted Zhou Sidong dead. Since Nording Academy, the kid had been rebellious—always doing the opposite of what he instructed.
Now the brat was grown, wings hardened—daring to insult him, just like San Yue Zhi Dong.
Trash like them didn't deserve to live.
Yu Xiaogang thought bitterly.
"Oh right—Zhou Sidong is a member of the Huangdou Battle Team."
Flender froze. Then sighed.
"Then it's simple.
Xiaogang, I'm stepping out. Go visit Xiao Wu and Xiao San later."
He left the hotel, heading toward Qin Ming's place—planning to seek justice.
But halfway—
Whoosh—
A black snakeskin bag dropped from the sky, engulfing Flender entirely. A sharp strike hit the back of his head, knocking him unconscious.
Just like that—Shrek Academy's dean, Flender—was kidnapped.
——
Back in the Huangdou Battle Team's hotel—
Everyone had returned, unaware there was another person in Zhou Sidong's room.
"Mom… about Big Sis…"
In his bedroom, door locked, Zhou Sidong looked troubled.
Bibi Dong understood.
"Mom knows."
She sighed softly—both children were her flesh.
"When I gave birth to you siblings, my first reaction was not joy—but rejection. To be honest… your father… was killed by me."
One day or another, this moment had to come.
She had regained her son, and her last knot toward Qian Renxue disappeared.
Qian Xunji was dead. At the moment of death, he sacrificed his life for Zhou Sidong. That redeemed his sin.
Zhou Sidong was stunned. He knew the story—but the details differed.
The scene shifted.
Night. Silent. Spirit Hall peaceful.
In a secret chamber—
Qian Xunji, wearing golden armor, clutched his chest. His face pale as paper. He had failed to intercept the Blue Silver Emperor and been heavily injured by Tang Hao's Da Xumi Hammer. He was at his weakest.
The chamber was the same one from years ago. He meditated to recover.
Then—the door opened.
"My good disciple, why have you come?"
Bibi Dong entered in a purple robe, carrying the lifeless but still-beating infant Zhou Sidong.
"Why did you bring Sidong here?"
Qian Xunji instantly grew alert—seeing killing intent in her eyes.
"To kill you."
Two simple words. Razor sharp.
Her strength far surpassed his at this moment. He was no match.
"Ah!!!"
Before he could react—the eight spider spears on her back extended. Four stabbed into his limbs, draining his power and life force.
"Bibi Dong! Why are you doing this!?"
"You disgraced me. Violated me. You beast who defiled your own disciple—you don't deserve to live!"
Her eyes were red, voice hysterical.
Qian Xunji was in agony—life slipping away.
In his final moments, he asked weakly:
"Bibi Dong… kill me—I accept. But why bring our son? He is our child! Have you become so ruthless…?"
But Bibi Dong then did something that stunned him.
Her right hand turned into a spider spear—and she pierced the infant Zhou Sidong lightly, injecting strands of golden life energy into him.
"Bibi Dong… you intend… one life for another?" Qian Xunji asked in disbelief.
She gave a twisted laugh. "For garbage like you, using your life to save my son is the only worthy thing you'll ever do."
"That is our son!"
Summoning a final burst of strength, Qian Xunji broke free.
He knew he would die.
"Bibi Dong… I will die today. I accept it."
He looked at the lifeless infant.
"Before dying… this teacher wishes to do one last thing."
Six pairs of golden angel wings opened.
Outside, Qian Daoliu arrived—his expression complex. He saw his son burning his soul.
Seeing the infant beside Bibi Dong, Qian Daoliu understood.
One life… for one life.
The light of the Seraphim illuminated the entire Spirit Hall.
Qian Xunji's body turned translucent. Under the eyes of Bibi Dong and Qian Daoliu—
His entire being plunged into infant Zhou Sidong's body.
His soul vanished forever.
"Sorry."
His final words.
When all was done, Qian Daoliu felt heartbroken. Though he wanted to kill Bibi Dong, his son's final choice—to sacrifice himself for his child—made him abandon the idea.
The next day, Spirit Hall announced Qian Xunji's death, issued a continent-wide warrant for Tang Hao, and demanded an explanation from the Clear Sky Sect.
Everything that happened afterward was what Zhou Sidong had seen in the dream.
——
Back in the room—
Zhou Sidong remained in shock. His father had died in such a way—part forced, part willing.
He crouched under the bed and pulled out a small memorial tablet.
"You…"
Bibi Dong twitched slightly.
Written on it: "Spirit Seat of the Late Father Qian Xunji."
He made it at six years old.
Though his father was far from admirable, and Zhou Sidong once felt resistance—
After hearing the truth, that final bit of resistance disappeared.
He bowed repeatedly, sincerely.
Bibi Dong stayed silent, watching. When he finished, she carefully put the spirit tablet away.
"Son… do you hate Mom?"
"No."
Zhou Sidong shook his head.
"Why? If not for me, your father wouldn't have died."
"But if it weren't for you, Mom, I wouldn't be alive standing before you."
Bibi Dong's nose stung.
"Your father gave his life so you could—…"
