"I didn't!" She gritted her teeth, raised her head unceremoniously, and replied coldly, "I said I wouldn't bother you, and I won't. Even if you pay me, I wouldn't want it!"
The hall echoed with gasps.

"Even if I pay you, you wouldn't want it?" Jared Quinn laughed in anger, his lips curling with a cold sneer, "Are you sure?"
Melody Thorne almost wanted to spit blood on his face. How could she not be sure?
"I've told you, I won't be clinging to you. What will it take for you to believe? Haven't I already stayed far away from you?" She explained wearily.
