Everyone instinctively followed Xu Jing's gaze towards Consort Fang, all puzzled.
Weren't we talking about the two missing heads? What does it have to do with Consort Fang?
Xu Jing looked at Consort Fang, who had been keeping her head down, afraid to meet her eyes, and continued, "When I arrived at the Full Moon Building yesterday, I suggested taking a pulse reading for the Consort to ensure her safety, yet she repeatedly refused. That's when I sensed something was amiss.
Later, I had Governor Zhang find the doctor from Xinzhou who had previously checked on the Consort. The doctor said he hadn't actually taken her pulse; she gave him a bag full of money as soon as he entered her room and asked him to simply say 'everything is fine' to others without doing anything.
