A pair of large hands scooped her into his embrace and carried her out. "Who let you in here? Hm?"
"Can't I come in?" Melody Thorne shrank into Jared Quinn's chest. "Why is it so cold in there? I almost froze to death."
"You can go anywhere in the villa, but that room is absolutely off-limits."
"Why?" Melody Thorne didn't understand.
Why can't she go in?
"Afraid you'll freeze to death."
Melody Thorne: "...then why did you have someone set it up like that? And what's that painting for?"
Once on the second floor, Jared Quinn tucked her into the covers, worried she might catch a cold.
"That painting is very old, from the last century. I bought it at auction for three hundred million."
"Three hundred million? That expensive?"
Jared Quinn chuckled, kissing her on the corner of her lips. There were many people vying for that painting. If he hadn't pulled some strings, he might not have gotten it even after three months.
