"What is this??" Ethan Hayes looked at the glass of water in Vivian York's hand and couldn't help but frown, "Plain water??"
"Purified water." Vivian York placed the glass on the coffee table in front of Ethan and said, "That's all we have at home. Drink it if you want, or don't."
"..." Ethan stared at her for a while before finally picking up the glass and taking a sip.
Alright, bland and tasteless.
Ethan silently placed the glass back on the coffee table.
"Ethan, Vivian, it's time for dinner!" Just then, Mrs. York opened the kitchen door, and the hum of the exhaust fan instantly became clearer. Amidst the hum, waves of food aroma floated out from the kitchen.
"Dinner time, dinner time." Vivian quickly finished the last bite of her banana, then stood up and tugged at Ethan's arm, "Come on, come on, let's eat."
"It's just dinner, why are you so excited, like you haven't eaten in eight hundred years." Ethan stood up slowly while disdainfully looking at Vivian.
