Norton displayed a gentleman's smile as he put his gloves back on: "It's nothing, really. The Marquis heard there's a girl in Burn City violating city management regulations, so he asked me to come and take a look."
Charlotte glanced between Josh and Norton: "Does Marquis Grant know her?"
Norton's face showed a bit of friendliness: "Not exactly, Captain. You might have been on the battlefield for too long to be aware of these things. Recently, this little girl has caused quite a stir, making the eldest son of the Marquis Grant's family lose face in a mission."
Understanding flashed in Charlotte's eyes.
Norton continued, "It's really just childish pranks, but this child is too young and audacious, a bit disrespectful, and said some words that offended the Marquis. The Marquis didn't take it seriously at the time. Who would have thought that just a few days later, she'd cause trouble again, sigh..."
Charlotte listened quietly, not interrupting.
