"Hey buddy, you have a good eye!" Laura Parsons gave Ethan Hayes a big thumbs up and said, "Our Vivian was the school beauty back in high school, great grades, stunning looks. The line of boys chasing after her could stretch from the classroom door to the school gate."
"So there were that many people after you..." Ethan bowed his head and gave Vivian York a meaningful look.
Vivian York looked at him with a helpless and amused expression and said, "Don't listen to her nonsense. We were all busy studying in high school; who had time to chase after me?"
"No one chased you, but the boys who secretly liked you could probably line up to the school gate." Jenna Lewis chimed in, then looked at Ethan and said, "But little brother, you don't stand a chance anyway. You and Vivian are relatives; you can't be together."
"Oh, but we aren't actually related by blood." Ethan added nonchalantly after she said that.
