On October 7th, students in Year 1 and Year 2 were still enjoying their National Day holiday, while the Year 3 students had been back at school for three days already.
This morning at nine o'clock there was a parents' meeting scheduled for each Year 3 class, so at ten to nine, the homeroom teacher instructed the students to go out to the playground and wait until the meeting ended before returning to the classroom to join their parents in the gym for the Year 3 motivational assembly.
Liam Shaw and Ethan Hayes walked slowly behind their classmates as they headed out of the classroom.
Like them, students from other classes were also being sent to the playground, so the corridor was bustling with people everywhere.
Ethan Hayes looked at the crowded corridor and couldn't help but feel overwhelmed. He paused for a moment, frowned, and said to Liam Shaw, "Let's go down later, I don't like being around so many people."
