Maya keenly sensed the danger coming; he was almost upon her, the distance between them closing rapidly.
Maya reached out her hand to press against Ian's chest, her eyelids twitching: "No, what do you... mean?"
What was happening now?! This scenario wasn't in the plot! Did going to the old house once change the storyline?
