Mrs. Pei placed the little girl into Qin Yun's arms, and Qin Yun's posture was a bit stiff. Mrs. Pei carefully guided her while reminiscing about Pei Yan's childhood.
"Pei Yan was so ugly when he was born, like a wrinkled little monkey. It took a few months of nurturing before he looked somewhat presentable."
Mrs. Pei adjusted Qin Yun's wrist to a position that would be comfortable for the baby to sleep. Qin Yun curiously looked down at her own baby.
The little one closed her eyes again, sleeping deeply, completely undisturbed by any movement.
She was so obedient and soft.
Qin Yun watched for several minutes, never lifting her head, making everyone around them laugh.
Sun Wan'er looked at the other child and asked Pei Yan, "Do you want to hold your brother?"
Pei Yan shifted his gaze from Qin Yun to his son in the crib.
The little son hadn't cried at all and wasn't asleep like his sister.
