Fan Wubing stood at the foot of the mountain, gazing up at the towering peaks of the Central Spirit Mountain.
The Heaven-Questioning Sect was nestled among these mountains.
Immortal Spirit Qi, almost tangible, flowed through every inch of space. A mortal arriving here might live for a century by merely inhaling.
As if already expecting it, Elder Huai Jingming of the Heaven-Questioning Sect was waiting at the mountain gate.
Upon seeing Fan Wubing, he stepped forward and bowed deeply, performing a solemn Dao salutation,
"Greetings, Master of All Beings."
Fan Wubing said,
"Elder Huai, there's no need for this."
"Your achievements are eternal; such treatment is warranted."
Fan Wubing shook his head and said no more. Huai Jingming was a "traditional" person; although he was of the immortal family, he valued rules and etiquette deeply. Calling him the Grand Elder of the Heaven-Questioning Sect was less fitting than describing him as the old steward of the Divine Phoenix Hall.
