On the large bed in the bedroom, the quilt was piled up high.
Titus Quinn chuckled and walked to the bedside, pulling down the quilt covering her.
"Leon Rivers hasn't said he's going to do anything to you, what are you afraid of?" With ease, he picked her up,
Melody Thorne clutched the quilt tightly, her clear eyes filled with terror, "But he's a doctor."
She was most afraid of doctors.
"You don't need to be afraid. He won't do anything to you. He just wants to help clear the congestion in your brain.
"I don't want to go, it'll hurt."

Melody's eyes turned misty, not pretending to be scared, but truly afraid. Her legs hooked around Titus's waist, subconsciously believing she had been coquettish with him.
"I don't want to go, okay? I'm afraid of pain."
Her delicate voice would soften anyone's heart.
