The lamp was suddenly turned off, and Summer Shawcross was startled for a moment. She raised her hand to rub her slightly uncomfortable eyes and then turned her head to glance at the man beside her.
"I have confidence in my own eyes." She bit her lip and said, then reached out to turn the small lamp back on, continuing with her task.
Her actions caused Noah Drexler to frown, and his handsome face showed a bit more anger.
"Summer Shawcross, are you deliberately trying to upset me?" He pressed his thin lips together, asking her unhappily in a restrained voice.
Was she deliberately trying to upset him?
Listening to his displeased voice, Summer, however, did not have much of a reaction. She just sat on the carpet and carefully continued piecing together the crystal cup fragments.
Seeing that she ignored him, the man's body stiffened, and for a moment, he was at a loss for words.
