"Mm." Ethan Hayes took the fork handed over by Vivian York and sat down on a chair by the dining table.
The ramen she cooked was aromatic, with each perfectly translucent noodle carefully topped with a layer of cooked vegetables and sausage, with a plump poached egg on the side.
Ethan hesitated for a moment, picked up the fork, and took a bite.
"How is it, is it good?" Vivian sat across from him, her little hands supporting her chin, watching him proudly with a smile, "Not to brag, but my ramen is absolutely the best in the world. This has been the result of my meticulous research over the years."
"It's okay." Ethan looked up at her, expressionlessly spitting out the three words.
Although her cooking was indeed delicious, he just didn't want to praise her.
"You say one thing and mean another." Vivian made a face at him and then urged, "Hurry up and eat."
"Mm." Ethan lowered his head and quickly finished the bowl of ramen in front of him, drinking all the broth, too.
