Chapter 11 - Chapter 10: "The first war"

Surya dashed straight ahead, his boots kicking up dust.

"Surya!" Larra shouted from behind, half-panicked, half-scolding. "Our martial arts training hasn't even started yet so be careful, you reckless kid!"

Surya ignored her, his focus locked on Hokori. Light began to swirl around his arm, gathering at his fist until it glowed a bright, golden yellow. The air shimmered from the heat and pressure.

"Light Fist, impact !!!"

He lunged forward, twisting his body to dodge Hokori's reaching hand. His glowing punch landed clean against Hokori's chesta loud crack echoed through the air.

Hokori slid back a few feet, boots digging into the ground. A faint smirk formed on his face. "Heh… not bad for someone who's still learning to throw a punch."

A second later, Hokori's smirk faded.

The ground beneath him cracked, light spreading out from where Surya's fist had landed. A powerful shockwave followed, blasting through the air and shaking the broken remains of the library around them.

Hokori dropped to one knee, clutching his chest as a faint burn mark glowed through his shirt. "Tch… that punch had an aftershock?" he muttered, surprised.

Surya stood a few feet away, panting, his glowing fist dimming. "That's the Light Fist's second strike," he said quietly. "It hits after the first one… just in case."

Hokori chuckled through gritted teeth. "Heh… sneaky little brat."

Hokori's eyes widened. His gloved hand grazed only air the spot where Surya stood was now empty, dust scattering from the aftershock.

"What-?!" Hokori hissed, spinning around.

A faint glimmer appeared above him. Surya was already midair, light swirling around his feet like wings.

"You rely too much on your hands!" Surya shouted, diving down.

Hokori looked up just as Surya's glowing heel came crashing toward him a strike fast enough to blur his vision.

Then a portal opened under Hokori.

"It looks like my time is over, I'm going to warn you....the Order is coming at you"

Hokori said while slowly getting pulled by an ally portal.

"I know.", surya replied.

"The organization Order will destroy everything using magic, so be prepared, they have a device that store magic energy or mana inside of it and when it detonate.... No one will survive, so what will you do... Kid?,in less than 5 days....", he vanished.

The portal swallowed him whole — light twisting into darkness until nothing was left but a faint ripple in the air.

Surya stood frozen, dust swirling around his boots. The echo of Hokori's words rang in his mind.

"…Five days," he muttered, clenching his fists.

Larra lowered her staff, her expression grim. "A mana storage device... if that's true, they could wipe out an entire kingdom."

Kael took a deep breath, his voice shaky but steady. "Then we don't have time to rest. We find the Order before they use it."

Surya looked toward the horizon where the sky burned orange with the setting sun.

"Yeah," he said quietly. "It's our turn to stop them."

After that, the next day, a meeting was held by the council known as MagiTechia, an adventurer council formed by the strongest adventurers around the kingdoms of Roddesha, North and South krimnaa.

The room was filled with tension and the low hum of mana crystals lighting the round table. Maps were spread across it sketches of the Order's fortress, the mountain terrain, and nearby villages marked with red and blue pins.

The members of MagiTechia stood in silence as Larra stepped forward.

"The Order's mana device will detonate in five days," she began. "If Hokori was right, this isn't just a single explosion. It'll spread a chain reaction across the three kingdoms."

Everyone exchanged serious looks.

Hazen, the man known as ice, stood up, "I'm hosting this meeting because of one thing....", a screen opened behind him, a screen powered by surya's light magic, the screen played a voice recording made by surya's memory from his previous conversation with Hokori.

"The organization Order will destroy everything using magic, so be prepared, they have a device that store magic energy or mana inside of it and when it detonate.... No one will survive, so what will you do... Kid?,in less than 5 days....",

The audio recording ended.

Surya stood up, his expression was serious, "Yes it's true, that's what Hokori said."

Edelgard, the man known as stone, replied to Surya, "hey kid, this Hokori guy.... Is he the one responsible for destroying the library of peritia?"

"Yes sir, but, he didn't tell us the reason why he did, I'm sorry.", Surya replied apologize.

Surya showed a map on the screen using his memory.

Hazen speaks, "This is the map of the Order's base, Surya, Larra and kael are the only person here that successfully entered their base before, they even managed to draw a whole map from in and out of it.".

Surya replied, " Sir, but we didn't actually entered it through, we got blocked by some guy who have a mask and he has our friend and he was being controlled by the masked guy."

Mia, also known as Arrow, crossed her arms, "That guy might be Eliot, he's known for manipulating his enemies to do his crimes for him, his one of the wild cards of the Order, they're strong, what plan do you have in mind ,kid? And you Hazen?"

Mia added, "Not only that, there's a whole army of guards just hiding on their base and only five of them was always out for guarding duties."

Everyone in the meeting listened carefully.

Hazen replied. "...we'll split into two groups. One for offense, one for rescue."

Fanggard, the Vampire King, leaned on the wall with a smirk. "Heh, I'll handle the guards. Been a while since I stretched my wings."

Mia, the Arrow, adjusted her bow. "I'll take the rooftops and cover evac routes."

Cain, Illusion, glanced at Surya. "You threeSurya, Kael, Larra you'll handle the core. Find the mana device and destroy it."

Surya nodded. "Understood."

Rosalia, called Red Death, added coldly, "Be careful. The Order's not a bunch of amateurs anymore. They've been preparing for years."

Hazen added, "and for the oothers, Claire, hauling will create a wide barrier that will keep the enemies inside and prevent destruction spread."

Kael looked around the table. "Then let's end this before they can start another war."

As the meeting came to a close, Larra placed a hand on the map. "Everyone, move out by dawn. MagiTechia's mission begins now."

The candles flickered and one by one, the greatest mages of the continent vanished into light.

The world outside the council hall was still wrapped in pre-dawn silence. Mist rolled low across the stone streets of Velliz, the city of defense, its towers faintly glowing with mana lights.

At the northern gate, cloaked figures gathered one by one — members of MagiTechia, each radiating their own aura of power.

Surya tightened the straps of his gloves, his light core pulsing faintly beneath his skin. Larra adjusted the ornaments on her staff while Kael checked the seals on his mana bullets.

Hazen's cold voice broke the silence.

"Once we leave this gate, we move as one. No mistakes. The Order won't hesitate, and neither will we."

"Understood," the group replied in unison.

The massive gates creaked open, the morning wind sweeping through. Rays of golden sunlight cut through the fog — the dawn of their mission.

Larra glanced at Surya. "You didn't sleep last night, did you?"

Surya smiled faintly. "Couldn't. Every time I close my eyes, I hear Hokori's voice again."

Kael sighed. "Forget him. He chose his path. We just need to make sure no one else dies because of theirs."

Larra's expression softened. "Still… he warned us. Maybe not all of them are beyond saving."

Surya looked ahead toward the horizon where the mountain of the Order's fortress rose like a shadow against the morning sun.

"Whether he meant it or not… we'll find out soon enough."

Hazen raised his hand, the air around them shimmering as magic circles formed beneath their feet.

"Teams, move out. MagiTechia's operation begins."

The ground lit up.

One by one, the heroes vanished in flashes of elemental light wind, flame, ice, and radiance scattering across the lands toward a single destination.

As Surya's group materialized on the far side of the river near the Order's territory, the air felt heavy, almost trembling with the presence of magic.

Kael crouched beside the rocks, scanning ahead. "There the outer sentries. Five visible."

Larra nodded. "Just like Mia said."

Surya's eyes glowed faintly gold Eye of Feelings activating.

"Wait… something's off. They're scared."

Kael frowned. "Scared? Of what?"

Before Surya could answer, the ground beneath them rumbled.

A distant explosion echoed from deep within the mountain a crimson flash lighting the sky for a brief second.

Larra gripped her staff. "They've already started the activation sequence."

Surya's gaze hardened. "Then this is it… our five days just became one."

A massive burst of light shot straight into the sky a towering column of blinding blue energy that split the clouds apart.

For a second, the whole world froze. The sun vanished behind the glare, and the sky turned dark, like midnight had fallen in the middle of morning.

The ground trembled violently. Trees bent. Stones cracked. Even the air seemed to pulse with mana.

Kael shielded his eyes. "What the hell was that?!"

Larra's voice trembled as she steadied her staff, blue reflections dancing across her armor. "That… that's no explosion. That's pure mana being released directly into the atmosphere."

Surya stared at the sky, his golden eyes reflecting the spiral of blue light. He could feel it waves of energy crashing through the air, heavy enough to make breathing difficult.

"No… it's worse. That's the device… they've already activated it!"

Hazen's voice echoed through the communicator crystal in Larra's hand.

"—All units, report! A mana surge has just been detected! Repeat, the Order's weapon has been activated ahead of schedule! We're down to less than twenty-four hours!"

Static crackled. Fanggard's voice came next, deep and furious.

"Too late for stealth then. I'm breaking through the front gate!"

Larra looked at Surya, her face pale. "Surya, what do we do? If that thing detonates—"

Surya clenched his fists, his aura flaring with radiant light that cut through the dark sky.

"Then we end this before it does."

He turned toward the mountain fortress — where the column of blue light continued to rise, twisting into the heavens like a beacon of destruction.

Kael loaded his weapon and grinned weakly. "Guess this is it then. No turning back."

Larra nodded, eyes fierce. "We'll destroy the device… or die trying."

Surya's light surged brighter, wrapping around his body like armor.

"Then let's move. MagiTechia advance!"

The three of them sprinted toward the roaring light, their shadows swallowed by the storm of blue mana above.
