Chapter 14 - ... The power of love ...

It's past 8 a.m.

Hyun-ho is sitting on a chair in the kitchen, teaching Han Su-bin how to bake.

Su-bin, with long, messy hair, has poured all the ingredients into the glass bowl of an electric mixer.

"Now you have to mix it all together… Well done, good girl." These are the words Hyun-ho says to 6-year-old Su-bin.

Su-bin turns on the electric mixer and all the ingredients are being mixed.

The sound of an electric mixer fills the house.

Hyun-ho looks at Han Gi-soo, who is sitting at the end of the hall, watching a documentary about nature.

"Gi-soo, come help me, man." He speaks loudly.

The television documentary shows the life of wild boars.

Han Gi-soo turns up the TV volume so he can't hear Hyun-ho.

Han Gi-soo smiles and whispers to himself, "Come on, boar. You're just like them."

His voice is calm, but clearly sarcastic.

"Han Gi-soo, come help your daughter. Why don't you come, man? Come on." Hyun-ho almost shouts.

Han Gi-soo doesn't even want to answer Hyun-ho.

Hyun-ho walks to the refrigerator and opens the door with his foot.

The effects of the numbing shots have worn off, and his fingers are feeling better.

He takes two chicken fillet sandwiches from the refrigerator and places them on the microwave tray.

There is still a shelf of the refrigerator full of sandwiches.

Su-bin walks in her own world.

In a childish world, unaware of all the problems of adults, she is playing with flour.

She taps the table to make the flour rise into the air.

Almost most of the kitchen is filled with flour.

"Su-bin, you can turn off the mixer now."

The cake batter is ready.

Su-bin spoons the batter into the tray that Hyun-ho had already greased.

She fills the baking tray with uneven, asymmetrical circles.

She also transforms some into strange shapes that clearly show her childlike creativity.

Su-bin speaks to Hyun-ho in her sweet, childish voice.

"Uncle, what should we do next?"

"We have to clean everything."

Hyun-ho barely puts the tray in the oven.

The dining table is messy.

Su-bin is very happy that she was able to make a cake.

She is playing with the leftover flour on the dining table.

'Ding'

The sound of a microwave can be heard.

Hyun-ho picks up the sandwiches, sits on the chair, and starts eating.

He takes the first bite of the sandwich.

The sound of the doorbell is heard and everyone stares at the door.

Young-choi enters the house.

Her face is disheveled, disheveled, and full of worry.

Su-bin, still immersed in her own world of baking, comes to her mother in dirty clothes.

7-year-old Han Yoo-seok, the smart and brave boy of the house! quickly comes out of his room and runs towards the stairs.

"Momy. Momy…" The words that Su-bin says excitedly.

Knowing his sister, Yoo-seok knows that now she will reveal their secrets.

Yoo-seok speaks to his sister in a loud, commanding voice.

"Han Su-bin! Wasn't it supposed to be a secret? Should I tell Mom that we had sandwiches and fried chicken for breakfast?"

Su-bin looks at her brother with a sad and resentful expression.

"No. No. Don't tell, brother. I promise I won't say anything."

Young-choi is so tired that she didn't even realize that Yoo-seok revealed the secrets herself.

In the Han family, eating sandwiches, fast food, and high-fat foods is prohibited.

[By order of the head of the house: Da Young-choi]

Young-choi takes Su-bin's hand and walks towards the bedroom.

She is very tired and of course very sleepy.

On the other hand, she is very worried and sad about this situation.

She pauses a moment and looks at Hyun-ho.

"I have business with you later. We didn't get a chance to talk last night."

She shakes her head sadly, hugs Su-bin, and goes upstairs.

The whole time, Han Gi-soo just watched.

.

Sun-hee quickly drives into the underground parking lot of Dr. Jung's hospital.

The sound of her car's heavy braking echoes through the parking lot like a loud scream.

As soon as the car stops, she quickly opens the door and gets out.

She even leaves the car door half open and runs towards the elevator without the slightest pause.

Her long steps are filled with anxiety and worry, and the only thing she thinks about is reaching Kim.

Floor 4 - The last floor.

The hospital's special ward is located on that floor.

In Kim's room, there is a doctor and a nurse with Ji-hye.

Ji-hye, who wears the hospital resident uniform, stands out among the other staff.

A steel box on wheels containing some syringes, ampoules, and serum is placed next to Kim's bed.

The doctor is checking Kim's condition with a sullen and grumpy face.

The nurse and Ji-hye are each carefully taking notes.

Smart double-glazed glass partially blocks direct sunlight, soften the room light.

And

Sun-hee knocks hard on the door and enters the room.

Her presence echoes through the room like the sound of an explosion, filling the space with violence and anxiety.

Everything stops in an instant.

Three people tremble in shock at once.

Until now, Sun-hee wanted to get here faster, but now that she's here, she pauses.

She is scared to see Kim in this state and her steps become numb.

She walks with difficulty and gets closer.

The doctor angrily approaches Sun-hee and tries to stop her.

He voice is hoarse and threatening.

"Ma'am! What's up? There's no barn here. Get out."

Sun-hee walks with strength and weight, getting closer to Kim with each step.

Her eyes are filled with tears.

Ji-hye recognized Sun-hee as soon as she saw her.

She takes two steps back.

She knew that despite her slender frame, this woman had a strength that even Kim could not resist.

... The power of love ...

Ji-hye had already seen Sun-hee put out the fire of that hell.

The nurse also walks towards Sun-hee.

"Ma'am…"

Ji-hye grabs the nurse's hand from behind and pulls her tightly towards her.

The nurse stops short.

She is surprised by Ji-hye's move.

Ji-hye covers the nurse's mouth with her hand to stop her from speaking.

Ji-hye whispers in the nurse's ear.

The nurse walks over to the steel box, prepares a syringe, and holds it in her hand.

She comes towards Ji-hye.

The doctor stands in front of Sun-hee and stops her from going towards Kim.

Suddenly, Sun-hee attacks the doctor like a wild cat.

Her hands grab the doctor's face quickly and mercilessly.

He is thrown aside and lets out a terrible scream as he falls to the ground.

"Security. Security. Someone call security."

His scream encompasses the entire special section.

Sun-hee stands over Kim without saying a word.

Absolute silence.

She gently runs her hand over Kim's head and face.

So many tears have gathered in her eyes that her vision is completely blurred.

Finally, the first tear falls from Sun-hee's eyes, paving the way for an endless sea of tears.

Her breaths are filled with pain.

Longing.

Loneliness.

Fear.

Fire.

It's as if her soul is dead.

Her mouth is wide open, but no sound comes out.

She just ...

She is moans.

She is crying.

She is groans.

And finally she screams.

But she doesn't say a single word.

She lets out all her pain in a single scream.

"No…"

Her hands are shaking, but she gently caresses the skin of Kim's face.

The doctor stands in a corner, staring at Sun-hee.

The special security guard enters the room.

Seeing this scene, the doctor again points to security.

He gestures with his finger to the security to take Sun-hee out of the room.

Ji-hye stands in front of the security guard and doesn't let him get close to Sun-hee.

The doctor looks at the security guard angrily.

"Why are you standing there looking at me? Throw these two out. Out of the hospital."

He even pointed at Ji-hye.

"You don't deserve this outfit. "You're fired right now."

[Doctor Bitch]

Ji-hye walks over to the steel box and picks up an empty syringe, fills it with air, and walks over to the doctor, placing the syringe on the doctor's neck.

She does this very seriously and professionally.

The nurse stares at Ji-hye in surprise and smiles.

She has somehow taken a liking to Ji-hye.

She goes to the security guard to cooperate with Ji-hye and stands in front of him.

She raises the syringe like Ji-hye, but she takes it in front of the security guard.

"As you can see, this lady is with the patient, and this is also Ms. Jung's special room and patient! What do you think she would do to you, even you, the doctor, if she found out what you were doing?"

"F i r e d, fired." Ji-hye says the word firmly.

The doctor slowly steps back.

He moves away from Ji-hye's hand.

Ji-hye drops the syringe she is holding onto the box.

She takes the syringe from the nurse and walks towards Sun-hee.

The nurse, doctor, and security are staring at Ji-hye.

Ji-hye inserts the syringe into Sun-hee's neck and completely drains the liquid.

Sun-hee feels a burning sensation in her neck.

But she is still touching Kim's face and body.

She stands behind Soon-hee and hugs her tightly.

Sun-hee slowly faints.

The nurse comes to Ji-hye's aid and they lay Sun-hee on the floor.

The doctor and security guard, surprised by Ji-hye's action, leave the room without saying a word.

The nurse happily sits next to Ji-hye.

Sun-hee lies softly in Ji-hye's arms.
